We're doing this song for All-State Girls Honor Choir this year in January.

It is truly a gorgeous piece. The words having incredible meaning, and the melodies are utterly breathtaking. The harmonies glitter and suspend themselves like drops of silver in the air.

I'm in a middle school chorus, and I have to sing the second soprano part with about 4 other seventh graders and some eighth graders. My friend is a soprano and can sing the solos fantastic, but our choir teacher is only letting an eighth grader sing it. :\

The first soloist was fine, but the others weren't as great. A choir is only as great as its weakest link for sure. The song sounded fabulous in its totality. I sang bass on this song its so crazy how being able to hear the whole choir completely changes a lot of the song. Great job!

the solos were bad because the most pretentious (if you know what I mean) and weakest choir kids ended up getting them, and they became nervous the day of the concert and messed it up

the ones that could actually sing well didn't actually audition for it, because they didn't want to sing alone for a few seconds :p

I was in this.. my director conducted that year, and we did this piece in chorus again the following year. For a middle school chorus, I think we sounded pretty good, but the solos could have been a lot better.
