How can an 11 year old girl afford a sting ray bass. Thats my dream bass but im dirt poor and will never have one. This pisses me off rich kid but you sound like your picking it up pretty good
@blueridger28 - I had no guitar at that age so I borrowed my dad's. It's a cheap Johnson, not a sting ray. Three years later I play a five string which is also a Johnson. $289
She holds a beat well and doesn't make mistakes. Since she's only been playing about 6 months I have to let the simplicity of the line slide (Although, [not to brag or anything] I've only been playing bass for about 7-8 months and can play some more complex stuff than this.) Abigail needs to practice, but she has the most important thing--Rhythm and the ability to hold a beat. Just practice, practice, practice, as the saying goes. By the way, 5 stars for your potential and the cat at 1:26!
I am surprised. It actually has a nice tone to it. Anyway, nice playing. I missed that out from the first comment i made. Girl bass guitarists always get work because it is hard to find ones that can perform live. But you'll have no problems with that i am sure by time you hit gigging age.
Ur right, if I was rich, I'd have a top of the line guitar. It's a Johnson, which is a great bass guitar, but it's a cheapie. Parents realized I might have some talent and let me borrow my dad's Johnson.
ya it doesnt matter if ur rich or not. you are very talented. you rock girl and you are so tall for an eleven year old!

Great try, keep working at it... missing a few notes here and there but outstanding job for 11

she obviously plays double bass. or a standup. Otherwise to a normal bass player ta is stupidly uncomfortable ay to sit

I didn't start playing bass 'til I was 14, then gave it up 'til I was 18... I wish I'd been that good at age 11!
Only thing I can tell is "missing" is a bit of articulation in the tone, but that comes with experimentation and practice.
Keep it up!

Nice. Your eight notes were a bit off, but overall that's pretty impressive for age 11. I salute you.
