Must be immersed in water? What about the thief on the cross? Didn't Jesus say he would join him in paradise? I don't believe the Bible tells us that he came down from his cross, got immersed in water (baptized), then went back up to the cross and died. I believe being baptized in the verse you referenced means to die to yourself and live for Christ-Rom 6:3. Baptism is commanded and is a symbol of the decision one has made to follow Christ, but it is not a requirement for salvation-Rom. 10:13.
@alanisted yes, all that is required for heaven is a true desire to know God and repentance. Baptism is a symbol and an important one at that, but God is great and missing out on a little thing lke that won't prevent you from entering the holy of holies. =)

you miss the point of that passage. only someone who is already been filled with the holy spirit can repent as such. your passage has no bearing in your argument. The Bible also says that man flees from all things that are righteous, and that we can only do anything right through our Lord Jesus. That is a lie! God gave his Son Jesus so that we ALL can become righteous and worthy. The blood of Jesus payed for it at calvary. And we do not follow the religion Christianity but Christ himself. obeying the Lord, listening to Jesus, believing in Jesus, repenting to Jesus, and confessing Jesus as Lord.
