  • She got aids at 0:28 ... poor girl :'|

  • GIVE ME A PISS

  • Give me PEACE!!!! Wowww

  • Our love is stronger than death <3

  • It seems that all the comments here are based on that dreadful romantic movie version of Bram Stokers "Dracula". If any of you had taken the time to read the book you would see that this is a shambles and not a true depiction of the origional at all. "Dracula" is a Devil, a Killer and a Vampire who would kill you in an instant and the only "love" intrest he has is that of warm blood. Please read the book, stop pretending you had by describing this dirt, don`t watch this shit, this is not Stoker!

  • @GlendaCockran Thank God someone knows what they are talking about.

  • @GlendaCockran-Of course, it's not Stoker. It's something else entirely, very moving and very beautiful.

  • @GlendaCockran No, this is better than the original.

  • real love

  • damn! she didnt have to cut off his head! man i love this movie and used to watch it ALL THE TIME sadly i lost it soi forgot it (not relly XP) anyway WHY DID SHE CUT OFF HIS HEAD THATS GOING OVERBORD

  • What a beautiful scene. ♥

  • In the race of life, I would say she is ahead.

    xD

  • Francis Ford Coppola is one hell of a director!

(Apocalypse Now, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Godfather Series, Patton)

  • My fave dracula film

  • was not his fault...she was his princess stoled from him...but not God's fault...

he condemned himself for love and "crossed oceans of time to find her...." and in the end he just wanted peace...

  • *a masterpiece of tragedy, eternal love, lust, good vs. evil.......untouchable!

  • In case anyone's missed it, the pure genius is the role reversal as is clearly shown by the focus on the chapel ceiling painiting.

  • Wish that a love like this could exist now in the present...but when the modern life started...all the gentlemen and romantic men dissaperead..and now are so many boys who love only money,s*x,clubs... For many girls, marriage is only for money.. May God give us love like in the old times, medieval times and change both women and men like they were once..Winona Ryder and Gary Oldman-the best actors in the world!! <3 Dracula by Francis Ford Copolla-The best movie in the world!! <3

  • @AdinaJackson I think we are still capable of that level of commitment and love, it's just that modernism and materialism have poisoned us. Maybe a good apocalypse is in order... you know, to level the playing field... maybe not who knows?

  • "I have crossed oceans of time to find you." In my eyes this is the sexiest and most romantic film of all time..."Join me in eternal life." I love the idea of soul mates because love never dies.

  • @gemlove81 Oh yes! I remember watching this for the first time when I was fourteen and It was just so poetic and filled with heart and soul that it had me swooning like no tomorrow!

  • rhiona wider

  • DRACULA DON'T SUCK DRACULA SCRAPES AND LICKS

  • @TheIceGolem97

I think you missed the point of what i was trying to say.

  • This movie IS Twilight....well for adults and people with good taste.

  • Winona Forever !

  • @Jucatogoskate Wino Forever :)

  • @reishamajere Jajajajajajaja!

  • O my Elisabeta thank u for ur finishing work. By chopping off my head u have sanctified my soul Our love is stronger than death and I am reborn.

  • I like the original ending on the deleted scenes better to be honest. It's just like this, but at the end she's embracing Jonathan showing she loves him too. Actor-wise and if I was female yeah Gary Oldman over Keanu Reeves any day, but in terms of character it's probably better going with the guy who wasn't a bloodthirsty murdering monster who killed thousands including your friends. I never liked how Mina basically helps almost kill them. Still at least there's the BBC one for true accuracy.

  • hello dracula im love

  • this is what TRUE LOVE is all about.

  • There was no love story between Mina and Dracula in Bram Stoker's novel. The novel was about Jonathan and Mina. Their victory over the forces of evil shows that difficulties and challenges can be overcome by everybody. They are just as normal as we are. Jonathan and Mina's love story is very comforting, since they face challenges, suffer, and yet survive. Their letters display a whole range of emotions, which create a sharp contrast with Dracula's cold and distant character.

  • @44excalibur thanks for closing your statement on the other videos. however you may be into the books more than movies but i like to keep my opinion. there are people who agree with me and there are people who agree with u. but we do have one thing in common... we're not intersted in the Frank Langella version of dracula. so anyway thank u for closing your case and may there be a dracula movie that suits u

  • @44excalibur

Thx-you are very correct I want to reread Dracula sometime-when I have time during the day of course.

