  • Is the correct video posted here? The kid in this video is clearly out. It is over a year later an the runner still hasn't touched home plate.

  • Jake was clearly, plain as day, OUT! Great play by the catcher to block the plate!

  • The kid was clearly out. Any person who thinks that was a bad call never needs to attend, or sign their kid up for, sporting events in the future. Excellent call UMP.

  • From this video he looks like he does not even make it to the plate.

  • It's really rude to post something like this, headlining it "BAD BAD CALL" and trying to make the umpire, who looks like a volunteer, look bad. In fact, he got the call right. As a mother and a participant in that league you should be ashamed -- unless, of course, you have the guts to go out there and umpire.

  • lol this is a BAD BAD video angle.. one like critter said.. he is a none professional umpire (using bloon and wearing shorts) and 2 like critter said yup he called it too quick... and 3rd also agreed with lol nowhere near the base... idk what baseball game u were watching taking this video but thinking he was safe u wern't watching this one

  • first off this is an voulnteer umpire secondly he made his call to quick thirdly he made the right call. the runner never ever touch home plate.

  • hes out

  • lmfaooo perfect call it would take a complete idiot to think this was a bad call then decide to upload it onto youtube.

  • Did not matter if it was a bad call. But when te coach comes by home plate and draws in the dirt with his foot, that will get the coach ejected in any league from HS - MLB

  • I did a "freeze-frame" and, at :2, I can see the tag being applied before the runner's foot touches the plate. Consider also that the umpire is not only much closer, but he has all the elements (the ball, the base, and the foot) in plain view. Good call. Disappointing maybe, but good.

  • he was out, blocked the plate!

  • he was out, plate was blocked

  • sorry @Gwynnie42 it looks like his foot never touches the plate but I would probably say the same thing if it was my son :-)

  • From the point of view of this video, it doesn't even look like his foot gets to the plate.

  • he out!!!!

  • safe i have a game to night

  • sorry jake

  • his foot was definently under the tag.

  • he wasnt out

  • hey it was a bad call from a mothers point of view :-)

  • thanks so much for pointing that out I appreciate that, hope you enjoyed the video!!!!
