Yes, in candlepin bowling you use a ball the fits in the palm(no finger holes), and the bowling pins are roughly 15 inches in height. They look like white cylinders that slightly taper at the tops and bottoms. But I just wikid [Candlepin bowling] and found out that it is a Canadian and New England thing. I was going to suggest a Boxer before you said Boxer. I hear that they are great family dogs. They are indoor dogs and need a lot of attention (love and play), so it suggested if they will be in the house by themself for long periods of time to get them a companion of some type; a cat or smaller dog.
