everyone sounds like a group of contractors in here, however, the boards were done in good taste. I do not recall the poster stating that he was selling these, just building them for some tailgate parties when they go to the games. I am pretty sure when you are with family, that little stuff, does not really matter.
cheers FoXXX23 if I get around to making some, i will video reply here.
should have traced the design on then used painters tape to trace out the design then that way when you painted you would not get under spray and bleed to the other colors then cover with thick lacker
You guys should really think about using a router and template to keep the hole shape consistent. And if you're going to use brushes, paint WITH the grain, not against.
I'd suggest buying a 6" hole saw if you plan on making anymore. Looks a lot better and only takes about 5 seconds to do. Also I've come to find that using a roller to paint instead of a brush is a lot better.
Love it. GO COLTS!!! I need to make some of these now. Although, I think I would have put down a few coats of primer first, and maybe even a few coats of clear, and then sand it with some fine-grit to make it nice and smooth. Also, I'd probably have used white and blue for the Colts boards...black isn't one of the team's colors.
nice boards i built 2 sets for less than $50.....plus 38 bucks for 16 bags......all you need is 1 4x8 sheet of 1/2 inch plywood, 7 2x4s...and a box of screws....and of coarse a jigsaw, sander, and drill.......i do like the hinges on yours....i simply rounded the end that leg that is screwed onto the 2x4....nice work
how did you make your stencil for the logos on the boxes?
