  • He is my favorite robot master of Megaman 9, both because of music and difficulty of stage. I call the stage "Hazard Hive" because there are so many enemies. I hate his weapon, though as it has few uses to me.

  • @helloimawesome77 I often use it to get far-away items.

  • 6:43-7:22

    DEATH MONTAGE!

  • Use the bombman weapon on the bees duh.

  • geez, now they start using women and animals, what's next?

A YorkshireTerrierWomen and a Bulldogman? XD XD

and i know the best: Batman and Spiderman -.- ......

  • 2:25

Lol that huge flower stick reminds me of the fire stick in mario

  • as long as you have the Black Hole bomb to counter his hornet attack he isn't all that hard.

  • @mrgameandpie I chose to approach this game using nothing but the Mega Buster during the Robot Master fights. This is so that I can learn the intricacies of each Robot Master's fighting styles.

  • ah, ok then. I would have a hard time beating hornet man as well

  • 這是什麼腦包影片阿=皿=*

  • this level is hard, especially the boss

  • Thanks, I was stuck on a part in this level. I love the music, but it still can't beat Megaman 2's Dr. Wily stage.

  • Great comment xD

  • lol theres like an exploding montosh at the end

  • I HATE this level with a passion. Out of all the other 8 games, this is probably the only non-Wiley mega man level I really hate. Those hedge clippers are sadistic. 1/3 health gone per hit. Also, that damn flower with the spinning whatever the hell it is sucks too.

  • PLant man's cousin

  • Who do you think is harder: Hornet Man or Blast Hornet from MMX3?

  • I don't know. I've never played any of the Mega Man X series.

  • I left that question as an open question, not specifically targeted to you.

  • Blast hornet. Bar none.

  • It's close, but Blast Hornet. Hornet Man has a pattern so you know what comes next. I think Blast Hornet's attacks are a little harder to dodge especially his overdrive attack.

  • I ain't played Megaman 9, but Blast Hornet is very hard. One of the worst bosses of Megaman X3.

  • I like this stage and theme. It sounds like something from Megaman 2(which most of them do.), but different. It has that upbeat tone and simple melodic feel with the usual fast beat pace, like most of the themes in Megaman 9.

But there is some alteration I noticed in them. They are a bit longer and range in a better interval of pitch, making the music for the stages quite enjoyable.(Tornado Man's Theme is a prime example) I just hate it when some sounds conflict with the tunes that play.

  • ANyone noticed that he BARELY beat the flower with one point left?

  • The end of the movie was pretty funny! this level really must have ate away at you since you died so many times. as for me, I suck at Megaman games I've only beaten Megaman X games (one through six)

  • Mega Man X is a very hard game though. If you can beat that, you don't suck at Mega Man games.

  • Not in my case. The original Megaman games were very hard for me, but the Megaman X games were kind of easy and kind of hard for me. I don't know why... they just were.

  • Strange. X1 through X3 are considered among the hardest of them all. Perhaps you just play differently from most other people. (Don't worry; I do too.)

  • I guess you're right. X1 through X3 were kinda hard, and X4 through X6 were pretty easy. I guess in the later Megaman X games, the improved weapons and the armor choices made the game way to easy.

  • What about X7 and X8? (I've never played any Mega Man X game, by the way.)

  • I actually never finished playing X7 and X8. My older brother went to college just recently and he took the PS2, So I unfortunately never got through. But in the little time I did play I found X7 and X8 to be kinda hard. I beat five of the Maverick bosses in both games, but thats about it.

  • I've played through all eight Mega Man X games. MMX8 is pretty hard to play through on your first run-through (especially when you have to beat up the final boss. The time limit at the end of the battle makes it near IMPOSSIBLE).

I can relate to LucarioFan; I find the MM Classic games to be harder, as you have no armor to back you up (then again, my first Mega Man game was MMX2 for the SNES), with MM1 being one of the hardest. (Can anyone say "Yellow Devil"?)

  • Whats the yellow devil? i just got the vitural console game and im at wily's castle

  • The Yellow Devil is one of the bosses in Wily's Castle in Mega Man 1.

  • but whats so bad about him?

  • man you suck

  • Ahaha! I've heard of killer bees, but this is ridiculous!!

Bwahaha!!! You got killed by a FLOWER PETAL!?

    Ahahaha!!

  • Well, there was Wood Man with his falling leaves.

  • True...but those were LEAVES, not petals. Major technicality.

  • Yeah, petals are a lot softer than leaves, in general, and petals are modified sepals, which aren't leaves.

Nevertheless, Hornet Man's place is one crazy flower garden.

  • Crazy? HA! That has to be the understatement of the year!

  • Then why were you laughing at being killed by a flower petal?

  • Don't remember! I just found it hilarious at the time. AND STILL DO!!!XD

  • lets not forget Plantman and hispetals...

  • stupid youtube! I hate the time limit crud. I'm one of the many people who likes watching mega man die! It's funny =D

    seriously though, great video.

  • I lol'd 6:45-7:22. Hornet Man reminds me of Snake Man from MM3.....I really gotta get this on my Wii.

  • "M" stands for "Mystery", because what they do is supposed to be a mystery.

  • M-Tank is a Mega Tank, meaning like a mega refill for our hero :3

Wow, remind me never to underestimate plants again XD

  • In fact, it stands for Mystery Tank IIRC. Because of the secret use of the item.

  • Huh, is tht so? It always refilled Rokku's energy and weapon meters in past games (at least for me they did, if it really is a mystery)

  • Yeah, it turns out it does stand for "Mystery Tank." Roll says its full name when you select it in a shop. The secret use for it is when you use it at full health and all weapon energy as full.

