Good, I like that you share this video, I wish success always New space creating bed system for small space living solutions, free standing, convenient
@DRAGONCLAN1000 Yes, there's safety built in to the Double Space Bed. The platform is manually moved and the counterweighted movement system is made of 100% industrial components rated at 20x the lift capacity. It's very safe!
@leonmichaelang No electricity needed! The Double Space Bed utilizes a counter-weighted movement system that alows the operator to move the bed vertically with little effort - as witnessed in our videos/.
A sofa that makes into a bed then the top bed would be great as a twin or full size for grandparents when they have their kids overnight. My mom has a yoga studio as an extra bedroom where she teaches yoga classes and she needs a way to add beds for when my kids stay over. This might work.
The Double Space Bed contains a "balanced movement system," in which it is set-up so the bed & platform weighs the same as the counter-weights. As seen in the video, there is no latch holding the bed in the raised position, which was done to keep people from using it as a storage platform. The bed is very safe!
Was wondering if the space under the sofa's mattress was able to be used as storage or if it is non opening. Plus that would be great to hang some kind of curtain and make it into a canopy bed
a very coool concept would be to implement 2 or 3 stories to the space itself, the first (underneath the floor would be for stocking, hte 2nd is for sofas, and the 3rd top one would be the actual bed...
@xtruma Most people don't have access to "under the floor". You can't just buy a doublespacebed (or any other furniture), and have it automatically pull up your carpet/tile/hardwood floor, take out the supports for your floor, install storage, put a suitable/workable flooring back in... I did see you store one pillow under the couch, and would like to see if the other side has storage as well.
In a small space, this set-up would allow you to use the sofa/storage during the day while having a comfortable bed to sleep on nightly in the same space. . . You can use any type of standard sized mattress desired - for optimal comfort and space creation.
@Quickblood1 This is perfect I think since I had to dismantle my Game Room becuase my Sister in Law is now staying with us. It'd be perfect for playing XBOX!
It looks expensive. I doubt that someone with a small living space will be able to afford this. However, it looks like a great idea/solution for a nice guest bed.
good for studio style apartments!

Looks dangerous is there any mechanism in it at all to stop the bed from squashing someone under or on the bed?

This one I really like but the desk 1 and ant other dual purpose bed like this would be perfect for cargo container homes too!
meadowind 2 years ago
The desk one makes a lotta sense but thisone kinda seems silly with all those comfy pillows that sofa is one step away from being a decent bed.
