  • Great documentary, but it would be much better if Part #1 was there. What happened to Part #1?

  • Where is PART 1??

  • My grandfather, JUAN L. MONREAL, was a WORLD WAR II Veteran. He was a brave Filipino soldier. He survived the Death March at Bataan. He is now 95 years old. My grandfather is kinda weak already. He became the cook for the Japs because he knows how to cook but he never have forgotten his fellow soldiers who are in prison. He gives them food every night while the Japs are asleep. True hero..We will not forget his bravery and he will be a part of our country's history, forever...

  • SPANIARDS called us Filipinos as INDIO means slave..we are slave in our homeland in the eyes of the Spaniards...

  • @rommy7010 Lol that is totally irrelevant to the video.

  • @99paulmccartney YEs,, its IRRELEVANT.. I posted it coz Someone posted in favor of Spaniards over Americans regarding their occupation in the Philippines..you can see it in the lower part of this comment page..

  • Is there no part 1?

  • This was an amazing series!

  • 5:16 "...alone among the leaders of the great powers, he never thought of himself as a stratagist."

Ok, that's technically true but here's what I take issue with. Churchill thought of himself as a stratigist because he WAS a statigest. He had served with thte British army in WW1 and had been the head of the Royal Navy before WW2.

  • @BlueGlowingLight4 Gallipoli. Churchill was a far better politician than strategist. He was smarter than Montgomery, however. But then again that's like saying someone is smarter than a bowel movement.

  • @kreepeemann, I never claimed Churchill was an amazing strategist I simply pointed out that he was one. He had a military background of several years involving numerous command positions.

In those roles he was a strategist, Like I would not stop being a qualified Engineer if i changed my job later in life. In the same way his entering politics does not invalidate the fact that he was a strategist.

  • @BlueGlowingLight4 Alright, Fair enough.

  • 6:00 crazy launch

  • not really. it doesn't matter at all whatever motives, the america had at the time whether it's political or not. im a filipino, and i am grateful that they helped liberate us from japan, and besides, the U.S had granted us back our freedom. something that our former colonizers such as spain and japan would not have done "willfully". what matters most is the outcome. and that is once and for all we are free again. thanks to all those courageous men. - PROUD PINOY

  • @RONALDALLAN5 you seem to forget that even though spain colonized us for 300 years 100,000 filipinos were killed politically compared to the 400,000 killings that the americans did on the first night of their occupation.

  • hmmm...

  • it has always been america's political interest other than human life that pushed the US's to re take the philippines or they would have provide reinforcement in the first place

  • your lose japanese but thats ok poor japan
