  • WHOWWWW!!!!

  • Awsome and a very good tempo

  • Does Mr. Hession have a CD of his Handy variations?

  • @Sampiro

not currently but in the future. Thanks for asking.

  • Where the southern cross the yellow dog.

  • This is cool, but has barely anything to do with W. C. Handy's composition. The stuff in that sheet music at the beginning hardly appears here.

  • I'm glad you liked it! When I do an improvised rendition (not a duplication or arrangement) I generally remain true to the structure, harmonies and main themes of the original. From that point I inject and develop ideas and figures as the piece progresses-hopefully ending up with an interesting rendition. I leave it to others to perform note for note transcriptions from original sheet music-and more power to them!

  • I like your rendition immensely and I like the fact that you play the blues in the manner that it's supposed to be played - Improvised and changed to your own distinctive style. Classically trained 'human tape players' reliant on the sheet music need not apply! 5* from me!

  • Nice and bluesy with a deep groove, but has nothing to do with the song except incorporating the melodic hook from the chorus. And the original definitely did not have that boogie woogie line hitting you on the head.

  • That's a blowin'-away, strong piano you play. Thank you!

  • Have You Posted "Memphis Blues" Yet?

  • Yes. It has been posted.

  • Great! How About "Sweet Georgia Brown?"
