DON'T CHANGE THE LCD! IT IS NOT THE PROBLEM! ITS THE DISPLAY IC.. IT CAN BE REPAIRED! THE NOKIA CARE CENTERS ARE VOULCHERS! THEY SAY THE LCD IS BROKEN AND IT COSTS AROUND 2,400 PESOS! WITH A SERVICE CHARGE OF 500 PESOS. U'LL SPEND ALMOST 3THOU!! I BOUGHT MINE TO A CELFONE TIANGGE AND THEY HAVE IT REPAIRED FOR 800 PESOS FOR THE DICPLAY IC REPLACEMENT.

i had the same problem guys i fixed it up by changing the display.

i went to the nokia care but they were charging too high for this.

i went to local market bought a new display and fixed it myself and its really easy to fix one guys trust me!!!

@saad6680 @saad6680 changing the display solved that problem? the phone seems to work but only there is a blank pixeled screen as in the video exactly the same.

I´ve already bought a new display i will see if that fix it

@thecpu do not unscrew the phone.

just pick the locks of the display like : it has four unique golden clips around the display try to use a flat screw driver to pick the display up and the pick the flex cable.

but for re installation of the display go backwards.

mine had the same problem and the customer care guy told me that it is dipslay IC problem but htis is only for those cell phones which hang during booting time.

i just wish your problem resolves :)

@saad6680 well actually i tried to fix it changing the display but it didn´t solve the problem, so bad as i bought a screen for nothing it seems the problem is in the IC of the phone. I think there is a problem with some jumpers, the problem is that to fix those you need to desoldering dificult task without the equipment. Thanks althought

@saad6680 sorry for the delay, well it seems to work fine on the background...but althought when i put a ringtone from one of the melodies of my mem card it used to slow down, infact the problem of the blank screen came after a call of my friend the ringtone started to sound and became inslowmotion by secondsof play..i don´t know if i´m explaining myself right, sorry.

@thecpu the slowmotion bug of the ringtone can be fixed by installing the nokia n70 patch.. you can find the patch on the nokia n70 page on nokia website... if it don't fix the problem you can try to do an update by using the nokia software updater .. you can find it on nokia website.. hope this can help you :)

@galao91 well actually i lost all the info i´ve got in the phone because before knowing what was the problem i tried many other things, like reset the phole :-( so it wont be a problem to backup , because there is nothing to backup, the thing is how can i see what´s going on in the phone if my display is pixeled? i can´t see anything, well tomorrow i will try to install that patch, i´ll keep in touch. @galao91 well is pixeled always, wherever i turn it on , it keeps that status, recently i have been messing with the IC of the phone and now it only keeps in a blank screen, but in the background it works perfectly, i updated the phone with the sound patch but nothing still the same issue. So, i´ll have to take it to someone who can change the little contacts that make trouble with the phone.

@FSXsimulatormaster I had the same issue. I have just pushed the LCD connector cable a little bit. And it started working.

@FSXsimulatormaster u have to replace the display ic ... another n70 circuit. just see the schematic to see where the display ic is located on n70 main board .

@FSXsimulatormaster hi your problem is the IC you don't have to change your display i got it fixed for 10$ (in iraq) at max it'll cost you 30$ in america
