  • god... I should have read the comments first... destroyed my phone... DONT DO THIS

  • first try, first display crashed

  • It's a nice way to loose your original blackberry LCD. Once you loose it, it'll never come back..

  • Two weeks before you follow the steps in this video, make sure you have ordered a new LCD. It takes 2 weeks to post cheap LCD from china :P

  • @pikpikkaripik agreed because i just followed these instructions and broke my only working phone waah :'(((

  • No Lo Hagan porque lo que haran sera dañar o romper su pantalla

  • When I did this I ripped the black screen stuff off, had to order a new screen of eBay

  • Trying this ATM

  • I did everything as u said and I didnt break my lcd. It works fine but theres a black smudge at the bottom left of it. FU im gonna hav to buy a new lcd now

  • hey man !

i tried to do change the lcd on my blackberry 9000 and i destroyed it. don't do this.

  • i did this succesfully, but you have to be very, very careful, i used a stanleyknife to seperate the bezel from te screen (very carefully) and i used cleaning alcohol to remove the last bits of glue, en a lot of gentle rubbing (took me about an hour to get all the stuff from the screen), the corners are a bit of a challenge, but yes, it can be done, just take your time, and handle it like its your mothers most expensive china.

  • You guys are fucking idiots if you broke your screen. He didn't force you to take your phone apart. Get a brain.

  • i broke my lcd because of you..asshole

  • Kaaaaaammmpreeeeeeet anjriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit lcdnya jadi pecaaah

  • VRAG TI MATER MAMU JEBI BLESAVU!!!

    PEDER PROKLETI!

  • whoever posts about their broken screens apparently have no skill taking off the glue off their screens...

  • You are really and idiot i ordered new lcd from ebay because of you

  • I did it, worked fine for me.

  • I did what you have done on the video. But now I have this perfect circle on my screen where the camera lens is behind the screen. It is like a dead pixel circle on my screen! why???? How can I fix it? Do I have to change the LCD screen now? The weird thing is that it is a perfect circle. There is no way I have done it as a scratch. It is where the camera lens is and the size of the camera lens. HELP!!!

  • how to you remove the glue on the screen completely?

  • fuck you men it not working the black shit totally came of

  • @BmwM3318 same shit happened to me !

  • Worked for me, take your time and KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING. New covers(The plastic part) DOES NOT come with anything to stick it on with. Use a 3M double sided tape or A LITTLE BIT of crazy glue right above the lens and you will be fine.

  • I did it and my LCD is intact....nothing happend to mine it is working 100% no damage. Basically if you dont have the skills...don do it. !! it is easy for someone with skills...period!!!...

  • everybody here flag this Video!!!!!!!!

we need to protect black berry phones from there untimely destruction!!!

    hurry and get this video

  • Continued...

considering it costs like $30 to replace it. It's called EBAY.

Instead of taking time to show your incompetence by posting ignorant comments maybe you should of tried looking up some risks involved with performing something so delicate before you did it. It's not his responsibility to tell impatience morons who shouldn't be doing this NOT TO DO IT.

  • I'm amazed at how many people are blaming lack of capability on a NON-PROFESSIONAL video. Its common knowledge that any do-it-yourself YouTube posted is at your own risk.

My favorite comments are those saying "even if you are careful your going to break your lcd" when he clearly doesn’t break the LCD in the video.

For the people who broke theirs. Since you say your paying "$200" to replace the LCD I don't think you should be performing any do-it-yourself tasks, considering it costs like $

  • Did this and just broke my lcd, this video needs to be removed, he has caused millions of dollars of damage. Never trust U tube again!

  • GOD DAMNIT I DID EXACTLY WHAT YOU DID AND I FUCKING BROKE MY LCD SCREEN...NOW IM GONNA PAY 200 BUCKS TO GET IT REPLACED...TAKE THIS VIDEO OFF OR GET HATE DOUCHEBAG!!!

  • Changed my phone from black to purple I was going to change the screen too, until I saw this. I chickened out, but it still looks good so I'm happy :)

  • ok what i want to know is if i buy a new lcd screen will my speaker phone and phone be generally louder or is it a different problme?

  • ok what i want to know is if i buy a new lcd screen will my speaker phone and phone be generally louder or is it a different problme?

  • Thank you very much, now I have a BROKEN SCREEN as well

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, bad idea. My friend just cracked his. He was slow, patient and very, very careful, yet it still pulled the top layer of the LCD screen right off!

Once it was beyond repair we had a go at it just to see,.... NO WAY that LCD was coming off his phone. No way!

  • Guess what? I've got a DEAD LCD!! unless you wanna kill your LCD, DONT FOLLOW HIM

  • REMEMBER! MOST OF THE PHONES WON'T REACT THE SAME WAY DEPENDING ON THE GLUE ATTACHED TO YOUR PHONE AND THE HEAT THE PHONE TAKES DURING THE DAY, WILL MAKE THE LCD SCREEN GET SEALED TO THE LENS WHEN THE PHONE COOLS OFF. WHEN YOU TRY TO FORCE IT TO DIVIDE BOTH PARTS THE LCD SCREEN WILL EVENTUALLY BREAK JUST LIKE THAT.

    TRUST ME... DON'T DO IT!!!

  • EVEN THE SAME HEAT THE PHONE CREATES WILE IN USE!!!

