=P Difference is that blues tends to be bent with the left hand dragging on the slack of the string, using dexterity instead of a tremolo. Genres are kinda silly, and playing to one genre is even sillier, even guitar work as simple as Audioslave is good to learn even for a veteran player, complex playing is hard to learn when you're new to the instrument, but once you've had your fill of 64th notes, it becomes clear that good guitar playing comes from control of the instrument AND the self.

if you change the tuning and the bridge isnt flat you've got to adjust the springs inside the guitar, its set up to say E for a reason

if you change the string gauge same thing,. you need to adjust the springs

its all trial and error the first few times but on a floyd rose put something under the bridge (I use a spoon) and than that way it prevents string breakage.. other than that good luck.

a floyd rose does just that. a bigsby isn't a whammy bar; it's a vibrato system that is ONLY used for vibrato. a floyd rose is a real whammy bar and does the drops and the peaks of the notes.

Before you adjust your truss rod, make sure that all the parts of your bridge are in good condition. I had a similar problem and discovered that the problem was with my string blocks (the little clamps you tighten to lock the strings) The string block for my high e was stripped and not locking the string sufficiently. Whenever I tuned up that string, the pitch would dip dramatically over time and bending always resulted in note death.

im going to a buy an Ibanez STM1 which has floyd rose, I use a C-G-C-F-A-D tunning and the salesman said to me that i need thicker strings(10s or 11s), and that it takes a lot of time to adjust the floyd rose, to a propper hight and my main question is how do you fix the floyd rose to a propper hight?

you go to the back and open the backplate and then if you want to drop tune with thicker strings your gonna have to tighten or loosen the springs until the tremolo system is level with the body of your guitar, then retune it and close the back up and tighten the locking nuts and thats about it, but you might wanna have a tech. guy set it up with the thick strings first because of the double trustrods.

10s or 11s? yea right try 12s. essentially u work the height by adjusting the 2 screws it pivots on up or down, then adjust the tension by using the trem claw in the cavity in the back. If you dont use drop c all the time i suggest having one guitar set up for dropped tunings and the other to standard

I think that you'll need to open the back compartment where the springs are located and remove a piece of metal that actually don't let your tremolo bar go up, only go down.

Take off your strings and slide something soft but strong under the bridge at the hight you are wanting. Put all your strings on tune it up and then using the wammy bar push down to give slack in the strings and pull the soft but strong what ever out from under the bridge and your ready to go. Oh and tune the highest and then the lowest strings then tune the next highest the next lowest and it will tune faster that way. Hit me up if you need help peace out man!

It's probably your springs in the back of the guitar. The Squiers tend to have pretty tight springs for their whammy bars. They aren't really meant for dive bombs..they're more meant for "vibrato" type sounds. Hope that helps.

I own a squier too. It won´t break, i think, but what you can do is open the plate in the back of the guitar and you see how many springs are there. If you have 3, you can take off the one that's in the middle, if you have just 2, you shouldn't take them off.

That way, the whammy bar will be softer, and you wouldn't be afraid to break teh guitar.

i bought new strings, ive tried having the bridge flush to the body, and also the stretch and tune thing to try keep the strings in tune, the problem is, i stretch and then tune and when i thing i got it, i fasten the locking nut and then test if the strings are in tune but its not they are all off wack, i tried for 30 mins still no result, bigest problem is soon as i tighten the locking nut its out of tune then i go back and same thing what am i doing wrong and what can i do?