By the way, this version is so overrated it is not even funny; it should be called Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula. Oldman is a great actor but I just don't think he pulled the role off I am most angry at the portrayal-really betrayal is more like it- by Anthony Hopkins as Dr. Van Helsing--a real abortion-he played the Dr. not as a hero but as a psycho.

  • FUCK TWILIGHT, THIS IS A REAL VAMPIRES MOVIE!!!!

  • @1994cordobes hell yes!

  • @1994cordobes YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i hear that painting is in coppola's winery ? does anyone know if this is true or where that painting is located ?

  • This movie was supposed to show Dracula as a sympathetic character(really sympathetic) and show that even a monster like him can have a heart. But yeah, the subplot with them as lovers is a little much.

  • Okay 90 mins was a generalisation because its about the average length of a movie...

But yea I do see your point, 'Bram Stokers Dracula' should have been more faithful to the novel. But again like I said, every Director / Writer is going to put their own spin on it.

Would you have expected it to be faithful to the book if it was directed by Quentin Tarantino?

    I rest my case. lol.

  • @NeoHoshi No, but I would have expected it to be faithful to the book if it had been directed by Peter Jackson.

    I rest my case. :)

  • Both the book and the movie are masterpieces in their own right. After 113 years the original story Has never gone out of print.

No movie could ever live up to a book, squashing a novel into 90 minutes of film is near impossible.

What Coppola accomplished here was a great movie based on the original timeless fable.

Every director is going to put their own spin on any movie adaptation. The only person that could have made a true to the book adaptation, in my opinion, died 98 years ago.

  • @NeoHoshi Squashing a novel into 2 hours(not 90 minutes) may be impossible, but that only means you streamline the story down to its basic elements, not change the whole story around, misrespresent the main characters, Jonathan and MIna, and add a romantic storyline with Mina and Dracula that was unneccessary and not true to the events of the novel. The point is that if Coppola wants to put his own spin on the story, then he shouldn't put Bram Stoker's name over the title.

  • To the 13 people who gave thumbs up to the comment made by @MRredhotlava I will only say this: You stand by your 'ship no matter what, especially when that ship is the one created by the actual author of the story, and not one that Hollywood manufactured. And giving thumbs up to frat-boy profanity doesn't speak very highly of those 13 people.

  • @44excalibur make that 18 people : )

  • @MRredhotlava Given the type of people on youtube I'm not surprised. And I thought the argument between us was over. I still have history and the novel on my side, and when someone does a faithful adaptation of the novel one day then the argument is won. :)

  • @44excalibur I'm not arguing any more, you are still sayin shit about me so i simply corrected you again.

  • "Love Never Dies" amazing, and twilight twits/ ah sorry teens---this is the ONE and there can be only one (opps highlander moment)

but this is the original story- and the rumer is FFCtrying to cast for dracula, he knows its going to be a chick flick-and has 2 GQ guys and a scrawney brit, but the brit's-got something,at break, his office girls are saying "he's so hot, and he can bite my neck so FFC knows this is the guy &asks Who you talking about-Gary Oldman they say together! And he's still hot

  • @Patti51Lynn Not really. This isn't "the one" and there won't be a "one" until someone makes a version of 'Dracula' that actually gets the story right. And that means no "Mina falling in love with Dracula" nonsense, which probably has Bram Stoker turning over in his grave. The only love story in the novel is Jonathan and Mina, who remain devoted throughout and go on to have a son at the end of the story.

  • @Patti51Lynn I apoligize if I seem compulsively critical of this movie. As a long time fan of the novel I was expecting a more faithful adaptation when I first saw it and was saddened by how badly misinterpreted the story was here. I suppose I am still waiting for a faithful retelling that lives up to the book I grew up loving.

  • ok...note to myself......before I take people's comments seriously....I should pay a visit to the commenter's profile...44 excalibur you are not an Arrogant Intellectual....you are just a kid who thinks that knows everything and is always right; very clever and a bit eccentric... remarkable that you read the book 3 times though....read also about Democracy and freedom of speech! and remember...modesty is a virtue!!! vanity is a nasty sin ...it killed Mozart and others....

