  • Great video! Thank you! from Tokyo...

  • I just watched the 1972 version from Santa Monica and this is just as good...38 years later. WOW!!!

  • That was 2010? It must be nice to be great.

  • Why wasn't I around when you first started singing?????

  • Love You!

  • Love you

  • Love You.

  • Fantastic version, two GIANTS...Eric and Steve are absolutely brilliant and masters in their own right. Send chills down my spine with their guitarwork...i am in paradise.

  • what a fantastic version! guitar orgasm!

  • Yes novaberbe on the slow version , its amazing !

  • Es increiblemente excepcional - It is incredibly exceptional

  • It's hard to believe but it seems they just keep getting better and better! I didn't think it was possible to improve perfection!

  • PURE GENIUS

  • Steve Winwood played on original Voodoo Chile recordings so I believe

  • @ZEPPELIN0071 yeah, playing Hammond on Voodoo child, the slow version, if i'm correct

  • I would love too see Hendrix play with them.

  • PERFECT!!!

  • Just perfection...simple as that.

  • i am a huge fan of eric... but i have tosay.... jst see the other version of this song in another CR fest, played by steve..... that is one of the best live versions i´ve seen in my life. this song is for steve

  • An All-Time Classic. Love it. Great performance. : )

  • THIS IS...... AN AWESOME PIECE OF MUSICAL WORK..... DANG DIGGITY DANG.

  • can't beat that with a stick

  • Sorry I missed the show at Madison Square Garden live.... but the DVD is great so I ended up not missing it really anyway... I was happy to know that they recorded the show...

  • Notice Eric is playing on Steve's guitar and Steve is on Erics Guitar Check out on you-tube Dear Mr fantasy in 1967 Santa Monica traffic live you will see a LSD Steve singing and palying this magical game

  • This is like Blind Faith, or Traffic,

    but then 2 x better!

This is shure better than ever,

I can't get enough of it

  • This is the most limp-dick performance of Dear Mr. Fantasy I've ever heard.

  • Simplesmente FODA!

  • Winwood or Clapton?? 2 of the greats

  • i think Steves voice is one of the few whose gets better with age

  • @AnonymousJelly Really?, it is less powerfull than it used to be. Not as good for me. Clapton though, gets a better voice with the age to me.

  • Oh yeah... ; )

  • Fan-flippin'tastic!

  • clapton's vibrato is magical

  • Justin Bieber disliked this video

  • well over his little head lol

  • @TheMaz64 XD

  • Notable¡¡¡¡ mejor que en Santa Monica , hace 40 años...Stevie Winwood,tremendo¡¡¡¡¡

  • Amazing. Winwood sings like he did 40 years ago, and Clapton plays guitar like he did 40 years ago.

  • I feel Steve Winwood solo has more feel than Eric's in this video!

  • The BEST

  • fantasticccccc

  • 1 person misclicked.

  • To hear the best rendition of this song search: Steve winwood - Dear mr. fantasy (Live 2003)

  • Wow, like I am a fan of drummer Steve Gadd, but his rendition of this song absolutely sucked! I guess he paid tribute to the original recording and it was lame as well in regards to the drum track. The best drummer to ever cover this song with Steve Winwood was Walfredo Reyes Jr. who absolutely wails on this track!

  • facho este se ve mejor...

  • mostri!!!!!

  • all of yall talken shit its Eric and Steve your insane to make any comments like that these are guitar gods you numb nuts

  • @TheSuperHippiemomma

    Yep, they are numb nuts!

  • thats the way to do it! play every concert like its yer last!!!

  • guitar Ego,s.but stevie is better on keybords.

  • Keyboards: Chris Stainton. ¿ y el otro, quien es ?

  • Who's the bass player please??

  • @tedybear335

    "Wee" Willie Weeks

  • @rixyoutoob Thank you!!

  • @tedybear335 . Willie Week

  • @dinbrew Thank u!

  • Best version ever. Check out 1972 Traffic to see oldy

  • blind faith when i did weed favorite song

  • eric is one of my all time heroes, but in the crossroads fest of 2007, steve played this one alone and his solo is AMAZING. At the end, the whole stadium stands up. This version is good but search the other one, that´s one of the best live acts I´ve seen

  • ♪♫♪Dear Mister Fantasy play us a tune ♪♫♪

Something to make us all happy

Do anything take us out of this gloom

    Sing a song, play guitar

    Make it snappy

You are the one who can make us all laugh

But doing that you break out in tears

Please don't be sad if it was a straight mind you had

We wouldn't have known you all these years

  • check this song in the crossroads fest.... only played by steve... it´s truly one oh the f&%/&%/n greatest solos Ipve heard in my life.

  • @hungerstriker27

    btw. it´s the 2007 fest

  • In their heyday Traffic, as a three piece, made time stand still with this song, still one of rock's most effective and brilliant solos....Clapton doesn't really stray much from Winwood's except for a few choice runs, but neither of them really burns the way Winwood did in his younger days playing the college ballrooms in the mid-West.

  • @echster Check out the Steve Winwood version at the Crossroads Guitar Festival 2007 for a solo that really shows how he can burn....

  • i love this video and song but i miss the harmonica..

  • i like most winwood guitar & Traffic

  • One word sum's this song up... CLASSIC !

As much as I hate to say it Traffic was great in their heyday, but unfortunately this is better then the original... and I know Clapton was not apart of Traffic's line-up. But just imagine if he was lol...

  • Oh my goodness, listen to that Hammond organ during Eric's solo at 2:12.

  • I remember the 1st time I heard these 2 play this song, I think Clapton just learned it b/c his solo was kinda sucky. But this one is fucking awesome, he wrecked it!!

  • Steve Winwood and Eric Clapton could be better ?

  • @Reveldor2 your right i was expecting more from this. the solo version of steve doing this is better

  • how????????????

  • Awesome...Thanks for uploading!

  • unbroken Steve, love him

  • Steve Gadd <3

  • @112341513534134 When you want the best, you hire the best..

  • @112341513534134

Steve Gadd brings more to the stage here than TWO drummers did in the 2007! Gadd's the perfect drummer for a GUITAR festival. His play is passionate and powerful but in the background where it should be - not competing for attention with the ax men.

For me, listening to this 2010 version is like feasting at a king's banquet. The 2007 version hardly rates more than eating dinner at the best of restaurants.

  • @rixyoutoob

    Yeah!

  • best song ever!!!!! two gods one stage love it :)
