  • Holy crap that is awesome!

  • watch?v=u82fxNlmRpo - learn how to load dice

  • LOL

  • great!!

  • This was really kinda boring for me who spend several hours with MotionDice Poker.

Thats until the 3D effect, then my jaw dropped. I'm not monitoring this technology closely.

  • there's a cool new Ballerina IPhone app, looks like a hologram... search the video here on youtube!

  • VERY VERY NICE!!!!! ^.^ i like it. great attention to the tiniest details, thats what i like best. The tilting function, that may be small and ingsignificant, but i my opinion its beautiful attention to the accelorometer. GREAT JOB! worth the buy!

  • Thanks for all the comments! Just to respond to a few of them, this works great on an iPod Touch as well (so you don't need an iPhone), I don't have plans to do an HTC Touch Diamond version (I barely have time to do work on one platform!), and it's only 99 cents!

  • Perfect job ! Id love to have an Iphone though... xD

Im tired of rolling a bazzilion d6 whenever I hit...

  • Perfect! absolutley PERFECT! Make one for the HTC Touch Diamond please. I cant get the Diamond Dice to work, anyone else got any cool programs for HTC Touch Diamond? :D

  • v. good.

  • Super f'ing awesome. Super f'ing awesome. Please tell me it's free!

  • That's a very slick piece of coding :) Especially the 3D + rolling. Crazy!

  • wow thats cool

  • If I get an iPhone this will be my first app.

  • very nice job

  • wow

    thats cool!

i love the way you can tilt the iphone to see the other sides of the dice, it was weird, kinda like a hologram - it looks d but isn't

  • Very inspiring! Good work!

  • this program looks AWESOME

  • Thanks for the continued comments! I just added a couple links to the description so if you want to find out more about the app, you can check there.

Also, note that this works for the iPod Touch as well in case you aren't interested in getting an iPhone.

And finally, yup, the iTunes Store is now open for submision. You just have to sign up for the Developer's Program, pay the annual fee, learn X Code and Objective C, write an application, submit it, and then get it approved.

  • This is exactly the kind of application I've wanted for the Iphone since Dicebag. Now all we need is someone to make a D&D character sheet program.

  • Excellent app Mach! That is a superb use of the iPhone's tool set!

  • WOW can anyone make apps for the istore?

  • Yeah, you just need pay $99 and have a lot of coding talent :P

  • This is extremely cool. The changing perspective according to the phone's position is genius. I would almost buy an iPhone just to be able to run this :)

  • That's really impressive. I bet you could make a great deal of money if you managed to make a standalone device for it. While I'll never buy an Iphone, I would definitely consider that.

  • This is impressive. I have my own dice app, but this blows it out of the water.

  • Great product at a great price! A few things though -- are there plans to add multiple skins for the dice, and to round the corners on the dice? Thanks so much!

  • That's really cool man, great job

  • This is the dice app i've been waiting for.

Motion X had the dice shaking mechanics, but wasnt as flexible in allowing you to select the variety of dice you want to roll.

    Purchased.

  • nice dude!

  • Thanks for the continuing words of encouragement! I do plan on adding something to remove dice below a certain threshold; just gotta figure out the right interface. Also, you can roll up to 100 dice. There's a screenshot of that on the iTunes store. And finally, updates are free! So feel free to buy it now and you'll get the update automatically when it's done.

  • Outstanding app Mach! Bravo. I am not a D&D gamer or don't even have immediate need for such an app, but I just bought it anyways to show you my support and appreciation for a perfect example of top quality iPhone app development. Furthermore, considering how expensive those multi-faceted gaming dice are, 99 cents is absurdly cheap. This app is easily worth at least $5.00 and as much as $10.00. In any case, I hope this small jewel makes you a killing.

    Again, bravo and congratulations.

    Cheers.

  • Awesome! Exactly what we've needed.

  • they need to do this on labyrinth

  • beesekerooooo

  • I just bought this. That's awesome for the stuff that I'll be doing. That's a great price as well.

  • What are the chances of the v.2 of this app having a feature of removing dice that are less than a certain value? Ex; I roll 20 d6 and I am looking for 4 or better. I roll, and "remove" anything less than a 4. This would make it handy for table-top wargamers, too. I would be buying it right now, instead of talking about it... :D

Also, how many "dice" can it realistically represent? Could you show 30 d6, for example?

  • GENIUS!!! Holy smokes, that is sheer brilliance.

  • Awesome. As a previous commenter noted, If I had an iPhone, I'd be buying this now.

  • Very well done, m'man. Excellent work. If I had an iPhone, I'd be buying that app right now.

  • Bought on the video alone. Awesome, awesome app.

  • Now just port it over to Android and it'll be perfect.

  • OMG! DUDE!!!!! That is so amazing!!!!! I mean, you really thought this thing out to every last detail. This is so MAC-like. I need to buy and iphone or touch just to have this program. You seriously rule man.

  • Thank you all for your comments! It'd be wonderful if my little app were useful for physical therapy. And I'm glad people are enjoying the 3D effect. It took a little while to get just right. As for the PSRNG (pseudo random number generator), I'm currently just using the default. But it's something I'm looking to improve.

  • This one is very good app... isn't this the first app that features dices with more than 6 sides?

  • I don't have any use for dice, I don't find them remotely interesting, but this application looks fantastic. I was just waiting until someone made a 3D view change realistically based on the accelerometers.

  • Very nice application!

I just might have to pick this one up. :)

  • effected == affected, sorry.

  • I can imagine medical use of such games to help stroke patients relearn how to control their effected hands and fingers.

  • * B O U G H T ' D *

Thanks for this awesome application. Do you have any information to share about the PRNG implementation you used? I'm curious whether it's one of the "better" algorithms or not.

  • holy crap thats effing awsome, i think i might just buy that
