Ok guys!! I am searching for a song by Radiohead.... its one of their older works and it doesnt have any lyrics.... it has like a sitar kinda sound... another dude told me it could be india rubber but it isnt... so if u guys have a guess just let me know... cuz Im not loosing sleep but kinda is like my daily mission.... thanks in advance...
I have posted this same comment in one other song.... thanks again
@DatGUEnvy The only old-ish Radiohead instrumental I can think of is Meeting in the Aisle, as roithekike suggested. It's off the Airbag / How Am I Driving EP, so it was probably recorded around OK Computer time. Hope that helps.
This Song is so great...Radiohead has the best rare songs and B;Sides is downright ridiculous. Been Listening to it rvry dat since I discovered it. LOVE IT!!!
Isn't it a great song? despite its simplicity, we should notice it was on their debut years , we still listen and appreciate everything in this magical peace of music
@sabotagedarkness Yes, both are great. And its the opposite with me, I've listened more to Muse. I just never wanna feel like I have to decided between the two. We can listen to both bands. So, yes, peace :D
I don't see the comparisons between Radiohead and Muse. I'm a huge fan of both bands and I just don't see it. I think they have two completely different sounds. But to each their own, right?
all their albums are brilliant and the songs that dont make it (talk show host, true love waits) are miles ahead of the mediocre output from other bands.
if i had to list my top ten favorite radiohead songs this would be in my top ten. its so beautiful and emotional and amazing. too bad very few people have heard it before, i wish they would have put it on the bends album.
Oh for the love of god, stop comparing Coldplay with Radiohead. They're 2 completely different bands, theres no point in compairing them. I happen to love both, just for different reasons.
@Spinoraptorrex I agree they sound different. If anyone had to compare to radiohead it would be Muse. They have some songs that sound just like radiohead but others are are completely different. Do you remember Stairsalior from the 90's. They are very similar as well.
is stupid to put that poor band even in the same scentence where radiohead is, i mean Thom and co. are one of the best, these days no matter wich song they record, it's gonna sound great live, that makes them real
freakin' awesome b-side. i dont wanna be a spammer, but you can download it at guvera and radiohead still gets paid by their advertisers, its win win. i like to see a good artist get the money they deserve, you know
AWESOME! Addictive , donno when can i stop listening to this, so beautiful in its mix of genres and beats.. wanna experience the same, dowload the entire album for free at DownloadMusic/./im, Remove the slashes.
@SuperOshay heyyyyyyyyyyy you know i came on youtube just to comment thumbs up if u like the solo at "spell" and its really nice to know most of the people likes that
Coldplay steals from many other bands (even Radiohead as the singer tries to sound like Thom) while Radiohead, like a real band, takes their influences and molds them into something that represents themselves to show deep meaning.
Just because they appeal to different people doesn't mean they are equally valuable to music. Radiohead is far better and those that enjoy Radiohead more have better taste in music.
Taste meaning the things they value in music are better, more intelligent values to hold.
I wouldn't say they pale in comparison, if Coldplay's message comes through some simple structure true, but the fact they can hit my G-Spot for emotion in music I was surprised. There are a handful of talented bands such as Radiohead but there are very few bands that hit the soul like Coldplay.
i'd say Radiohead stirs the soul on a much deeper level than Coldplay could ever hope to achieve. sure, love songs are Coldplay's forte, and Thom Yorke doesn't write that many love songs, but when he does, he taps into the territory that Chris simply doesn't dare to touch. and anyway, a song doesn't have to be a love song to hit the soul emotionally.
plus, Radiohead is much more interesting musically, there's just no contest.
I agree with you, lyrically and thematically Coldplay is a very different band to Radiohead.
Coldplay is a bit more on the emotional romantic side. Parachutes and a few Coldplay B-sides were a soundtrack to some of the saddest moments of my life, and I'm very grateful for that.
However, I completely agree with those people who say that Coldplay simply pales in comparison to Radiohead, in every way, shape and form. But still, I cannot bring myself to hate a band capable of writing something as touching as Easy to Please and I Bloom Blaum. I'm such a softy, I know.
Lets end this line of reasoning right here. To compare Coldplay to Radiohead is ridiculous. If you know anything about music besides listening to it then you know this to be true. Just one member of Radiohead has more talent than the entire band Coldplay. Go comment on a Colplay vid page if your love for them is so strong, please...
I don't think this song would have fitted Ok Computer, it doesnt match the theme of the album, and i guess they though it sounded too close to My Iron Lung and Bulletproof. A great song nonetheless. Could have made the Bends, easily.
Agreed. but I really miss the old Radiohead :S The only band I love like radiohead actually, is one hiting strong in some Italians radiostations not being a million dollar production has a very interesting stuff. Search SWAVE IN THE FUTURE and u will understand what I mean ;)
Yes...hmm. because we all want our favorite bands to stay where we love them the most. In this case, "HEY, RADIOHEAD, I'D REALLY REALLY LIKE IT IF YOU MADE THE SAME KIND OF RECORDS FOR 18 YEARS..." But, honestly, Thom was like 23 when he wrote this song. Now he's 40. I, IN MY OPINION, think he should be given a little leeway in the matter of choosing what he wants to write. Oh, and their latest album makes enough sense, musically and lyrically, for them to get a Grammy from it.
Radiohead evolved...with time. they wouldnt be the great musical act that they are if they had decided to make every single album sound like The Bends / OK Computer. (Oasis pretty much did that) They're great because they are willing to experiment with new elements and genres...for me, there really isnt a "best" Radiohead album.
When asked in 2001 by MTV, "How do you guys feel about the fact that bands like Travis, Coldplay, and Muse are making a career sounding exactly like your records did in 1997?", Yorke replied: "Good luck with Kid A."
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Coldplay is the Best band ever, whatever they take from other bands, as all musicians do (that's why they're called influences), they do it better. I've been to concerts for both and coldplay's got far better game than radiohead. Sorry if it hurts.
Yes, saw them both live in concert, Radiohead and Coldplay, by far Coldplay's been the best I've seen, take it from a musician not from a fan point of view. Sorry if it hurst little princess, life is a bitch, fuck it.
Talk Show Host, The Trickester, Bishop's Robes, this one, etc. etc. Fuck man. I'm pretty sure that the B-Sides from the Bends, are better than most of the actual tracks.
I got the Iron Lung single on vinyl today, from the Capitol Vault collection and it's kinda epic :P
@EMI: If you still want to cash in on Radiohead, instead of remastering their albums, release a fucking B-Sides collection.
this is my favorite radiohead b-side ever. i dont understand why it wasnt on the bends. it's definitely better than something like bones or black star, i think
OK, there's absolutely no way this is aout "Fahrenheit 451"... but, a beautiful/eerie/grating/wonderful song from Radiohead, absolutely.
of course, their lyrics are always so ambiguous and strange, I sometimes wonder if there's any concrete meaning in them at all. it's intensely emotional music, but only in the vague expansive feel of the songs.

