  • Me too, I love her gentle manner of teaching.... and she is Dutch!!!! Like me!!!

    Bedankt hoor!!!

  • the preparation and the tips are very useful. I cannot manage to do the pose though. I guess, I need to practice it more. It would be handy to see the pose from other sides as well (the front and the back), I cannot figure out how the legs go exactly...

  • thanks, Esther!!

  • the tips on warming up for crow, and the modifications to lead into it are great. I am working on crow and it's only a matter of time! cheers.

  • i really like her, she has such a good energy. i can't believe i was able to do this pose!!

  • I've done headstand and arm stand. Am trying to learn crow pose next. Thanks for the tutorial =)

  • Thank you for your thoughtful teaching.

  • My wrist are very tender when I do this. I have never done it completely because of that.

    All the best!

  • Great! thanks!

  • i watch ur video every time and ur teachings so impressive. ur very clear bout instructions thank you:)

  • I love your tips! You have really helped me with this pose. Thank you!

  • Excellent video, we have lots of Swedes in Minnesota, I think she might be speaking that Swedish way.

  • Very Nice...with warm up and helpful tips for beginner ...very cool !!

    love

  • Thank you for the help with crow. Will be practicing this week! Love your videos!

  • veiinha gostosa !

    kaskaskas

  • Thank you for the prep sequence. My crow is weak but this will strengthen it for sure! You're the best! Do you have a flying crow prep too?

  • Love this pose! I find myself laughing when I fall down, but I get better each time. Thanks for the help!

  • I've been trying this pose without success so far. I'm going to attempt it with the foam brick. Thanks for the tip!

  • This girl be crazy!!! I do yoga, but I can never imagine myself doing something like this!!

  • Wow! Love the way she explains the poses... all those tips she gives make it easier to do them. Great teacher!

  • I end up being able to do this, but then i fall over in shock lol

  • LOVE this woman!!!

  • okay lol what an earth, just attempted this pose 10 times now & afterwards for some reason my abdominal muscles are spasming XD XD

  • One problem I have this trying to do this pose is that my knees are bruising my upper arms... I'm guessing this is because I don't have enough muscle in my arms to protect them?

  • aaagh...my legs slide down from the arm pits going to the elbows :'-(

  • Very useful build up to master the asana. Thanks!

  • I'm just not strong enough to do this, but i'll keep working towards it :) Thanks Esther.

  • very cool, I am going to try it..

  • Best explanation of crane/crow I have seen. :) I wish more instructors would take such a responsible and thorough approach with not-as-strong yogis.

  • Great! I have had trouble with crane but you make it look easy to do. Carefully, I will try it! Thanks

  • Thanks! I was never able to do this and now I can, thanks to your explanation.

    You are a great teacher.

  • Cool.

  • Thanks again!! Very helpfull (I guess...) to use a block, but still not easy for me to manage. Fun reading the comments as well! Big kiss!

And when is the video about quinoasalad coming??

  • Esther, thank you again for the informative and inspiring video. This will help me improve my crow so much!

@leaB86 A lot of padding is all you can really do. If you let the uncertainty hold you back, then you really won't be able to do the pose. Only through bold and brave attempts will you find success. In the past, when I fall out of this pose, I ether land on my shoulder or I tuck my head under. In any event, find a soft pillow and give it your all!

  • I can't do all this !!! I'm always afraid to fall and to hurt myself. How would you do if you fall ?

  • @leaB86 have pillows to catch you

  • Ester... You are married? =)

  • great vid challenging fun pose.

  • Ah, a block! It had not occurred to me to use a block to get a higher position on my arms. Thanks very much, I will give this a try. As always, a great explanation.

    Love the videos!

  • Love you videos Esther, it's a pleasure to watch you.

  • Thanks a lot Esther, with your instructions seems very easy for me...thanks a lot again

  • 5:00 Its very dangereous to make this position, I tried it in home and I lost 2 teeths on the floor :S

  • @XpresloX If you haven't done it before you should put a pillow or bolster in front of you for in case you do fall forward, which she mentions in her video.

  • Hi Esther. How can a person do this if they've had a wrist injury please?

  • wow, amazing!! thanks for posting this.

  • It took me more than a year of daily practice to get there! And now, after almost three years of disciplined practice I cannot sustain the pose more than three or four breaths. This one is really challenging! Thanks for posting it!!!

  • @mpgalindo it will help if you keep a picture of a chicken on the mat in front of you; while doing this pose think chicken and it will be a piece of cake

  • @tube4625 Sounds like big fun!!! Thanks.

  • @mpgalindo lol to be clear i meant picture of live chicken not the frozen one and once you get into the pose dont forget to call out koo koo roo

  • There is not a chance i can do bakasana.

Im a little frustrated cuz i can't do these kinda poses (handstand, headstand etc) and im really interested in them.

I just hope i 'll make it sometime...

  • @LITAFUN same here!!! l find these kind of poses so difficult.l practise Yoga daily and there are some poses l would never dare to do.This is one of them:(

  • @LITAFUN Why are you having troubles with them?

  • @christinephoto

    I dunno. I guess i don't have a good balance when im upside-down.

  • Impressive.

  • WOW! Thanks!

  • Hi Esther thanks for all the great videos. I have the shoulder opening moves in my daily routine now and it feels like my body is full of energy and flexibility. Please Keep posting .!!!

    Giorgos.

  • Hi Esther,

thank you for this video! Especially the exercises right before the main pose might be helpful, I'll definetely try it out. Could you do more videos like that (pre-exercises for several asanas? Especially the more difficult ones)?

Another question by the way: Do you practice daily and at what time and for how long?

    Lots of greetings from Germany,

    Ellen

Actually, right now I have a bruise on my arm, from bakasana :)