  • @mortishia3 Ahh, Mortisha. I'm hardly a kid. I'm older than you think I am. My comments were not fanatical or conservative, just passionate. I'm a devoted fan of the novel who hopes one day for someone to make a faithful version of the novel that doesn't butcher Jonathan and Mina's love or invent a non-existent romance between Mina and Dracula. Is that too much to ask for? Have you ever read the book? Does anyone here read? Democracy and freedom gives me the right to voice my opinion too.

  • @44excalibur just throwing it out there i have read the book one and a half times (read half of it a couple years ago, then last year restarted and read the whole thing

  • @mortishia3 And I'm sorry if my comments seemed argumentative, but I do not like it when people like @MRredhotlava attack me or throw insults at me. I have no problem with an honest debate, but the moment someone uses profanity that person is not interested in debate, only immature name calling. You won't ever see me throwing profanities at anyone. And I think having read the novel three times makes me qualified to comment on how the film ignores and desecrates the spirit of Stoker's novel.

  • Fuck Twilight, this is a real movie

  • 1:16 gross......

  • When I see movies like this or Blade, Underworld, Salem's Lot, The Lost Boys, 30 Days of Night, From Dusk Till Dawn, Interview With The Vampire and Dracula (Frank Lagella or Christopher Lee) I can't see what's so cool about Twilight. The Vampires are so much more cooler in movies like this or there are better actors in movies like the ones I mentioned. This love story in this movie makes Twiight pale in comparsion.

  • @BraunMachine05 There is no love story between Mina and Dracula in the novel! This movie is pure bullcrap. The novel is more about about Mina's love for Jonathan, and she never even meets Dracula in the novel except for one scene where he forces her to drink his blood to "mark" her. Why does Hollywood always get this story wrong?

  • They did this so well, many charming moments!!!

  • why is he so angry looking?!...i guess cause he's dying...ya..that's probley why.

  • This is the anti-thesis of 'there is much to be learned of beasts'.

  • the acting by Gary sorta reminds me of Val Kilmer in Tombstone

  • Comment removed

  • i don't get it, why did she behead him?

  • my tears =(........ LOVE ETERNITYYYY

  • Isn't it just gorgeous how in the beginning of this clip, he's all old and dammed looking, and she looks past that and still loves him.

That is amazing. We could all learn something from it.

  • @DoamnaDeCorbii You seriously touched my heart :(

  • @DoamnaDeCorbii Yeah sure.... if it was the other way around though the guy would have run off with a big titted girl ... for 'comfort' of course.

  • -cries- This is the only vampire movie that i will ever watch, and yea for me never read or seen twilight in my life... odd enough im a teenage girl xD

  • This movie did not at all get the credit it deserved when it came out. A film before its time, it was beautifully shot and very imaginative. It portrays the hypnotic sensuality of the vampire which is true to the genres allure while being placed along side a truly heart felt romantic struggle that I say parallels Romes & Juliet in its depth and integrity. But that's just me...I don't mean to be blasphemous to you Shakespeare lovers at all...believe me, I love him too...

  • I was 7 when this movie came out, needless to say it scared the shit of me. lol

  • @AliceInWonderland85 Im 10 right and when she stabbed him I Got Shit Scared

  • Could someone please tell me if this is a cello or a double bass playing t the start?? Thanks

  • Could someone please tell me if this is a cello or a double bass playing t the start?? Thanks

  • I can't believe they had the audacity to call this "Bram Stoker's Dracula," as clearly, nothing could be further from the truth. This movie was a sham - terrible...it bastardized the legacy of the book and the memory of Bram Stoker.

    Romance? Puh-lease. Typical Hollywood tripe...

  • @Delphi333 I agree. I mean, as much as Gary Oldman's performance was incredible, and the visuals were appealing to the eye, the whole thing with the love story killed the movie for me. I mean, Mina went from being an innocent victim to a cheater, as she marries Jonathon Harker and makes out with Dracula while Jon's away.

I'd love to see a Dracula movie that truly follows the book. I happen to be reading Bram Stoker's original work, and so far, it's incredible.

