pretty funny that the term redneck is being used as an insult when talking about offroading. air bags are a nice option on rock crawlers. they allow control over your suspension. but i have never seen an extended cab K body get into the places i take my rig. put this same setup on a cj, samurai or other small light weight rig and you have an extremely capable rig. not that you would need air bags that could support a school bus in that case.

The purpose of which, was to gain more ground clearance when rock crawling. Some times, you need a bit more clearance. Best off road truck? It's more than 15 years old. All the new stuff sucks. Can think of 3, that don't need $50K of mods to keep up.
@Tj1056 Bags like these, work just fine. Air bags offer adjustability in ride height, when necessary. These in particular, account for the springs as well. They're easier to set up, than coilovers. What the 15 years has to do with, is the bickering about the titan. Anyone who actually wheels (not mall crawlers, or call dirt roads "off road"), would ever call a newer truck the "best". All of the "best" stuff, was made around 15-20 years ago. The new stuff is heavy, laden with plastic, and low.
@FTORC1 yo dick head there is a reason why they make off road suspension... these rubber crap is horrible for off roading... ask any real 4x4 person... they pop easy a stick or rock will go right through them... of course you will not listen as I have already stated it above... if you are going to do 4x4 then just buy a lifted suspension... or hydraulic if you really want to...

The IFS unit, does not get relocated. Instead, a new A-arm is created to gain the same effect. Or, extension pieces are not used, but new pieces redesigned to fit in stock location. No added weak points. Make sense? Lifting enough to clear larger tires, is fine. Going big gay truck land, is dumb. But, engineer something. Kits... suck.

There is a very very low chances of a full kit to break... yea maybe people like you buy your lift and don't get new sway bar links and spin your bar and break some shit like retards like you have done

You extend the brackets down, with those crossmembers. They still bend back. Bigger lever. FYI, that block will fatigue and break your main leaves. But, you're a mechanical engineer. So, I shouldn't have to explain how that happens.

@Tj1056 @chubawoodz Both you idiots, shut up. For your information, yes they make air bag kits for HARDCORE offroad crawlers. IIRC, King coilovers made some with bags built into their shocks. The purpose of which, was to gain more ground clearance when rock crawling. Some times, you need a bit more clearance. Best off road truck? It's more than 15 years old. All the new stuff sucks. Can think of 3, that don't need $50K of mods to keep up.

@Tj1056 Bags like these, work just fine. Air bags offer adjustability in ride height, when necessary. These in particular, account for the springs as well. They're easier to set up, than coilovers. What the 15 years has to do with, is the bickering about the titan. Anyone who actually wheels (not mall crawlers, or call dirt roads "off road"), would ever call a newer truck the "best". All of the "best" stuff, was made around 15-20 years ago. The new stuff is heavy, laden with plastic, and low.

@Tj1056 Hey, dumb ass. I am a real 4x4 person. I run a 4x4 club. The rubber used on those, is the same grade that they use on tractor trailer air bags. It takes a hell of a lot more than a stick to puncture those. If you get a rock in there, you have a lot more problems than just a punctured air bag. The hardcore off road specific ones, are the same thing but mounted on the top of a coilover. How about you think, before you flap off at the mouth. I've seen several rigs, running these off road.

It does not inhibit the vehicles ability to perform. Their purpose, is to increase clearance when needed. That's a huge benefit, over the set height, gay, bolt on garbage. But, then again... The white/black truck, has NO lift at all. The black Toyota, we don't have. The blue Toyota, has a custom suspension. A modified 4runner 4link, and adjusted torsion bars. Still not a kit. Gray 4runner? Stock.

We use custom made parts. No spacers, no blocks, no relocating brackets. That dense head getting in the way again? Does a camaro body on a blazer frame constitute a lift? Nope. So, F650 springs on an F150 isn't either. Just an F150 body.

@Tj1056 Custom and bolt on, are not in the same category. Bolt on, uses the oem parts and adds pieces to them. Custom, replaces the parts with a 1 piece unit. I.E. The IFS unit, does not get relocated. Instead, a new A-arm is created to gain the same effect. Or, extension pieces are not used, but new pieces redesigned to fit in stock location. No added weak points. Make sense? Lifting enough to clear larger tires, is fine. Going big gay truck land, is dumb. But, engineer something. Kits... suck.

@FTORC1 sorry but it only took me 2hr to install Lifted knuckles, front and rear crossmembers, upper strut spacers, sway-bar links, sway-bar spacer brackets, kicker bars, bump stop brackets, new coilovers, rear lifted blocks, u-bolts, brake line bracket, and e-brake relocation bracket. There is a very very low chances of a full kit to break... yea maybe people like you buy your lift and don't get new sway bar links and spin your bar and break some shit like retards like you have done

@Tj1056 You just made my point. "Spacers", "blocks", and "relocation brackets". What breaks? Those spacers, and relocation brackets. IFS truck too, numb nuts. The lower A-arm pockets are weak points. You extend the brackets down, with those crossmembers. They still bend back. Bigger lever. FYI, that block will fatigue and break your main leaves. But, you're a mechanical engineer. So, I shouldn't have to explain how that happens.
