Its so good to see this video and think back on the good times we had there..my grandpa Pon ,God rest his soul, put alot of hard work into that place so it could be a fun safe place for everyone to enjoy..R.I.P Northside.
My sister and I spent all our summers there from '64-'70, So much fun...I remember a girl falling from the yellow slide. Also, Mr. Lang was my math teacher at West Muskingum. He taught me about the strength of various geometric shapes, and I could see their practical application in the swings and such at the beach. I am sorry to hear it no longer exists.
IN credible Memories!!!!!! Some of the Best Times growing up I could ever imagine. Then My Rock and Roll Band OMEN Blew The Place up on the Thursday Night Concerts WOW was that FUN!
WOW - We lived there every summer - the dances, the island, the french fries, the slides, the spray, the barrel, the rings, the diving boards...dang! I wanna go back!
Thank you so much for bringing back the memories. My husband and I always talk about the fun times at the beach to our kids and now they can actually see what the beach looked like. Thanks a bunch:)
Don't forget, Folks. Part of the DVD contains 30 minuntes of uncut footage with beach sounds for a low $14.95, which covers my mailing cost. The new ordering address is:
That is amazing to see, I almost didn't believe it! I spent so many days getting sun burned, stung by the wasps, dodging tennis balls by the wall and listening to chessy 80's music on the PA system. Damn, that makes me feel old(er). Well maybe I can go sit in LOWES flooring isle and reminisce, but I'll probably get kicked out for building a sand castle :)
As a youngster I went there nearly everyday of the summer. Until it closed. I can count on one hand how many times I ever saw the yellow slide open. I really miss that place and wish it would have been there when I was in high school

Why did this place ever close? I always wanted to go, but never got the chance. Closed before I could.
