In her DC days most song were written by her. Now, she still writes songs but they never seem to get put on the final cut for the album. Instead the songs get paired down and other writers co-write parts of the song (and you know it's a kinda long process to explain but, I guess you get the idea). Also the degree of co-writing she does on each song varies (from changing a verse & the melody to changing most of the song). She DOES relate to all of her songs (listen to her ballads).
I LOVE ALICIA AND BEYONCE, and BEYONCE LOVES ALICIA and ALICIA LOVES BEYONCE. Alicia has a beautiful voice but you cannot compare B and A together its like comparing apples and oranges.
Beyonce has sasha fierce who dances and do all types of stuff on stage.

"Beyonce the most successful artist of our time?" That depends on how you define success. If you use beyonce's 10 grammy nominations to imply how great a singer she is, then you are implying she is better than Luther Vandross was, Prince, Mariah, Whitney, and ect. None of those people were nominated for ten grammies. Beyonce's popularity is high, just as madonna popularity was high. That didn't mean she was the grestest of her time. Personally, I believe alicia is "the greatest of our time."

I LOVE ALICIA AND BEYONCE, and BEYONCE LOVES ALICIA and ALICIA LOVES BEYONCE. Alicia has a beautiful voice but you cannot compare B and A together its like comparing apples and oranges.
Beyonce has sasha fierce who dances and do all types of stuff on stage.
whereas Alicia keeps it real with the piano an soulful voice.

Beyoncé defiantely is the best artist of our time!! She can dance and still keep her strong beautiful voice!! How many artits of today can do that? How many artists of today can really sing?

"Beyonce the most successful artist of our time?" That depends on how you define success. If you use beyonce's 10 grammy nominations to imply how great a singer she is, then you are implying she is better than Luther Vandross was, Prince, Mariah, Whitney, and ect. None of those people were nominated for ten grammies. Beyonce's popularity is high, just as madonna popularity was high. That didn't mean she was the grestest of her time. Personally, I believe alicia is "the greatest of our time."

As much as I like Alicia's music, I would never compare to people of that statue. There is simply no one around on the level of those greats, not even Mariah Carey or Celine dione, the truly great voices of this era. I think beyonce is the most popular now, but there are so many other people whose music I like better- leona lewis, neyo, alicia, and even a country singer like carrie underwood. There music has meaning to me, stuff I will listen to years from hear. I feel basicly nothing when i listen to beyonce's music. Others say the same. But everyone has a preference.

It depends on what you call a hit, my friend. Alicia songs will be played 20 years from here- especially song like "falling." Alicia's stuff is just more meaningful to me. But we are all entitled to an opinion. Again, my definition of a real hit is different from people today call a hit. Hits in the past were songs that stayed around for decades. Songs now stay around a couple of months, and then people no longer play them. Alicia stuff is different.
