@MrMiloha dude, some bulls are bred to buck so go screw off and live your city life, and wishing that he would have knocked the guys out??? really??? if you don't like it then don't watch it!
I got on bo's grandson this weekend at terry don west bull riding school, he is out of bo's excuse and his name is bo Jangles. He is a bad fucker! key words.......got on not rode, got on. I made 4 seconds till he turned back and he fucked me up, and he is mean as hell he hooked me over and over and over!!!
hey cowboys does anybody remember a high caliber bucking bull named big ben coors owned by the coors brewing company back in the 80s ?? i believe he went to the nfr in 87. the last time i saw lane ride was him at ada oklahoma and scored a 92 on him and was rode that night for the first time with the president of coors brewing company there to watch. if not then a bit of history for ya. godbless.
Only I just got into bullriding (watching) but I gotta say. thats one badass bull. Someone told me the face shields are around today just because of him. Only rode by six different dudes in over 130 tries.
Bodacious was ridden several times. He as rode by a few riders that were relatively unknowns. He was also ridden by Rodeo greats, Ty Murray, Jerome Davis, Tuff Hedeman, Clint Branger, Bubba Dunn, and Terry Don West. However these rides happened before Bodacious developed the studder step followed by throwing his head back. Once he devoloped this habbit he wasnt successfully ridden after that. And it wasnt long after he devoloped this move that the was retired.
6 riders for 10 rides. One hell of a bull. They had to retire him.It was just a matter of time before someone died. That bull knew what he was doin.10 times out of 135 attepmts is pretty damn good.
I live in the city. Every once in a while I run across some idiot that thinks he knows all about sports. I hate sports. But to prove a point I will ask them only one question. What is the toughest sport in America? Always, they answer, football. I chuckle and say, I thought you knew sports. You're wrong! Toughest sport in America is "RODEO"!!
at 00:57 you can see his Bucking Pattern...or whatever you wanna call it...Its Pretty Damn Tricky....Bucks once in the back than Bucks Twice in his front...:)
I remember when I was a kid and my dad was watching bull riding......Bodaciuous was no joke! I remember watching the ride at about 0:33, they said after he got to the hospital, the X-ray showed he had a broken face from his top front teeth all the way up to his forehead. It was shattered like glass. And the next rider who wore a hockey helmet, still received a broken eye socket.
Bodacious would rearrange your face bones! He was as bad as they come. Hedeman got busted up by Bodacious but at least he's one of the few that have stayed on him for 8 seconds. In my mind Hedeman got a perfect ride on Bodacious here in FL but was given a 95.
@HMOOOOD aww. why not? Bodacious is a very long name to say all the time hahaha. He always knows when he's in trouble though, cuz we call him Bo when he's not and Bodacious when he is. It's pretty funny. XD
apparently bodacious died of colon cancer not 2 long ago because his owner was fucking him in the ass for many years makes sense why he was so pissed off all the time
hey bud, bodacious is dead, and i dont think you would make the 8 second ride on him, because only 6 cowboys were able to ride bodacious for 8 seconds
oh bodacious was a smart bull...he had got in a habit of throwing his head back when the rider would sling forward he broke every bone in Tuff Hedeman's face.
Only 10 eight-second rides (by six different cowboys) were completed on this bull in 135 attempts. [1] Clint Branger, Bubba Dunn, Tuff Hedeman and Terry Don West each rode him twice. Jim Sharp and Legs Stevenson also made successful rides on Bodacious. Not undefeated Thank you But still a great bull IN YOUR FACE The Yellow Whale
he did set them up. that bull was evil lol. i saw it when i was a little kid. i also saw some dumbasses try to play cowboy with john wayne the big f-5 in his later years. the dude almost lost all of his teeth and had a collapsed lung or something like that
That bull was getting too dangerous because he had gotten the trick of pulling the guy forward and propulsing his head back up to disfigure him... not really on purpose but this was an unparable strategy
Bodacious looks like he read the cowboys manual on riding the upredictable bull. The B having a GOOD time! Bless the brave cowboys who rode him. I love watching rodeo!
Just looked him up, he has the weirdest style, what with the way he bends his front half down mid-buck to throw the rider forward and snaps his head up to fuckin smash their faces in. >:U
Bodacious was ridden a total of 6 times. Terry Don West is the only man to ride him twice. Some other guys that stuck it out were Tuff Hedemen (best and worst ride ever) and Ty Murray
Hmmm. I was playing a show a few years ago, and a guy walked in wearing a shiny belt buckle that said "Bodacious." Everyone there said that he had ridden him the distance. I didn't get to talk to the guy, though, so I don't know for sure.
uh... some history would do you guys well. i breed rodeo bulls. bodacious had a whole mess of out on him before he even bucked. he was next on the kill truck. and they retired him because guys kept turnin him out. and to hold the price up on semen sales. retire him before he weakened. he was rode quite a few times. and one of the page brothers from d&h page cattle company drew him three times in two weeks and rode him the last one. d.q. because of supposed slap. never hit him.
bodacious wasn't retired undefeated. Ty Murry rode him for the full count scored a 95. I believe 6 other riders successfully rode him also. Bodacious was retired because he got smart and was hurting riders because he'd come out of the shoot and get them off quick just like he does at :47.
that bull has the weirdest style, thats why he was so hard, you know how most will kinda fall into a pattern turn one way and do little kicks or jump high over and over but he had some weird shit goin on especially for a big ol sombitch
the yellow whale was one of the badest and greatest, but oscar should also get respect for all the offspring his put into our great sport that has made it what it is today.
