I agree with everyone, that Thoroughbreds love to run and stuff, however, I think that people race their horses too young. Now, I'm not saying everyone does this, but its just a point to take into consideration.

i really dont think horse racing is right. is it good to push and push those horses for us to bet on them and for our entertainment? there kept on strict diets and they cant even be a horse! there always training and racing and in their stall and when there retired then there put up for stud fees! that sound nice?

Okay horsesrcute159 Yes you have a very good point, BUT most Thoroughbred love to Run. they were bred and born to do this, and when they don't Race, or be ridden, they get bored. Thoroughbreds Love to Race! or jump, or anything active with a person. And well actually Most Thoroughbred Stud like being put out for Studs. and usually once a Thoroughbred is too old to race they get put to a Retirement home, and get to rest and be a horse. as well as people adopt them to good homes.

yeah. i do think its ok but those are just some downsides. but they dont get to be a horse. well i dont really mean it that way. its kinda hard to put in words. :)

Horsercute159, I live less than a mile from a Racing Thoroughbred breeder. They have a nice facility, a nice barn.. etc. Those horses are nearly always out in the pasture. Except on heavily rainy days, I don't see them.

awesome. rags was so amazing. i still can't get over that she beat curlin. curlin is great, and with that huge stride, he couldn't overtake this lady. what a great filly. nice tribute!