  • @Razor9350 on the other hand its supposed to be a Karmic reunion of the two.... after all, he (Dracula) crossed oceans of time to find her...and Jonathan didn't seem to resist the orgy....until he was scared.....let's be realistic ...would he ever refuse a hot sensual month with Bellucci and her friends for the Hopeless romantic Mina??? come on!!!!!at least the other one remained single and faithful for centuries!!!! (lol)

  • @mortishia3 I see your point there. Still, it wasn't in Stoker's original novel for Dracula and Mina to be lovers. Instead, Mina hates Dracula just like everyone else, and the only reason Dracula even bothers to turn Mina into a vampire is to avenge Lucy's demise.

  • @Razor9350 Yes exactly! It WOULD be nice to see a TRUE rendition of the novel...but we still wait for that day... Until then, we have a fantastic piece of literature instead. Glad you're loving it - well, you're probably finished by now lol! Just saw your comment today - sorry for the late response! :-P

  • @Delphi333 Actually I'm not quite finished yet -- been busy lately. But thank you for the response; the book IS a fantastic piece of literature.

  • @Delphi333 if u want to see a true rendition of dracula watch the one in 1977 or the 1970 one with christopher lee

  • @Delphi333 if u want to see a true rendition of dracula watch the one in 1977 or the 1970 one with christopher lee but this movie is great anyway

  • tis' no laughing matter WE dracules, what devil or witch was ever so great as atilla whose blooood FLOWS in these vains-hhm mm mmBLOOD is to precious a thing...in these times...-i love that part

  • Drakul is a DRAGON!! And it was a title..A knight Title.... around 1400 EU had an order ..and it was called a Dragon order..Or Drakul..and that order had only 24 members..Best and richest & knights rulers of europe... Vlad Cepes of Romania was one of them and Despot Stefan Lazarevic of Serbia was other...They fought turks arm to arm..hmmm....Bram Stoker is just a writer...thats all...With a nice imagination!!! From Ireland btw

  • well, what can I say?? This film is AWFULLY GOOD. Already watched twice and still not enough

  • Richard Roxburgh' s portrayal of Dracula in Van Helsing is epic and also the best performance as the character Dracula given by an actor in any vampire picture.

  • I sincerely hope I haven't offended anyone.

  • @sarahrulez4lyf Nope! You haven't offended anyone, you simpy told the truth about this movie being competely unfaithful to Bram Stoker's novel. Let all the sniveling 'Twilight' fans here go on an on about Mina and Dracula when true fans know that Jonathan, not Dracula, was Mina's love in the novel and that she and Jonathan lived happily ever after at the end.

  • This is NOT Bram Stoker's Dracula!.

  • Jesus.

  • one of the best movies I've ever seen :D and I'm not just sayin that coz I'm Romanian :))

  • - I've been watching this on Bravo the last few nights and had forgotten how wonderful it is.

  • Twilight is big piece of shit!

  • This movie is as big a piece of shit as Twilight. Dracula to me is HORROR not romantic love stories involving the beast and all this sensual bullshit. Whats the point in creating a book into a film and crediting Bram Stoker when you dont follow the original plot. Instead feeding on the innuendo in the novel which was not really intended and creating a sob story. Bram Stokers vision was to create a gothic horror classic in which the Dracula was an evil monster.

  • Bram Stoker made 'wampyrs' known iwhen he wrote this novel, he portrayed Dracula as an evil cold blooded monster. People these days seem to relate vampires with romance WTF?, I blame Twilight.. Everyone who has not read the novel please read it it is a great story nothing to do with love and profound emotion and romance. This movie is crap.

  • @sarahrulez4lyf -- Yaawwn.

  • @smanticus

Having said all that I have not seen this movie :)

  • @sarahrulez4lyf--I should mention that Coppola had to call it "Bram Stoker's" Dracula because someone else had bought the rights to produce a movie with the plain "Dracula" name at that time. As for the theme change: Dracula's been done as straight horror and that's totally valid, but it's also been done MANY times, to the point that Dracula was in danger of becoming a silly cliche. Coppola did something extraordinarily deep and beautiful with Dracula and made it totally new again. My two cents!

  • I see, but my gripe with this is that too often these days novels that are adapted into movies do not stay faithful to the original plot, I find it annoying reading the novel and then proceed to watch the movie in anticipation and then find the story has been changed. You point out that 'Dracula has been done as straight horror' but to my knowledge there has not been any movies which have been adapted through Bram Stoker's version, Coppola's is the only one. Plain and simple Dracula is HORROR.