Even if rh didn't write this about fahrenheit 451 the image of montag couldve come through subconsciously. And besides, art has a life of its own independent of the artist. If anything it's more appreciating its subjective relation to 451 than an objective.
i love this song. and wow, it really fits to fahrenheit 451, it gave me the creeps when i read the description... i bought the ep about 2 years ago but i just discovered how great it is.
emi are rereleasing nearly everything radiohead have ever breathed on (without the bands consent) so you're in luck. there are quite a few really great bsides/non album tracks this band has done in its career - talk show host, true love waits, down is the new up to name the big ones
No mate...a B-side comes with a single...every single released has a B-side...an EP is simply a collection of music which is not long enough to qualify it for a full LP (full album)
i think "non album track" would be more correct, whether you are talking about songs from singles, eps or unreleased live albums. bsides are hangovers from vinyl days. back in the day, the single track was the A side, and there were often a few extra tracks on the B side.
Beautiful, awesome, incredible, touching, original. Radiohead = genius. I can not think of any band in this world as magical as they are. They are the best, undoubtely. And they probably are not from this world.
my absolutely favourite song of radiohead, and yes i agree with you, it should have been on an album, i'd say on ok computer, for the beauty and perfection, but on the bends it would have actually fitted better

of course all the "coldplay is better" comments will get all the thumbs down on a RADIOHEAD video.
The fact is, they appeal to different people, I love both, I knew Radiohead first and longer.
Radiohead IS more original, but Coldplay WAS really good as well.
They appeal to different audiences. Radiohead is unique, ambient and almost euphoric when Coldplay is huge on the emotional aspects (especially love).
People take different things out these bands but they are different genres.

as it was recorded because they cut them songs out of the bends

i think "non album track" would be more correct, whether you are talking about songs from singles, eps or unreleased live albums. bsides are hangovers from vinyl days. back in the day, the single track was the A side, and there were often a few extra tracks on the B side.

Beautiful, awesome, incredible, touching, original. Radiohead = genius. I can not think of any band in this world as magical as they are. They are the best, undoubtely. And they probably are not from this world.

i agree with everyone, this song should of been on an album.
radiohead are coming out with a greatest hits cd, and i think this should be on it!
also, i agree with the comment that this song is under rated.

my absolutely favourite song of radiohead, and yes i agree with you, it should have been on an album, i'd say on ok computer, for the beauty and perfection, but on the bends it would have actually fitted better
