I love Tarja, I love Tarja's voice and in general the versions that she does live in her solo era of songs from her days with Nightwish are good, but I am just not feeling this one at all. The arrangement IS weird, it doesn't even feel like the same song. :/ I'm disappointed (especially as Passion and the Opera is one of my favorite songs).

Tarja will always be the queen.

Passion and the opera is not such a great example of her skill, Stargazers or Devil and the deep dark ocean are much harder and masterfully sang.

Not to mention her classical performances in arias from Strauss, Dvorak or Bizet.

Regarding staccatos, I think of live performances of "10-th man down", there is a heavyone there that always raises the hair on my back :)

With that said nightwish is going to the highpoint of their career, imaginearum will be a great album. Nightwish is still very much nightwish. And as a side note I'd rather have tarja out of the band than the other bandmembers.

I like her stacato but she changed the melody of the song and I hate it.... tuomas wrote a great song and why she had to changed it? I can see that in most of the nightwish songs she is trying to make them now all_about_her_voice. thats why tarja kicked out she never realized that being in a metal band she has to work as a team not like being alone.
