I loved portal...was one of the reasons I got into MMOs. I wish they would make it again...on a different station though. Spike maybe? As long as they didn't really touch too much of it...leave it like it was.
This makes me miss the old G4 and the old Tech TV. when the two merged about 98% of everything that made either or the other entertaining was removed. We still have Adam and Morgan, but we lost the heart and soul. Screensavers, G4TV.com and the like lost and replaced with Attack of the Show which is a pale shadow in comparison despite its own entertainment factor.
I miss old g4 because of good shows like portal and whatever that show was with the loud Italian guy and the quiet Canadian with the last name "Lucas"

I miss the old G4 from 2002 - 2003. The channel absolutely sucks balls now. They make all thier money of syndication now with 1000 episodes a day of cheaters and cops. AOTS is lame and Xplay is a little too corporate now. Seems like Clear Channel Communications took it over. :(

I could, but first I'd have to change the episodes into a DVD format or something, they're all on video, so I have to get them to DVD for upload, and I have a lot more than just Portal to sift through. But if I can find a place to upload them to that they won't be removed, then I'd make a video with links to them.

Now poor X-Play is no longer about JUST games and reviews. At least I liked the old X-Play! What were they smoking when they added interviews, the Gaming Up Date and these lame ass pro tips? Bring back old G4. Portal was so goofy and fun, I didn't care if my wife thought I was regressing/retarded. Arena rocked (especially when it was Will and Travis) and Judgement Day kept G4 afloat for about 2years there, so nice to see G4 just give them the shaft in favor of in-house X-play.
And this "new G4" didn't just ruin the old G4, it ruined TechTV entirely- wiped it off the map after shafting the gang at Screensavers, and "Call for Help."
From what I can tell, they didnt get rid of the screensavers gang, Kevin Rose split off to do Systm, and the Sarah and Brendon got married and are currently taking a trip around the world... but yeah, G4 is crap now... and its sad to see.
Well it used to be G4TechTv. During the merge we lost Blister, Call for Help, Unscrewed with Martin Sargent, Portal, and a bunch of other shows. Then they stopped the merger leaving TechTv in ruins and G4 no-longer for games... I mean the Man Show? Come on now.

And he was given a damn fine death scene that stood true to who he was. Moe was always one of my favs, along with Bloody Dove and Sunny after he went off the deep end. "Happy... Now poor X-Play is no longer about JUST games and reviews. At least I liked the old X-Play! What were they smoking when they added interviews, the Gaming Up Date and these lame ass pro tips? And mergeing Cheat with them? It's like they are trying to destroy what remains of the only channel on TV just for us video gamers 24/7! I've got no beef with Ninja Warrior, but that belongs on Spike.

Oh this show was great, Shorty was awesome. i'm glad to see some people remember portal and are showing. Also I agree, g4 changed for the worst, I think when portal was cancelled, g4 changed.

Bring back old G4. Portal was so goofy and fun, I didn't care if my wife thought I was regressing/retarded. Arena rocked (especially when it was Will and Travis) and Judgement Day kept G4 afloat for about 2years there, so nice to see G4 just give them the shaft in favor of in-house X-play.
And this "new G4" didn't just ruin the old G4, it ruined TechTV entirely- wiped it off the map after shafting the gang at Screensavers, and "Call for Help."

From what I can tell, they didnt get rid of the screensavers gang, Kevin Rose split off to do Systm, and the Sarah and Brendon got married and are currently taking a trip around the world... but yeah, G4 is crap now... and its sad to see.

Well it used to be G4TechTv. During the merge we lost Blister, Call for Help, Unscrewed with Martin Sargent, Portal, and a bunch of other shows. Then they stopped the merger leaving TechTv in ruins and G4 no-longer for games... I mean the Man Show? Come on now.

I agree with you. Portal, Judgement day, Icons, and Xplay were my favorate. Now all it is is robot battles, angsty teens, and new actors that suck at the few good shows still remaining. I miss Portal the most!

I'm on this band wagon too. It's a shame Portal didn't get a second season, I laughed, cried and learned from that show! Portal was one of those shows that entertains and educates about the online world. And who WOULDN'T wanna see Drifter in WoW?
