@Axisarmy actually it was that way: italy was on germany and astro-hungarian empires side. they had a contract, they were allies! then the war started and italy stayed for one year neutral (against the meaning of the alliance) after that year italy declared war on their former allies germany and the austro-hungarian empire.
if you have an alliance you have the duty to help your allies, the usa wanted germany to help out in afghanistan because of the nato alliance membership.

@blonderzigeuner1 I always read and heard that after the first phase of neutrality Italy received offers from both sides to go to war on their side, and Italy chose the Allies. And anyway, even if Italy had passed the other side,in the war against the Austro-Hungarian empire won anyway.

Instead, in World War II, Italy has not betrayed anyone, he only surrendered. Obvious that the Italian soldiers (who were left without orders from our shameful kings on who to attack) saw the German soldiers begin to occupy the country and ask them (in Greece) to deliver the weapons to be deported or executed then began to fight them.
You did a good example by mentioning NATO and Afghanistan, in fact there is also a contingent of the Italian army.

@Gegerys you only won temporarily, you just countered the attacks thats all you did, besides the italian ranks were not even italian at all, they were mostly albanian troops under italian command. the main italian force was preparing for the russian front (my grandfather was an alpine soldier who fought in russia so i have solid proof).. and before you think im a call of duty kid and all that.. i dont play video games and think they're reality, you insult my country and ill insult yours

The ceremony got all screwed up. The Italian govt changed half way through the parade, so they had to stop and then start over.
