Of course there are leagues and leagues of incredibly influential and legendary drummers (such as Tony Williams) that haven't received the mass attention that Gadd has, but that doesn't make Gadd any less of a drummer. As a percussionist myself, I shake my head at comments like yours because I can't fathom having to choose between my top 5 drummers, and frankly it doesn't even matter.

I saw this man at the Albery Hall (London - class venue) in the 80's. In my top 5 live performers. Truely a professional when the band leaves the stage for 'lunch' and he stays and does some amazing stuff - just his mouth doing all the instruments and singing as well! Take my hat off to you.
