Hey Jack, I agree with the people saying this sounds like Elliott Smith. Both you and Elliott have killer chord changes in your songs reminiscent of Beatles stuff with the vocal harmonies and all. Dude the mic that he uses the most (the gray one) is more than a thousand bucks lol.

And his monitors are really expensive too, so yeah if you want an estimate of the cost of his equipment you better be prepared to hear something like 5000 or more lol, actually more way more if you count instruments and video editing software.

Good news is, you can get a decent quality home-recording studio for under 2000. I've spent around 1500 and I still need a bunch of stuff lol.

Well, I guess 500 hundred bucks would be good to get started, or even 200 to get the basic stuff, which would be an interface, a mic, cords, and stands. A recording software usually comes with the interfaces.
