No, a boxer's tail should be docked. have you ever got whipped by a boxer tail? well, it hurts. I had a half boxer and rottie. My friend summed it up. a Rotten box. LOL, but their ttail should be docked and the ears should be cropped. It just adds distinction to their appearance. They are the "clowns of the canine world." Louis is my 10th boxer and when he's gone, I will have another one, as there is no other dog like a boxer! Excellent w/kids, so cherish every minute with your canine friend!

Oh should I've been guessed, you are from US, the material world. If dog's tail should be docked, why don't you dock off your little finger because people don't need it?

My sister has a boxer, with a LONG TAIL. And it hurts when it hits me. SO WHAT???! AAAND dog's ears are non-cropped. And she's cute as hell anyway!

I bet you're also shaving the fur from the cat because it drops the hair, aren't you. Long live the countries where cropping/docking is illegal.

I share you opinion, but ours got docked because it's tail was broken twice in just 3 months, because it was less painfull for her. But for sure, I MISS THE TAIL ;)

Too right! Dogs have the right to stay as beautiful as when they were born. Tail docking is pointless, and barbaric!

@RunForTheNight According to the AKC, American Kennel Club if you didn't know, it's the standard for the breed. The tail I believe is required to be docked if you intend to show your dog in competitions, I'm not sure about the ears. However, if you are buying a dog from a private breeder it is all up to the owner if they are to get the tails and ears docked and cropped. I don't think the law should be involved on how you want to present your dog, just like they can't tell me I can't get tattoos

hhladyy...... the cord is to nourish during pregnancy and no longer needed when outside the womb. The tail is necessary for socialization and dogs are highly tuned to read the slightest body sign - removing the tail does effect this.

Cropped tails are cruel. Boxers like other breeds were created with tails. Let them stay natural!

I've seen that determined look in my boxers eyes when a ball is involved!!! However, my Dusty will not even get her toenails wet!!