bodacious was a spectacular bull. i originally saw him in the early years. his first owner was brent austin who lived in bonida idaho. i went to high school with brent. it was a pleasure to watch bodacious in action. even before he was famous. his legend lives on forever.
a girl friend of mine said she was dating a cowboy. i taught her to talk the talk. so, she could walk the walk. her boyfriend is a caboy. not a real cowboy.
Bodacious didn't retire undefeated...he was rode successfully 10 times of 135 tries by Clint Branger, Bubba Dunn, Tuff Hedeman and Terry Don West each rode him twice Jim Sharp and Legs Stevenson also made successful rides on Bodacious
are you drunk tcob has been dead for ten years he killed lane frost in 88 and died almost ten years to the day of lane. you dont watch rodeo much huh?
Bodacious was a helluva bull, but he never killed ANYONE...though he messed Tuff up pretty well. And although he was nearly impossible to ride, he WAS ridden 10 times (twice by four cowboys, and once by two others) all for 90+ points I believe. It is a shame that he was retired so early in his career; he was a great test of a cowboy's grit and ability to take some pain; however, it's understandable why he was taken out. He was a very dangerous, big bull and may have killed someone eventually...
Ur right actually the PRCA didn't want any1 2 hear about it because of all the publicity Bodacious had brought to them but they forced Sammy Andrews to retire him because of the fact of him possibly killing someone. The last ride in this video is 1 of the reasons y. I can't remember who that guy was but he was wearing a face mask and Bo still crushed BOTH of his eye sockets.
Yea, it was actually said on an OLN special about Bodacious that that was definitely the reason he was retired early. The cowboy's name that got smashed even with a face mask on was Scott Breding.
BULL SHIT!! HE DIDNT RETIRE UNDEFEATED!! TUFF RODE HIM FOR 95 pts. and Bo didnt kill nobody ur thinkin of Takin Care of Business the one that killed lane frost
how can you say that he's not an honest bucking bull when he's the greats bull to ever be put in an arena? i mean no offense or anything, but that doesn't have any logic put into it considering every bull ever put into a rodeo has to be a bucking bull
wow proves how much u no about rodeo. just cuz ppl hit heads doesnt mean hes mean and you only no takin care of buisness cuz he killed lane frost. theres more bulls then just him that are mean
It's really sad that they took him out of Bull riding so early in his career. He was making a mockery of the tough-guy crowd among 'cowboys.' It was supremely entertaining to see him in action.
Most people who rode him sustained physical or mental injuries. He did not like being ridden, and he was smart enough to have figured out a means of dealing with the annoyance.
Rest in peace, Bodacious. You were the finest riding bull in all video history.
Features unforgetable rides by the worlds greatest champions including
Ty Murray
Terry Don West
Greg Schlosser
and Tuff Heidemans history making 95 point ride on this terrifying animal.
Bodacious a legend in his oun time has now been retired for the safrty of bull riders everywhere. If you only purchase one video in a lifetime this is it!
There is only one Bodacious the Master of Disaster!
Bodacious is the BULL that was for sure. I have a VCR tape full length about this bull that I bought many years ago. It shows the rides and wrecks and let me tell you it is worth every second!!
BODACIOUS the Master of Disaster strap yourselvs in rodeo fans Bodacious the master of disaster is ready to rumble and hes taking no prisoners.
See why only seven men have ever went the distance with this 1800lb. charbany bull and why he is feared in world champions hearts.
Bo was ridden 7 times in 135 rides but 5 of the 7 rides were early in career before he learned how to really buck. On one early ride the rider was caught in the rope and dragged around the ring by Bo. Bo panicked and tried everything that he could to get the rider off. After that ride, Bo learned that he had to give it his best effort and that's when he became a terror. When Bo came into the highest rodeo level he already had the reputation of being on his way to being the best bull ever.
Outstanding analysis Meanwiddlekid. Bo was intelligent and once he matured into his prime he became dominating. I agree that he was the greatest bull in the modern era but I also heard that there were also bulls who were Bodacious before Bodacious back in the 1960s.
There will always be some that claim that things were better way back when, especially if they were there and you weren't. Was Bo really better or did TV make him better? But even though I was never what you would call a rodeo fan growing up I always liked bull riding. And when I saw Bodacious standing with his head and front legs perfectly level while his rear end was perfectly straight up in the air I knew that I had never seen anything like this before nor would I ever see it again.
The incomparable Bodacious was the reason I became a bullriding fan. He brought pure excitement and was the greatest of all time. I haven't met many like myself who follow bullriding outside the south but thanks to the late big bull bullriding will always have a fan from California. R.I.P Bodacious.
Bodacious was not put down. He was retired and ended up siring a lot of calves afterwards. He has grandsons in the PBR now. I believe he died around 1990 from heart failure.
wow this is way off he was not even in the prca til 1992 and he died of kidney failure. He died in 2000. He was only in the prca for 3 years and was a legend from his first buckout
You heard wrong. Bo was retired in his prime at the age of about 7. Unfortunately he had an infection in his hoof from a cut. The medicine he was put on caused him to have a heart attack.
Bodacious was a bad bull! But he wasn't undefeated. I've heard he was ridden six times. I've heard, eight times. I've heard, ten times. He eventually died from a hoof infection a few years back.
1900 lbs of pure muscle...every rider feared him most riders were thrown off within two seconds of the gate opening...so sick, but he wasnt undefeated
you have to be really stupid to ride on that monster.

