I have a mac in another room and currently use about 15 metres of ethernet to connects to access point hard wired.. lead travels across floor and is a disruption .Looking for a solution for a bridge that can connect in the other room that will see the access point. Wil this bridge do this?
i have a question though like i have the netgear router and it had nothing on the back that will connect to the universal adapter...... do it just automatically connect to the router or do u have to have a certain router that has the certain button
@dameon410 Does your router have a WPS button on it? (it will look like a dot with wireless signals - check video at :36. If you don't have WPS, not a problem, simply connect the Adapter to your laptop via Ethernet and USB; then launch a web browser and pair it with your network. Once paired, connect it to any deice with an Ethernet Port.
can you guys help? i dont have a WPS Router, and when i start the setup, select my router (WEP) i tells me to enter my passphrase(im guessing this is the password) i enter, i hit "Generate" (i have never seen this before) but then it wont connect! can you guys help?
@megahalolord Good question. Yes you can. Simply connect the WNCE2001 to your computer with both the Ethernet and the USB Power Cord. Then, launch a web browser and the GUI will aromatically launch. (If not, try opening and closing a couple times and it will eventually launch. Then just fallow the steps to pair your WNCE2001 to your WIFI. Just like you would pair a iPOD or IPhone or any other device to a WIFI hotspot! Have fun.
@numba1vice Okay, well let's take a step backwards then. First and foremost, you should get a wireless router so you have WiFi. Many devices can access your WiFi network, like PS3, XBOX360 Blu-Ray, or even a Desktop PC (Anything with a network/Ethernet Port). The device you bought is perfect for connecting ANY of the devices that does not have the built in "wireless" technology, i.e. requires a wire to access the Internet. Therefore the WNCE2001 plugs into the device, and provides wireless!!
@numba1vice Correct, the WNCE2001 act's as a wireless client, so it pulls your wireless signal from a wireless router, and gives whatever you connect it to, a high speed wireless connection.
I have a Panasonic 32U30D LCD Tv which is WiFi ready and have an ethernet port. which wireless adopter is suitable. i have netgear DSL router.
