This guy hasnt proved anything in the UFC his one UFC fight against Kampmann was so close and he was totally drain from a 3 round fight. And remember Kampmann just lost a close fight to Diego Sanchez. But I guess there really is no one that stands a good match against GSP in welterweight so they are going to keep pulling people from other places.

Shields has the most deserving resume in the division. Him not being in the UFC till now doesn't change that.

@mojobrando he was a decent sized MW who made the cut to WW for the first time in years, and he did it all at once because he thought it would be as easy as it was when he was fighting regularly at WW. Kampmann is also a lot better than a lot of people give him credit for. It was a poor performance, but he's displayed many times that he's better than that. My money's on GSP winning, and that's the outcome I want, but people need to stop discrediting Shields...he's not Hardy

@broncos12405 Koscheck SHOULD have been a much more competitive match-up for GSP than he actually was. His first fight with Kos was the only time since Serra that GSP had an even somewhat competitive fight.

I'll take Sheilds @+300 all day. Dude has been stopped once in his career and it was like 10 years ago. Its been said before GSP doesn't have that fighters heart and we saw that against Serra. He will quit if he gets rocked and he will tap if Jake gets a submission in deep. Nick and Gilbert both got belts and it seems like destiny for Sheilds to win this fight.
