I agree. But they actually call them Empress of Jpop. Namie was the youngest artist to be awarded the Grand Prix Award which is the same as the Grammy's Best Song Award, and she still is. Ayumi is indeed the new Empress of Jpop but she lacks in some areas. They all do have talent, but it is how the use that talent do they actually get the name Empress of Jpop. But in my mind, I still think Amuro is xDD
Since we're on the subject here. Ayumi might sell a lot of copies, but her personality and wit is nothing compared to Queen Namie. And utada is really good at singing, but she doesn't have the charisma needed to become Queen of Hip pop! She's tooo... smart for her age. Namie is charismatic, smart, witty, amazing singer, Amazing dancer and beautiful. And she's so funny!

Ayumi I wouldn't call overboard. It's just something totally different, something totally memorable.
All three have their good points. Namie the dancer, Utada the singer, and Ayumi the presenter.
