  • if james was to go dream theater would no longer be around each member brings there own thing to the band

  • they're so sexy. it's orgasmic hahaha

    hmmmm dream theater rocks!

  • me encanta esta cancion ,, the song is very good ,,, dream t the betters

  • best song ever

  • james labrie sounds good :) and the keyboardist is kevin moore dude

  • I don't know why people think that LaBrie sounds bad in this. In my opinion, this is the best I've ever heard him. He really can't sing his old stuff as well nowadays, which is understandable.

  • He has an awesome voice for sure. He misses a note at the start and some people equate that with him not being able to sing. I think he has an incredible voice.

  • i like cheese ^^

  • wow james must had a stomach problem on this gig.

  • wow singer kills this band

  • only after the food poisoning incident

  • LaBrie actually sounds good in this

  • whoaaaa.... omg jordan rudess got hair?! ^_^

    great song...

  • Yes, Rudess used to have quite long hair, but that is not Rudess, I think it's Kevin Moore, DT's first keyboardist

  • yeah it's kevin

  • In questa è stonato come una campana...inascoltabile.

Esempio: 0:40 -043...ma tutta la canzone è cantata terribilmente...

  • wow james is great in this one

  • F@#$ing GODS!!!

  • the best keyboardist of dream was moore

  • shit no

  • This is the BAND!

    Great,great,great!

  • is great..~~

  • no, the keyboardist in this album is kevin moore,.. the first keyboardist, 2nd derek sherenian,n the last jordan rudess,..

  • Comment removed

  • Does this guy know how to party or what! lol

  • Sherinian was not the keyboardist on this album. Kevin Moore was. Thanks for the Wikipedia lesson though

  • bellissima

  • Wow, Labrie is amazing in this.

  • 5 >>> CHEERS to lakmusicman for uploading this video, , ,thanks man, ,,, .

  • James LaBrie, John Petrucci, Jordan Rudess, Mike Portnoy and John Myung are my idols, they revolutionized the definition of progressive rock/metal.

I've sand this song because I love the lyrics as well as the music arrangements and I dedicate it to all the band-members of Dream Theatre, ,, ,,The GURUS.

  • I don't think Rudess was in the band for this one :( But i couldn't agree more :)

  • best lineup

  • Incredible song but this is not score. jorden rudess was in the band when score was made they still need to get through derek :p

  • This is from the BONUS DVD of Score ;)

  • Oh yeah that's anoying, i've got the dvd as well!

  • esses caras cantam muito bem

  • his voice is so amazing in this song!!!!!!!! jizzage

  • oh shit!!

Now Im stucked at this deep wonderful lyric.

  • sono bravissi...questa è una delle loro piu belle canzoni...BRAVI!

  • Canzone stupenda,profonda e unica.... i love u..

  • Ahhh so good. I wish John played with his Ibanez more now a day though, Musicman is awesome for more of their metal stuff, but for songs like this, I just love the sound of those Ibanez pickups screaming, either way, Dream Theater kicks ass and sounds fucking amazing. Long live the whole band.

  • si sono forti specialmente questa canzone e la mia preferita,,,invece sotto se leggi qualke commento in inglese ti renti konto ke di musika nn ne kapiscono propio ,,,vi saluto ciao

  • Great song, amazing solo.

  • People tout the food poisoning incident as a catch-all for any issue they have with LaBrie's voice - but if you look, there's a video from 2006 of him performing Learning to Live absolutely perfectly, including that famous F#5. He had recovered from that by 2003, and although it can cause him problems from time to time, it's not a major source of vocal trouble for him anymore.

  • Yeah, but sadly now he is 46, his vocals are somewhat old and, well, you know, not the same voice as before...

  • I Love that song the voices good..

  • Música Muito Foda....

  • I don't like Labrie's voice. Dominicis voice sounds better because his natural sounding is much warmer and more comfortable for singing. it isnt something Labrie can change. his natural sounding just doesnt fit that good for singing.

he already made everything he can do with his voice technically.

for me the best live performance labrie ever did was on Score-DVD.