He was a very dangerous, big bull and may have killed someone eventually...
xXRavenxTressesXx 3 years ago
Ur right actually the PRCA didn't want any1 2 hear about it because of all the publicity Bodacious had brought to them but they forced Sammy Andrews to retire him because of the fact of him possibly killing someone. The last ride in this video is 1 of the reasons y. I can't remember who that guy was but he was wearing a face mask and Bo still crushed BOTH of his eye sockets.
Anakinsconfusion 3 years ago
Yea, it was actually said on an OLN special about Bodacious that that was definitely the reason he was retired early. The cowboy's name that got smashed even with a face mask on was Scott Breding.

Very true!!! Bodacious was a hell of a bull, but Tuff rode him like a champ! GOD BLESS Lane Frost!!!!
greatwhitehunter03 3 years ago
how can you say that he's not an honest bucking bull when he's the greats bull to ever be put in an arena? i mean no offense or anything, but that doesn't have any logic put into it considering every bull ever put into a rodeo has to be a bucking bull
cowboytrav 3 years ago
Tuff Hedeman; Lane Frost's best friend rode Bodacious. He was the meanest bull that ever lived compared to Takin' Care of Business.
BlitzUltimate09 3 years ago

It's really sad that they took him out of Bull riding so early in his career. He was making a mockery of the tough-guy crowd among 'cowboys.' It was supremely entertaining to see him in action.
Most people who rode him sustained physical or mental injuries. He did not like being ridden, and he was smart enough to have figured out a means of dealing with the annoyance.
Rest in peace, Bodacious. You were the finest riding bull in all video history.

When Bo came into the highest rodeo level he already had the reputation of being on his way to being the best bull ever.
meanwiddlekid 3 years ago 2
Outstanding analysis Meanwiddlekid. Bo was intelligent and once he matured into his prime he became dominating. I agree that he was the greatest bull in the modern era but I also heard that there were also bulls who were Bodacious before Bodacious back in the 1960s.
TrashTalkinJuicers 3 years ago
There will always be some that claim that things were better way back when, especially if they were there and you weren't. Was Bo really better or did TV make him better? But even though I was never what you would call a rodeo fan growing up I always liked bull riding. And when I saw Bodacious standing with his head and front legs perfectly level while his rear end was perfectly straight up in the air I knew that I had never seen anything like this before nor would I ever see it again.
meanwiddlekid 3 years ago
The incomparable Bodacious was the reason I became a bullriding fan. He brought pure excitement and was the greatest of all time. I haven't met many like myself who follow bullriding outside the south but thanks to the late big bull bullriding will always have a fan from California. R.I.P Bodacious.

No he was not undefeated he was ridden twice.
chronykle1 3 years ago
Bodacious was not put down. He was retired and ended up siring a lot of calves afterwards. He has grandsons in the PBR now. I believe he died around 1990 from heart failure.
jayehnc 3 years ago
wow this is way off he was not even in the prca til 1992 and he died of kidney failure. He died in 2000. He was only in the prca for 3 years and was a legend from his first buckout
chronykle1 3 years ago
i heard this magnificent animal was put down due to him being too ferocious. other footage does show that bodacious had smashing faces to a science.
hotwork412 3 years ago
You heard wrong. Bo was retired in his prime at the age of about 7. Unfortunately he had an infection in his hoof from a cut. The medicine he was put on caused him to have a heart attack.
PBRFan101 3 years ago
Bodacious was a bad bull! But he wasn't undefeated. I've heard he was ridden six times. I've heard, eight times. I've heard, ten times. He eventually died from a hoof infection a few years back.

berealhealthy 3 years ago 2
Is it true that tuff Hedeman retired after his face got smashed then returned and drew the same bull again in a big show and chose not to ride it.
jasonphillipjames 3 years ago