  • @sarahrulez4lyf

Maybe you should actually see this movie before judging it? Its got shockloads of horror as well, you know..

  • @sarahrulez4lyf , I don't think Twilight started the "equating vampires with romance" thing.. that's been going on for awhile. Just look at Anne Rice, for instance. I mean, the connection has existed even before Rice, but she's just a popular example. I will agree though that Twilight is utterly disgusting, and that the original Dracula is fantastic.

  • @sarahrulez4lyf I'm sorry to disagree with you, but Bram Stoker's novel IS about love and romance, just not the kind depicted in this movie. The romance in the novel is between Jonathan and MIna, not her and Dracula.

  • Oh, you dont like it, but is a great movie.

    Twilight is crap

  • Most people who are into "vampires" would be scared shit less being around someone who is seriously into it. Why must the most interesting topics become feed for such trend?

  • I can't help but wonder...after she cut off his head...did she go back to her HUSBAND!? lol

  • @xzimkidx yes, on the collector's edition dvd there is an extended ending, and it has jonathan open the church doors and mina runs over to him and they hug and kiss.

  • @xzimkidx The answer to your question is -- READ THE NOVEL! Mina did not cut off Dracula's head, Jonathan did. And Mina never left Jonathan in the novel. She was devoted to him throughout the entire story. There was no love story between Mina and Dracula in the novel at all. Mina and Jonathan go on the have a son they name after Quincy Morris and live happily together. This movie is total crap!

  • This is a real vampire story, I think the writer of Twilight was based on the movie to write his book

  • I was obssess with this movie back in 1991 for two reasong; b/c of Keaunu Reeves (even though his acting wasn't all that) and b/c ppl use to say I looked like Winiona Ryder.

  • @indiesk8r1 so true I never knew he was da bad guy in Fith Element or Sirius Black or Gordon himself

  • i love this movie with a passion

  • Best, most romantic movie ever!! Truely one the best horror movies of all time!

  • @extremeaggression94 Yes I think that too there is something about the plot which one says there is that actual horror image "in a emotional type of way" and in a sync it shows you the myths that come with the legend of dracula... I think this character on its self became what is now knows as the blood and flesh of your terror not of what he really was is simply one of the best a dramatic horror film or a "Tragic romance" in Horror ever made...

  • kissing a bloody creep,

    now that's real love!

ive seen this film but i dont quite recall the detaails,

  • this guy is in so many movies.... Batman,Harry Potter,Dracula... just a few

    Batman/ Commissioner Gordon

    Harry Potter/ Sirus Black

    Dracula/ Dracula!

all VERY important characters and their all so VERY different!

    Dracula is malicious and lonely

Sirus is sarcastic, loyal and a vigilante

and Gordon is emotional, calm and law-abiding

  • @INVERTEDSHAMROCK How can you possibly call this an awful film??? simply because it does not follow the original story???? This is a masterpiece...touching and emotionally charged performances, theatrical scenes, brilliant soundtrack, excellent photography and direction!! Made in Hollywood yes, however NO ONE can deny the legendary performances by 2 amazing British actors!!! You are free to express your opinion that I think is biased by your urgent need appear as an arrogant intellectual! .

  • @mortishia3 I don't like this film either, but not because I'm an "arrogant intellectual." Yes, this movie is totally unfaithful to the novel, but my reasons for disliking it are becasue of the way it disrespects the depth of MIna and Jonathan's love for each other in the novel just for the sake of creating some contrived, cliched, 'Beauty And The Beast' romance between Dracula and Mina which NEVER happens in the novel at all! I'm waiting for someone to finally tell this story right.

  • @44excalibur I was originally here to reply with respect to your comment until I read all your fanatic comments .....you only validated my original belief......you are an Arrogant Intellectual and extremely conservative......shame....

  • This brilliant movie should be shone to all of the retarded girls out there who are fans of Twilight and such. They probably have never even heard of it, and probably wouldn't like it either, but at least their eyes would have a break from the bullshit they watch, and maybe a little baptised with a good movie! and btw why do 11 people not like this video!

  • @MRredhotlava cause they are idiots....

