This song really rips off melody of 'Hotel California' - compare the chorus line to the bit in 'Hotel' that goes "then she lit up a candle, and she showed me the way". Same rhythm too. The Eagles should've claimed royalties.

If a person/song writer has been alive and had a radio around at ALL during his/her life, then it's almost inescapable to be influenced by other songs and music. It's NOT like how George Harrison ripped off The Chiffons's "He's So Fine" which WAS blatant. This example you've cited is vague at best. And I DO think Hotel California is a WAYYYY better song!