  • DON'T DO THIS... IF YOU WANT A DIFFERENT COLORED LCD, JUST BUY THE HOLE LCD WITH THE LENS ALREADY ATTACHED. TRUST ME, IF YOU FOLLOW THE STEPS IN THIS VIDEO, YOU CAN KISS YOUR BROKEN LCD SCREEN GOOD BYE.

  • DO NOT TRY THIS... YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR LCD SCREEN!!!

BAD IDEA, BAD IDEA, BAD IDEA, BAD IDEA, BAD IDEA, BAD IDEA,

BAD IDEA, BAD IDEA, BAD IDEA, BAD IDEA, BAD IDEA, BAD IDEA,

BAD IDEA, BAD IDEA, BAD IDEA, BAD IDEA, BAD IDEA, BAD IDEA,

  • ooooooooooooooooops i have damaged mine

DON'T try it by ur self!!!

  • I just did this ! Thanks for the help. Everything went well. To those who cracked their screen and are blaming this video why he didn't give a warning? Uh...when you guys pick up a cup of coffee...do you assume its not hot? BE CAREFUL. =)

  • he just said be careful! GEEZE, ITS NOT HIS PROBLEM YOU GUYS ARE IMPATIENT..-_- good video bro!

  • FUCK YOU I BROKE MY BLACKBERRY DOING THIS

  • For those having trouble. Just be delicate and pry off all the corners of the LCD. Once apart, follow the instructions here for getting the glue off. Once I did that I had alot of thin residue left on my LCD. Aim in in some sunlight and you will see what I mean. I tried everything to get it off and found that a Microfiber towel works perfect to get it off. Nothing else needed just the cloth and light rubbing buffs it out to a shine. Now I have a clear beautiful screen.

  • sigh... didnt read the comments..now my shits broken too :(

  • u guys are dumb i just did it with the blue tool and didnt crack the lcd it called take ur time and go around all the corner dont just grab one corner and rip it off !!!! good video

  • I try doing this I broke my LCD, wouldn't recommend doing this he makes it look so easy, had to buy one on eBay :)

  • By the way, I cracked my LCD too trying this.

  • I don't recommend doing this. The LCD is very fragile. Even the force of peeling off the lens could crack the LCD screen. I recommend buying a cheap used 2nd LCD without a adhesive or a lens, and simply 'placing' your white lens over it without adhesive. It will save you a broken LCD.

  • GOD DAMMED...I just cracked mine...he didn't gave any warnings about the things that could've happened and DID happen! such as...the glue was so strong that the liquid cristal screen came off the light base...make anotherone bro, saying what could happen, because in our euforia we don't measure risks. Thank You

  • should of read comments too

    just cracked mine

  • uo sbeick aribiak

  • Search this on Ebay, Such an easier solution "SCREEN PROTECTOR STICKER WHITE FOR RIM BLACKBERRY 9000"

  • i was able to change mine without cracking, but if you're aworried about cracking the lcd, you can always just buy a coloured screen protector, which is what i did in the beginning. i got a white one and just put it on top of the black lens.

  • This tutorial is the worst shit ever! I tried it with a business card and display cracked! I can't image how to remove it without cracking! Its a super glue which makes it nearly impossible to remove it without cracking. This video should be removed from youtube!

    Thanks

  • well, yesterday i just cracked mine

  • after wipe some of it off with a clean Q-TIP and remove the PB oil with a micro clean cloth lightly! then you have to double side tape the LCD with the lens. I recommend 3M's paper brand. Sounds weird with PB and all but it worked for me, and i read the and followed the instructions right from crack berry!!

  • the only way to do it without risking it cracking is you very patiently stab in between with a business card or something harder, but that thin. and keep doin till it comes off. then remove the glue with (yes really) peanut butter. smir the peanut butter over the glue with a Q-TIP and leave it there for a bit till the glue gets stuck on the peanut butter.

  • Son of a b****h I wish I read the comments first. My lens is busted now I was super careful but these are super glued together.

  • Dont do this!!! it is not recommended! 90% of the time your screen will crack and you will need to buy a new one! unless you want to go buy a $100 LCD then go ahead! but im speaking from experience.

  • oh another thing, the glue that brings the original screen is a special kind of glue which allows you to view your screen high resolution, so you cant really use any other glue, you will have problems further down!

  • exposed lcd !! do you really want to do that with your fingers ?!?!

  • Thanks dumbass there was no sticky stuff so now my LCD is cracked thanks for fake info.

  • @HardcoreAandH you just didn't take your time and weren't careful enough when removing it ive taken mine out several times no problems

  • So you can separate the plastic from the LCD whitout beaking it ? because I bought a whithe plastic and I need to do it ...

    It does'nt damage anything ??

    Thanks for responding !

  • hey man, thx for the video it's a great tool cause my dog bites my lens, and the lcd screen is perfect, but i if u can do the video where u are putting the pieces back together will be more helpful cause im scare of do something wrong... Sry for my english

  • ok...it is broken....seeing as i now have to buy a new lcd, do you know where i can buy a pre made white one?

  • :( i took mine off, it wasnt sticky and the black layer came off and cracked, do i now need to buy a new screen?

  • hey i got the sticky off but how do i clean off the screen on the lcd so it is not smeary and blury when i put it back together? i dont wanna ruin my phone.

  • What Kind of adhesive do you use to hold it back together? Does the Aftermarket one come with any? Thanx For this vid it's been most helpful. Keep it up!!

  • theres no need to use any at all. the only reason i think it has any is for a little shock absorption. once the screws are in place, all is held in tight without adhesive. and the aftermarket kit comes without adhesive.