  • The best performance DT ever did was Score that was the greatest concert DVD ever. Might just be because I really love the Six Degrees part but still! Score, followed closely by Live Scenes From NY.

Anyone Else besides me wish they could just time travel back to visit those concerts? ^^

  • hell yeah, I wanna go back in time and see iron maiden too!

  • Yes. James Labrie is an awesome singer.

  • yeah ppl can knock Lebrie all they want cause he's a little flat, but if u've ever been to a DT concert, you know that they play for hours pretty much nonstop, not a 1 hour set like todays commercial bands. So if his voice is a little strained, i can completely understand. Not to mention, Petrucci's solo in this song is probably one of my all time favorite guitar solos of all time

  • the solo is one of everybody's all time favorite lol. at least mine too

  • Awesome, I have this home video and if you guys want to annoy your wife/girlfriend watch this. My ex. hated this band I have know idea why she into music but she has no taste.

  • it seems girls today don't like good music.

  • hey, there are some exceptions, OK? ;)

  • got that right.

    agree 100%

  • In my opinion, this was one excellent vocal performance by Labrie! (except, perhaps and only, by the first verse). I understand some people may find his singing not up to par with instrumental performances by the band today, but certainly NOT on this video. I believe his performance on this video really shines and eclipses the rest of the band.

  • I swear the only person in DT that their looks haven't changed, is John Myung lol, and Labrie sounds top notch, reminds me of when he used to be able to sing that high, before the food poisoning; he should have rested his vocals instead of performing

  • Is it me or does LaBrie have serious voice problems in this one? Don't get me wrong, I am totally in love with his singing, but in this particular video his voice seems ... wrong.

  • labrie had a food poisoning and it caused problems to his vocal cords

  • The food poisoning was only in 94.. He was on the awesome vocals at these days.

  • Only in the first verse.. but i'm pretty sure it's because he sang his ass off before this song.. lol...

  • Pure Excellence!

  • there's no better singer than labrie...his voice is absolutely appropriete for this genre and style. and he's got an amazing technique!

  • agree.

  • Portnoy is great, Petrucci, amazing as always is... I just cant believe they couldnt find a better singer :/

  • this band is amazing!!!! instrumentals no coments.... FUCKING SOUND!

  • You have ABSOLUTELY RIGHT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • precisa flar mas alguma coisaa !!!

JOHN PETRUCCI ... ja diz td ^^

  • The Best Band Ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • frikking best band ever.

  • dt is one of my favorites forever. insanely great band

  • Linda musica!!

    muito loka ela!!!

  • METAL FOREVER...dream theater is fucking awesome!

  • DREAM THEATER DID ROCK, ROCK & WILL ROCK!!

    And finally i find a LaBrie FAN =D ...

    RockRulez124 u're so right

  • I've long hated Labrie's vocals, but right now I'm beggining to like how he sounds in DT as a whole....

  • He really did sound amazing in the early days.

  • Because they landed a spot on the top 10?

Dude, they did this song to be a bit commercial. BL&SL has 4 songs over the 10 minute mark and the shortest song is 5 minutes long. Yeah, very commercial -.-

  • 6 songs

  • I know, but 4 of them are over the 10 minute mark.

  • Not to mention the single is 9 minutes long.

  • Sorry, i was wrong. They are very commercial. They've debuted at nr.1 on the european chart and the internet chart with BL&SL :D

  • Long live LaBrie

  • awsome music and band=D

  • Angra hasuhaushs

  • (Y)

  • im a HUGE dream theater fan, i look up to em so much, labrie is such an amazin singer, just i find he fucked this up at the begginin in all fairness

  • the only thing i dont like with DT, is the synth and that the band is not moving on stage x) (sorry for bad english, didn't know how i was going to say that :p

  • My god I love that guitar :( too bad they dont produce them anymore

  • It is a bad ass guitar!! Even though his Music man series does feel and play well I love the picasso design.......

  • this song remind me to the man in the past

  • I honestly listened to this song 20 times in a row and am not sick of it. Dream Theater is amazing and it shows. Mike Portnoy is my hero. a LOT of my friends hate this band and I don't know why. Oh well, DREAM THEATER RULES.

