quick sotry for anyone who cares..i was in a band with my right wing christian brother..he wouldn't do this song as it was "against Jesus". He had no problem playing Satana's Black magic Woman oddly enough|!!
Even when they were falling apart The Beatles managed stunning music. This was just Paul and John, and despite their personal antipathy it is still a wonderful song..
Way to ruin The Beatles Yoko. No one should like you...your the reason they broke up. You thought you were a Beatle when you wernt even close. Thats why they all started to hate John...because of you. Words cant express how much I hate you and how other people should hate you for ruining the best band ever. -.-
@maxkerby Ringo is an extremely limited drummer. In those days, drummers weren't considered the main member that held the group together....guitarists were. Out of all the groups of that time-frame, the drumming was very simple and basic. Nothing more. Groups still needed drummers, of course, to keep some rythym going, but nowadays you almost need a superb drummer to make it anywhere mainstream.
@00792756 Actually McCartney just played maracas and snare drums in this song. Most of the percusions are played by John Lennon in the back of his acoustic and electric guitars. And obviously you have never seen ringo playing "Act Naturally". I would like to see McCartney doing that!
@TheLeolpz I know what excellent drumming is, man. Neil Peart from Rush. He's at least in the top 5 world-class drummer list. Roger Taylor from Queen is an astounding drummer! Lars Ulrich, Peter Criss, Charlie Watts, Phil Rudd, Nick Mason...all great drummers! There's many more out there.....
Of course, technically, this is a half-Beatles song:
All instruments/vocals were performed by only John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Neither George or Ringo were available that day when John had the sudden inspiration for this song.
So, in other words, this is the only genuine Lennon/McCartney recording.
But.... She killed The Beatles.

Paul's bass line was inspired by the opening riff from the Elvis song 'Dont be cruel'.