  • @MRredhotlava 11 people do not like this video because this movie is totally unfaithful to Bram Stoker's novel and completely disrespects Jonathan and Mina's love for each other in the novel. There is no love story between Dracula and Mina in the novel at all, and ironically, by creating one the filmakers succumbed to the same type of contrived crap you criticize 'Twilight' for in the first place. And by the way, make that 12 now.

  • @44excalibur dude it doesnt matter if the movie is unfaithful to the book..it is its own movie and calling it "bram stoker's" was because it was the first main stream drac movie to go into the little details of the book in modern day cinema. if you're not smart enough to realize that this isnt shit like twilight then stop coming to videos about this movie and picking fights that you just make a fool out of yourself with.

  • @MRredhotlava First, name calling only makes you sound immature. Second, I'll exercise my 1st amendment right to comment on any vid I choose until I find someone who can actually make argument. Third, calling it 'Bram Stoker's Dracula' is disingenuous since it completely deviates from Stoker's story. the "little details" are meaningless and taken out of context as the theme and heart of Stoker's story was lost amidst the filmakers pretenious and self-indulgent misinterpretation of the novel.

  • @44excalibur go argue with francis coppola about it. I'm sure you'll really show him. and i think i will call names and cuss all i want, i dont care if i sound "immature" its not like i want to or have any reason to impress a low-life fucktard like you : )

  • @MRredhotlava I don't have to argue with Coppola since the man hasn't made a good movie since 'Apocalypse Now'('Tucker: A Man And His Dream' was ok). A low-life what? Nice, considering you don't know who you're talking to. You're just making yourself look even more foolish with every insult and use of profanity. I don't have to swear to make an argument, which is the last resort of a whiny, ignorant, immature loser who can't even make one.

  • @44excalibur omg if you were in the same room as him i guarantee you would be scared shitless, with no comebacks as usual. at least he doesn't hide behind a computer screen like us

  • @MRredhotlava And I'd hardly be scared to be in the same room with Coppola since I'm much taller than he is and he spends most of his time these days making wine instead of movies. Just because he made mafia movies doesn't mean he IS mafia, and I figure you're teh only one who hides behind his screen.

  • @44excalibur HAHAHHAHAHAHAHA......The Godfather trilogy is JUST a mafia story...... ...awww you are sooo funny you know?? Peace x

  • @44excalibur Reading those comments mate let me tell you something....the one who uses the sentence 'you do not know who you are talking to' is someone who has nothing to present rather than narcissistic comments, judges everyone and struggles for acceptance by being hypercritical and fascist...and usually feels inferior! Sorry but you insulted people enough!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @MRredhotlava Third, this movie IS like 'Twilight' in that it pushes the "weak female falls in love with a vampire" storyline with a lame 'Beauty & The Beast' ending and ignores the stong-willed character Mina was in the novel, and how devoted she and Jonathan were to each other. The REAL love story in the book was of a young couple enduring the hardest and most frightening trial of their lives -- each faced with the possibility of losing the other, yet their love survives in the end.

  • @44excalibur This is the REAL love story of a movie that i love! Who cares if it doesn't follow the book? that doesn't make it bad!! and even if it is about falling in love with a vampire or whatever and beauty and the beast, it had great acting, it was visually stunning and had one of my favorite soundtracks ever! and this IS NOT like twilight. twilight is like this.

  • @MRredhotlava I and many others care because this movie is a bastardization of a classic novel that I love and have read 3 times(try reading for a change) and that will live on far longer than this movie. Great acting? Winona Ryder did a horrible English accent, and Keanu was just awful, as usual. Anthony Hopkins was way over the top. This movie was 'Twilight' before there was a 'Twilight.' I hope one day they make a movie that is faithful to Jonathan and Mina's story from the novel for once.

  • @44excalibur So let me get this straight- you're being a huge hypocrite, bitching about a movie made in 1992, and saying that it's beauty and beast genre is overused? well let me give you a reality check, do you not realize that almost every romance movie/book there is is about "a couple enduring the hardest trial of their lives"(as you said) now i call THAT the overused story!

  • @MRredhotlava Why don't I give you a reality check and ask you if you've actually read the novel 'Dracula'? If you're going to talk about a story being "overused" you should know what you're talking about, and since I've both seen the movie and read the book three times and you haven't, I'm better qualified to talk about it than you are. My argument is that there has NEVER been a faithful adaptation of the novel, and calling this "Bram Stoker's Dracula" is inaccurate and undeserving.

