Favoriting for Nostalgia reasons. First sega genesis, and sonic game I've ever played. I remember having a hard time playing this game when I was a kid when I wasn't that great at video games. Beaten the game a couple times, but everyone who said they played this game said that they were unable to beat it. Maybe it's just cause games were harder back then. Though they had to be hard to make it so people would play them more since the games were generally very small.

The bosses were very intimidating thanks to this track, but also because in other sonic games the "boss" would just be an obstacle at the end, whereas in this game you realise that in every level you've been bouncing around screwing up the guy's lair the whole time...

Oh man, how I loved this soundtrack.

And man... Did I meet up with a creepy as hell monster as Robotnik. This theme made his villainy stand out indefinitely by giving him one of the most threatening themes of all time. Screw the militaristic taste of the boss music from Sonic 2 and 3. This was what solidified Robotnik as a threatening villain.

Just kidding, I love the boss themes from the original platformers.. It's just that this theme in particular was frightening.
