Hey I just got this set brand new for 25$ at a flee marketI thinks its a H-set??.I guess its a good deal..This is my second airbrush.I had a Testors one with different tips.I have no idea on how to airbrush or mix paints..I will try to learn what I can do and how to do it from you tube..
this brush is so simple and the needle sizes are for thicker -thinner paints. You can take the biggest size needle and match it with the smallest tip and have a big opening for latex paints but the smaller tip condenses the air flow down to give you more detail.I love this gun for masks and big area work but not detail work
It's a good basic airbrush and more durable than double action. The video may not be the best, but it reflects some of the trials many have faced in our first days of airbrushing. Thanks for the video and thanks to all for comments.
LOL! I have been tearing my hair out for two days trying to get it apart... mine was given to me just to get me started and I had no instructions. so... THANKS!
wow. that one piece on the back that you have to remove to get the needle out... i thought it was all one piece and could not for the life of me get the thing clean.
@peregrineprime76 Hey many thanks! You are very right! My apologies, I was still a noobie when I was making this video so I probably neglected more than that. I hope to make another tutorial later down the road covering the other things I forgot. Thanks for telling me!
@AnnaEmert Oh thank you very much! I'll go accept it right away. Sorry I haven't been on for awhile, I'll switch the video response accepter to automatic so it doesn't take such a long time. Appreciate the response!
Thanks so much for the video. I got the brush recently and you are so right about how crappy the instructions are. I heard someone on another video suggest Windex to clean these parts when using acrylics. Maybe that would work with latex? Don't know but appreciate your video. Was not at all a bad instructional video like you keep saying.
Glad I could help! Ah I have tried Windex, it does work quite well! Haha, thanks for the kind words! I guess I'm beating myself up because I later found out that I had a macro option on the camera. Doh! Ah well, live and learn right? Thanks again!
@ShadowMakerOfMasks Oh yeah I am going to do a response video about what I learned about the compressor. I am sure it will be considered a dumb girl did not know about compressors thing but women that don't normally work with compressors (or guys) I think will appreciate what I have learned so far. Be looking for it. Oh yes, and I like your art very much too.
Oh very cool! I do look forward to seeing it! Haha I don't think you will, smalls tips are always appreciated! Especially when they can't be found elsewhere!
The hose? There should be one hose for the compressor, and one hose for the airbrush. There are 3 different sized screws for the airbrush hose for compatibility. If you're talking about needles, then you may need to buy some new ones. Unless they're clogged. If they're clogged, I'd soak them in a solvent of some kind. SwoopdySwoop recommends "hoppes #9 gun cleaner." Hope this helps!
Glad I could help! I was hoping to make a better tutorial with some more clarity, but I just haven't been able to get to it haha. Hopefully It'll be soon.
Thank you so effing much!!....the instructions that came with the airbrush are crap. A child could've written and drawn a better diagram. Without this guide I would've been stuck running cleaner through it and that doesn't get enough of the gunk out.
I thought I was forcing parts and I was really worried about breaking a part but this vid showed it was just painted on and not meant to stick.
Anytime man! haha! Yeah, I whole heartily agree with you there dude. It was pretty ridiculous. I'm surprised that there aren't that many tutorials on it either! Hopefully I'll make a better one down the road, seemed as though I did in fact ramble haha! Hey well I'm glad I could help you man! Have a good one!
Wow..you ever think about actually taking your head out of your butt before making a video for others to see?? Try actually reviewing what your going to say first.........kind of like a dumb chick trying to explain physcics.
Kind of ironic that you're calling me dumb when you spelt "Physics" wrong haha. Well, I must say, you do have a point. I tend to ramble and if I thought this video was going to be as popular as it was, I would have made a better video. Hopefully, I'll replace this one sooner or later. I realize that it wasn't incredibly helpful. Sorry about that dude!
Why don´t you just remove completely the bottom screw on the ball-shaped suport?, it´s just easier and quicker to unload the cone and the needle, I never had any problem doing that. Keep making videos, there are almost no videos for the H model, so, good job, have a nice day!
You may have something clogged in either the needle, or the cone shaped needle. You may want to soak them both in solvents and clean the chunks out with a wooden tooth pick. If I didn't address the problem, please tell me what it is so I can sort out the problem.
As it is fairly easy to take the airbrush apart, it is not recommended that you use latex paint. It will ultimately ruin all of your needles. I recommend inks. They run through the airbrush smoother and they don't clog it up, halfway through the base coat haha! I'd look into inks. There is some component that people add to them to make them stick to the mask. What it is, escapes my mind at the moment. Hope I helped!

Acetone should clean it up. I would recommend to do it in a ventilated area.

Can anyone give any insight into what reasons you'd use different sized aircaps and needles? Is it for thicker or thinner paint?

You forgot the important step of loosening the retaining allen screw on the bottom of the "ball thingy."
