you can blame bush / cheney, but that is sort of absolving the congress that passed all of that bs legislation. again and again and again. if you think the healthcare bill isn't a tax, then i reckon you and i define tax differently. it's hardly an attack on obama. i like him. but it's a tax. no doubt.

The congress that passed all of that bs legislation again and again and again were voted out. It's 2009 now. New congress. A new day. Medicare operates with 1/10th the overhead costs of commercial healthcare. That means your premiums drop to compete. I think anyone who wants Medicare should have it or get a tax-cut for the difference if you choose a for-profit policy instead.

@thinkchip I do not like how the tax system is set up, but i do believe in taxes if they are used in the correct ways- Health care for all, Pensions for employees, education, community services - Senator Mike Gravel has a tax system that I like.

i do think that people should have the choice of whether they pay taxis or not though! how can you force anyone to do anything and call it a free country! we need to go back to all the old laws the ones that were made by and for the people! not the ones made to increase some companies profits to get a pay rise!