  • Ah I see. I had no idea. I just thought of it as a kind of mega-elixir for Mega Man =D

  • oops forgot about the energy cans lol

  • I cant beat him

  • Oh, i always do hornet man first :O

  • Did G4's X-Play do a review of this?

  • I don't know. But I'd bet they did. (There's no X-Play Mega Man 9 review on GameRankings, however.)

  • One thing I like about this game, is that the boss battles are so epic, even though it's an 8-bit game. When you beat them, it's so rewarding.

  • It's because for the msot part, it takes so much out of you to get there that when you finish it, you feel really good about yourself.

  • Exactly!

  • This level took me so long to complete. I died a lot at the flower boss, where I either jumped into him or fell in the spikes. Then I got past that and lost a lot against Hornet man. Im like you, I cant beat him easily. And this was before I figured out the bosses have weaknesses and that you can buy things that help you. I just figured that out in Dr. Wilys stage

  • Then you're pretty good for having made it that far without knowing about these things.

One thing I found out is that about half of the people who play this game find Hornet Man really hard, and the other half find him really easy. I've been looking around. It boils down to whether you're better at skills and timing or if you're better at strategy and planning. Hornet Man is largely about perfect timing with Mega Buster jumps, something I can't do well.

  • Magma man's weopon works wonders against him

  • I wanted to beat all the Robot Masters using only the Mega Buster.

  • wtf willem you never saw me play but you will when i pwn you with kirby,mk,lucario, luigi and alot of others and overhazerd love your vids XD

  • you mabye suck at this game you pwn with brawl:P

  • Kaydee the old megaman games are pretty hard, and this new one is pretty hard too, but if you are a veteran to these games it isnt as hard as if your new. dont judge people. Oh and yes, you do suck at brawl mr.Gameelo or should i say Kaydee.

  • Wait...am I getting this correctly? You just said not to judge people, then you immediately judge GAMEELO's ability to play SSBB.

I don't mind it when people tell me I suck at Mega Man 9. That's the point of these videos.

  • I know him Irl i was just joking around with him, and yes i´ve seen him play.

  • Oh, okay then. I didn't know that.

  • lolol this is fuunny ass hell the funny part was when you died....no offence:PXD

  • Nah, that's the point of this video, to show that I'm bad at this game.

  • GOSH DARNED BEEEES!!!!

  • what console is this for?

  • Anyway, this comment is a response to your Tornado Man Run.

To beat Hornet Man you have to Take out at least two of his Bees first. After that you have to avoid the 1 Bee chasing you and simply jump over Hornet Man. Try to stay on top of the stage, don't go into the dips. Once he starts to fly get a few shots in and also try to get a shot in when he falls. It's not Hornet Man who is hard, it's just the Bee's.

Also I found Galaxy Man hard just because I FAILED a lot when battling him.

  • Yeah, I had figured that I have to get rid of those bees as soon as possible. The problem is that I cant get rid of them fast enough. The reason why I guided you over here is so that yu can see what it is I've been doing wrong.

  • Now that I think about it, this guys awfully similar to the pain from MGS3. Like Konami didnt rip off this!

  • If anything, Capcom ripped off from The Pain (I know who he is, by the way), since Mega Man 9 was just released last month.

  • On a side note, the Bee Can--I mean Hornet Chaser has another useful, uh, use

It can fetch items for you. Even ones in areas you can't reach or blocked off by walls.

  • Yeah, I found out about that. Although when I tried that, the bees often just go for an enemy instead.

  • Actually most people recommend either Galaxy or Splash first, not Hornet

  • That I can understand, as I find them to be the two easiest Robot Masters with the most merciful stages. (I suspect Jewel Man isn't one of them, despite how easily he can be manipulated, because his stage is actually very difficult.)

I see people telling me I should've started with Hornet Man, and I've seen a few runthroughs of this game beginning with Hornet Man, so it feels like there should be some sort of devastating trick to Hornet Man I'm not getting.

  • I adore hornets! I like every concept about them. Such power they have... They strike fear in many people just by making their presence clear. Thats why vespiquen is one of my favorite pokemon.

Those platforms that uncurl themselves when you shoot them remind me of those platforms in yoshi topsy-turvy. Then again, a lot of things "seem" to have been taken from someplace else. Like the new Eterna gym's "grass clock". (totally irrelevant)

  • Floral clocks are common fixtures in flower gardens and large parks. Pokémon didn't in vent them, of course.

  • Usually, grasslands levels are common and bland in videogames, but in Megaman, there are rarely grassland stages, so it's nice to see them. Quite an interesting difference.

Also, I personally Hornet Man is perhaps the coolest looking boss in the game. Not to mention his stage song ROCKS!

  • Yeah, and for some reason, everything is mechanical. Even this stage. I'd guess that the flowers and bushes aren't, but the floor definitely is. Extremely rarely do you get a stage design in a Mega Man game that's largely organic. (Sword Man's stage from Mega Man 8 was one.)

  • Great job beating hornet man! I will probably beat Plug man next after that ehm Tornado man *shrugs*

  • Tornado Man is definitely easier than Plug Man or Hornet Man. He moves and attacks slower than either of these guys.

  • great vid you have done really well i would never get that far in a megaman game ever

  • It's all about patience and perseverence. Eventually, you learn how the enemies and obstacles work and what you have to do to get by them. Of course, the difficulty is that they're rarely obvious, and you have to exploit them perfectly for all it's worth.

  • i just saw a hornet in my house lmao

  • Uh.. I hate hornets. Glad to see you won out in the end.

  • This garden is nothing compared to mine. *ugh*

  • lol your garden is more worse than flower pots with homing flowermissiles, a Killing flower clock and flying hedgetrimmers... i don't wanna know how u live than lol

  • Must be a jungle in there then...

  • yeah. i could picture that he opens his door and his couch comes running to him and gives him a hug