  • wel maybe because of the singer singing wrong sometimes, but he took lessons but still not always very clear. And maybe they can't stand it that they're so good :p

    I love DT !

  • Its different and new :) a lot of people cant take music that isnt exactly out of the book.

  • WHAT?!

he hit all the notes what the fuck are you talking about?

  • this on a tour right when James ran into some vocal problems.

  • hmm I think that was after *awake* right?

  • you're right my mistake

  • actually it was in the awake tour, 1994 , and in the second leg of the tour.. awake in Japan , similar concert was his first show with the vocal rupture.

There are thow some bootlegs on youtube of the first leg of the awake tour when he was even better than here

  • Oh my mistake. I always get Awake in Japan and Live in Tokyo confused.

  • hahaha a fucking joke right?

  • AMAZING SINGING

  • i miss you Dream!

  • they´re my heros!! love them!!

  • kevin moore = win.

  • great band ever

  • Totally Agree. 20 years from now, people will start to realize. right now, they don't have enough crowd. ):

  • I prefer this line up, the feel, the whole thing, than today's angry billion mile n hour, 'look at us' scene...

  • is it just me or Labrie is flat at 0:40? Regardless, great song by Dream Theater. Labrie was at his best in Images n' Words.

  • He was, but it's actually a rather difficult jump. Then again, the whole song is ridiculous to sing.

  • ...he's flaaaaaaat....

    good ears !

    but great, great, aniway !

  • its nearly the only moment in the whole song he's flat, though, so... yknow. ;p

  • 3:07

  • very great band one of the legendery and very talented musicians

  • they are GODS..not just awesome, more than that!!

  • I love this song <3

  • I find it one of their best.. Its not absolutely rock, well its like a 80's ballad.. in the studio version, with the saxophone.. its just so awesome! Just.. wow!! Haha! And LaBrie's voice is so great.. Lucky band to have him as singer..

  • Great song...

  • I love this song. One of the greatest. Period.

  • labrie was great

    great solo, great sound

    great song

  • all the way! Who was the keyboardist called in that song?

  • Kevin Moore

  • Kevin Moore

  • one of the best perfomance ever of labrie

  • Its so goooooooood lové dis song and

  • and what?

  • what kind of bass is it with all those strings?

  • Perfect music... The Best of Dream Theater...

  • They are pretty good i like mike portnoies drumming !!!!!!

  • That was a joke or something?

  • Muito showw!! Essa banda é um espetáculo a parte!!

  • thats wat we calllllll

    a damn heart touching

    TRACK

  • god this song makes me cry =(

  • I know it sucks !!!!

  • wow petrucci is sooo young.

  • LOL !!! yeah, and Derek Sherinian on keyboards.!!

  • wheres jordan?

  • LOL !!! It is before JR, but even "MORE BEFORE" than I thought!!! Simon23tnr points out that it is Kevin Moore!!

  • he wasnt a member of the band by that time..

  • yes he was

  • who? Labrie or Moore? both were apart of the band during I&W. Moore left after awake, Sherinian came on for ACOS, and labrie came on after WDADU. (Dominci left real fast).

  • nvrmind. ignore that comment haha

  • no, its kevin moore..

  • my favorite song in their album. I've amaze with the guitar solo!!

  • this has got to be the most amazing song ever...the solo just wow...i love it love it love it!

the whole music and everything just rule

i cant think of a word good enough to actually sum up this song...its just wow!

  • Who's the synth guy?

  • Kevin Moore, remember the name well

  • I will seek out the truth and listen to every note he ever recorded with dedication! Thanks

  • its impossible to get sick of this song.

  • I agree, I liked the sax better, but it's still such an amazing song

  • I like the album version with the sax more...

  • mike portnoy kawatag tangkong!

  • 2:38 - La Brie hadn't fucked up his voice yet in 93, hahaha.

Everytime i hear that final guitar solo kick in on that one beat after the bend... (3.09)

Its like fucking magic.. i feel like half of my head spills out of my ears and floats upwards with pure joy.

    Love it.

  • A masterpiece, you can certainly tell who their influences are. A likeness to 'Baker Street' I feel too.