  • @44excalibur am sure if Stokers was able to see that his story inspired many producers one of which used legends like Hopkins and Oldman, created a briliant movie...now a classic...and ofcourse had a few million pounds in his wallet as profit....wouldn't object that much....

  • @44excalibur Dude, calm down! I don't like this movie very much either but you don't see me "arguing" about to every fan. Maybe you should go to a debate, in REAL life, where you don't have a day of not having a life to think of a comeback!

  • @thehappydaggerzandme Interesting how you criticize me for "arguing" but then you hurl an insult at me about "not having a life" when you have no idea who you're talking to. I have debated PLENTY in real life, and you seem to have a lot of free time on your hands to devote to the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers while you're on youtube. If no one wants an argument from me then they shouldn't try to engage me in one. And the only reason I make these comments is because I am a fan of the novel.

  • @44excalibur i like power rangers whats wrong with somone my age to like them

  • @MRredhotlava Actually, there's nothing wrong with liking Power Rangers. It's just that anyone who spends so much time favoriting them on their channel like @thehappydaggerzandme should not go around telling other people they "have no life," that's all.

  • @44excalibur maybe power rangers is their life!

  • @44excalibur I LOVE LOVE LOVETY LOVE MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS! and i highly doubt you debate in real life or your arguments would be more elaborate than "bla bla bla i dont wike dis movie cause it not like da book bitch moan bitch moan". and just for the record i like that you admired my ranger videos, but at the same time thats kind of creepy that you went through my favorites and profile haha

  • @thehappydaggerzandme It's not creepy at all. I never debate anyone without knowing something about them, and I don't begrudge anyone looking at my page because that's what you agree to when you join youtube. Facebook on the other hand, that's creepy. I debate often in real life and my comments were nowhere near as simplistic as you claimed. 500 characters doesn't leave you much room, but I think made it clear that fans of the novel deserve to see the real story told at least once on screen.

  • @44excalibur But i don't think you know anything about me..my favorites don't tell you hardly anything. its not like i'm just some obsessive power ranger fanatic. i just favorite a lot of those videos because i like the nostalgia about them, but anyway bottom line- i get that u want a movie of this book that is more faithful- try the 1977(i think) louis jordan version if u haven't already!

  • @thehappydaggerzandme Ahhh, I've heard of that version but I've never seen it. Thanks! And sorry about the Power Ranger thing.

  • @44excalibur yep!

  • at the beginning of the film, dracula kneels in front of elisabeta's body, now at the end she kneels in front of his : ' )

  • I write stories like these!!! when I read the actual story about Vlad the Temper I cried for his first wife who was Mina:[...the River princess..its so sad..this my friends is what I call Eternal Love.

  • This film is visually one of the best Dracula movies there is, but it is a strange recasting of the tale to make him the romantic hero. Dracula is supposed to be the villian.

  • @Toneytc Dracula (aka Vladimiri) was an actual hero.... a warrior serving his country and as usual was treated unfairly afterwards (Romanians get offended if one calls him a monster and ironically don't believe in vampires...to them is an actual hero...like Alexander to Greeks)....cinematography though always presented him as a charming...sensual creature of the dark....lonely and damned...with a dangerous kiss.....:)

  • @KagamiTraumend The Vampire Chronicles are amazing. :D Have you read the books?

  • scary!!!

  • coool i was in the play my school did dracula =P

  • After he died, she stole his shoes!

  • twilight my ass.

  • Twilight can suck balls....

  • Dracula is the best movie what I know

  • i always wonderd what happend to mina what did she do after that????

  • @Bblackfairy she had a child with Jonathan Harker, if I remembered correctly. The storytelling of Dracula (novel) is done in a series of journals and diaries from the point of view of the witnesses meaning, Harker, Mina, etc)

  • I didnt have enough room for it. :)

  • this movie was the best gary oldman rulez

  • Bram was inspired by a nightmare I remember. I wonder how much of Dracula resembles what he dreamt.

  • this referrece is on conker's bad fur day

  • THE BEST !!!

  • Ford Copola is a genius!!!

  • EPIC movie lol

Keanu Reeves is wooden , as always lol

But Gary Oldman is a God in everything he does
