I LOVE listening to Japanese F1 announcers. I got all giddy when they reacted to the first sector times. That was an awesome video though, great to see the reactions when he went P1.
It hurts me to think of an F1 car with less than 700 horsepower. I also am hella stoked about seeing MS back for 2010. It will so fun to see how much his age might effect his driving ability. Now that he's 40, maybe someone will be able to catch him! [probably not though]
@danthemanpatrick not so bad if the car is lighter, power to weight ratio might be the same. Similar to what IndyCar is doing with their new spec in 2012, car will be lighter and have similar power to weight ratio as to when they had 900hp!
Lewis Hamilton makes at least as many mistakes as Sato did. I'm sure if he had a top car he would be winning races and would be forgiven for his occasional cock-ups. In retrospect Sato really should've been given Bourdais' seat at STR. Forget testing times, there's no substitute for qualifying and race pace.
true they can be like trulli set 1 gd lap but them can they set those laps consistently would be crazy to see sato in a mclaren but never gonna happen mclaren r too rcist
@foxtrotalphaone i totally agree with u, i think sum of the f1 drivers in f1 shouldnt be in f1 not that i dont like them its just that, many f1 drivers are better and will giv better results and an exciting f1
@toons123 I don't want to make a fuss about it, but I noticed your comment was posted about a year after mine, and yes, Lewis was pretty error free this season.
I hope takuma gets a seat in f1 this season, since the introduction of the new rules in f1 its really upto how good the driver is rather than the cars and i think takuma sato is among the best drivers in f1 so it would be great to see him in action again :D
Not really, it is clarly evident that the defuser cars (except from Red Bull) are a lot more stable and faster than the rest. However, Sato was one of the most gutsy drivers out there, he was extremely fast but was occasionally making mistakes, he was definitely great to watch.
Awesome at the chicane! People consider Sato a mad kamikaze driver, and admitedly he was a little lairy at times. But given the decent 2004 BAR, he was a great driver.

Japanese commentary is the best. I have no idea what they are saying but somehow it expresses everything perfectly.

You can really hear the difference between these engines and the 2009 engines what with the rev limiters being set at a measly 18,000 for 2009.

@danthemanpatrick
You're right. V10 engines were so much better.
In a few years we will have less than 500 hp or what? ridiculous...
But nevertheless I'm excited to see the new season next weekend !
