He is my favorite robot master of Megaman 9, both because of music and difficulty of stage. I call the stage "Hazard Hive" because there are so many enemies. I hate his weapon, though as it has few uses to me.
@mrgameandpie I chose to approach this game using nothing but the Mega Buster during the Robot Master fights. This is so that I can learn the intricacies of each Robot Master's fighting styles.
I HATE this level with a passion. Out of all the other 8 games, this is probably the only non-Wiley mega man level I really hate. Those hedge clippers are sadistic. 1/3 health gone per hit. Also, that damn flower with the spinning whatever the hell it is sucks too.
It's close, but Blast Hornet. Hornet Man has a pattern so you know what comes next. I think Blast Hornet's attacks are a little harder to dodge especially his overdrive attack.
I like this stage and theme. It sounds like something from Megaman 2(which most of them do.), but different. It has that upbeat tone and simple melodic feel with the usual fast beat pace, like most of the themes in Megaman 9.
But there is some alteration I noticed in them. They are a bit longer and range in a better interval of pitch, making the music for the stages quite enjoyable.(Tornado Man's Theme is a prime example) I just hate it when some sounds conflict with the tunes that play.
The end of the movie was pretty funny! this level really must have ate away at you since you died so many times. as for me, I suck at Megaman games I've only beaten Megaman X games (one through six)
Not in my case. The original Megaman games were very hard for me, but the Megaman X games were kind of easy and kind of hard for me. I don't know why... they just were.
Strange. X1 through X3 are considered among the hardest of them all. Perhaps you just play differently from most other people. (Don't worry; I do too.)
I guess you're right. X1 through X3 were kinda hard, and X4 through X6 were pretty easy. I guess in the later Megaman X games, the improved weapons and the armor choices made the game way to easy.
I actually never finished playing X7 and X8. My older brother went to college just recently and he took the PS2, So I unfortunately never got through. But in the little time I did play I found X7 and X8 to be kinda hard. I beat five of the Maverick bosses in both games, but thats about it.
I've played through all eight Mega Man X games. MMX8 is pretty hard to play through on your first run-through (especially when you have to beat up the final boss. The time limit at the end of the battle makes it near IMPOSSIBLE).
I can relate to LucarioFan; I find the MM Classic games to be harder, as you have no armor to back you up (then again, my first Mega Man game was MMX2 for the SNES), with MM1 being one of the hardest. (Can anyone say "Yellow Devil"?)
Yeah, it turns out it does stand for "Mystery Tank." Roll says its full name when you select it in a shop. The secret use for it is when you use it at full health and all weapon energy as full.
This level took me so long to complete. I died a lot at the flower boss, where I either jumped into him or fell in the spikes. Then I got past that and lost a lot against Hornet man. Im like you, I cant beat him easily. And this was before I figured out the bosses have weaknesses and that you can buy things that help you. I just figured that out in Dr. Wilys stage
Then you're pretty good for having made it that far without knowing about these things.
One thing I found out is that about half of the people who play this game find Hornet Man really hard, and the other half find him really easy. I've been looking around. It boils down to whether you're better at skills and timing or if you're better at strategy and planning. Hornet Man is largely about perfect timing with Mega Buster jumps, something I can't do well.
Kaydee the old megaman games are pretty hard, and this new one is pretty hard too, but if you are a veteran to these games it isnt as hard as if your new. dont judge people. Oh and yes, you do suck at brawl mr.Gameelo or should i say Kaydee.
Anyway, this comment is a response to your Tornado Man Run.
To beat Hornet Man you have to Take out at least two of his Bees first. After that you have to avoid the 1 Bee chasing you and simply jump over Hornet Man. Try to stay on top of the stage, don't go into the dips. Once he starts to fly get a few shots in and also try to get a shot in when he falls. It's not Hornet Man who is hard, it's just the Bee's.
Also I found Galaxy Man hard just because I FAILED a lot when battling him.
Yeah, I had figured that I have to get rid of those bees as soon as possible. The problem is that I cant get rid of them fast enough. The reason why I guided you over here is so that yu can see what it is I've been doing wrong.
That I can understand, as I find them to be the two easiest Robot Masters with the most merciful stages. (I suspect Jewel Man isn't one of them, despite how easily he can be manipulated, because his stage is actually very difficult.)
I see people telling me I should've started with Hornet Man, and I've seen a few runthroughs of this game beginning with Hornet Man, so it feels like there should be some sort of devastating trick to Hornet Man I'm not getting.
I adore hornets! I like every concept about them. Such power they have... They strike fear in many people just by making their presence clear. Thats why vespiquen is one of my favorite pokemon.
Those platforms that uncurl themselves when you shoot them remind me of those platforms in yoshi topsy-turvy. Then again, a lot of things "seem" to have been taken from someplace else. Like the new Eterna gym's "grass clock". (totally irrelevant)
Usually, grasslands levels are common and bland in videogames, but in Megaman, there are rarely grassland stages, so it's nice to see them. Quite an interesting difference.
Also, I personally Hornet Man is perhaps the coolest looking boss in the game. Not to mention his stage song ROCKS!
Yeah, and for some reason, everything is mechanical. Even this stage. I'd guess that the flowers and bushes aren't, but the floor definitely is. Extremely rarely do you get a stage design in a Mega Man game that's largely organic. (Sword Man's stage from Mega Man 8 was one.)
It's all about patience and perseverence. Eventually, you learn how the enemies and obstacles work and what you have to do to get by them. Of course, the difficulty is that they're rarely obvious, and you have to exploit them perfectly for all it's worth.
lol your garden is more worse than flower pots with homing flowermissiles, a Killing flower clock and flying hedgetrimmers... i don't wanna know how u live than lol

Well, there was Wood Man with his falling leaves.

True...but those were LEAVES, not petals. Major technicality.
MasterZebulin 3 years ago
Yeah, petals are a lot softer than leaves, in general, and petals are modified sepals, which aren't leaves.
Nevertheless, Hornet Man's place is one crazy flower garden.

M-Tank is a Mega Tank, meaning like a mega refill for our hero :3

In fact, it stands for Mystery Tank IIRC. Because of the secret use of the item.

It can fetch items for you. Even ones in areas you can't reach or blocked off by walls.
