  • "That's my!, That's my! That's my, That's my, That's my team!"

  • I ask this question way to often

  • 20 people don't know their scene

  • Surf music from the eighties. Love it.

  • and another thing, am I crazy to believe in ideals?........

  • @dennmann99 Hoodoo Gurus are such an aussie institution, we had some of the most iconic music in the Countdown days, you are not crazy!

  • 19 People are yet to find there scene!!!

  • i wish they got bigger in the usa. we suck cock and dont swallow.

  • @ArchangelMichaelArch wow....they dont swallow.....ROFL eheh soz im suer they will get bigger :D

  • Brings back memories.

  • Obviouly they enjoyed wearing the costumes but, what I LOVE is how wack and terrible their street clothes are! Check tht camel colored suit. It's totally great when people are utterly fashion-impared. Sort of inspires a kind of affection.

  • Mate Thank you so mutch

  • A friend of mine gave me Stoneage Romeos while i was stationed on the DMZ in Korea. A year later, on heavy doses of acid, i was listening to this album at Ft. Hood, Texas. It saved my life, because the army fucking sucked! God bless the Gurus!

  • @prussell66

    That rules!

  • @prussell66 I love that album. My parents bought it the year I was born because the Kamicazi Pilot song was featured in a surfing video they liked. I have been hearing it all my life.

  • @HowToBehaveInPublic Your parents obviously have excellent taste!

  • @prussell66 A gift to you from your Australian cousins - glad to know we could help

  • @pseudworld Cheers to you and may you have the best of days!

  • @prussell66 A gift to you from your Australian cousins - good to know we could help

  • Best band ever. Don't argue. I will have to doom you.

  • Hoodoo Gurus are gonna be at Parramatta Park, Sydney Australia this Australia Day. free concert, come along if you're around

  • Brilliant live band. I saw them in 1985 and 1989 in Liverpool UK. I remember them doing a great version of Galveston for the encore.

  • Gonna go see them on Australia Day ! (:

  • It is certainly fun learning how to play instant classics on the guitar but learning to play What's my Scene, was beyond awesome!

  • I don"t know what happened... but these guys should have been on top for years!!! I saw them several times while growing up, including a time in Montreal at club soda when the Bangles opened up for them.!!!! We all know the bangles, but do we know hoodo gurus???? I sure as hell do... I love them !

  • @nerdflanders8710 A bacon balls?? I have never heard that before..

  • @jagshe that guy is fresh out of the outback

  • The kind of song that instantly makes you get up and dance.

  • Dinosaurs playing guitars= EPIC WIN

  • What a brilliant band, loved them :* XX

  • Elvis, I love it x

  • Great song but Dave Faulkners side project - ''Antenna'' and there extremely underated song 'Come on spring' is better.

  • the hoodoo gurus bring me flashbacks of watching surf videos with my friends while smoking joints during high school...*tear*, why did i have to grow up?

  • Woot, what's my scene?

  • High School reunioun.. Whoos keen!!!!!!!!!!

  • SETON REUNION

    VENUE: BOAT HOUSE TAVERN 7:30PM

Do you believe it's been 20+ yrs. since we finished at Seton? Wow, how time flies.... We are well overdue for a school reunion, so lets just make it happen…... Let's try to get as many as we can from our years

"1985 to 1987." This reunion is for just our years.

It would be great to get as many of us together as possible to make it a fabulous event...

    Talk soon,

  • Im looking for their song titled Quicksand which is very fast and so cool. Why can't I find it anywhere??

  • I couldn't agree more witht Jimbell re the recognition. I saw them last month in Qld and let me tell you they still cut it live. The quintessential Aussie pub band, brilliant !!!

  • @andrellsv

OK, so maybe I have oldtimers or something and got the year wrong

  • Lyrically,harmonically,melodically simple(not like brazilian songs)but i LOVE IT!

  • I love these guys. There used to be a clip on YouTube of Death Defying, another great song, but that has dissappeared.

  • Check out their new song "Crackin' up"

    Its bitchin!!

  • This song is awesome and so is the NRL version :P lol

  • Love it. How can I be cool too?

  • This from someone who can't even spell "stinks".

    LOL @ MasterDroog

  • ab olutely loved this when it was out fall 1987. went out and bought the album in 1987 but only liked one other song. now i like the whole album.

  • They sing this song?? I never knew that! I love this song lol it's such an Aussie classic

  • @thevengance I heard this on my friends ipod and said the exact sme thing, haha

  • @thevengance I heard this on my friends ipod and said the exact same thing, haha

  • ...this video has been alive for almost four years... yet it has achieved the number of views that britney's vids do in a few hours.

    god save us

  • i love this song, but a girl from syddney broke my heaart and it aches everytime i hear these guys,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,so bittersweet

  • @twon1986

this happened to everyone in the 1980s. aren't you now mad you wasted your time and thoughts on someone who didn't care about you? the time and thoughts would have been better spent elsewhere on more deserving people and things.

  • adoro o som deles

  • OnYa Hoodoo Gurus; I'm Proud to be an Australian too but Fuck What is an Australian

    OnYa Hoodoo Gurus

  • Enjoy the Great Psychedelic Explosion!! SLEGO!

  • As a yank, this is a great bank (no prep here).

  • American preppies worshipped that song in the late 80's. I think they actually prayed to it.

  • This is a song that Australia can be proud of.

  • That, and I Sucked a Lot of Cock to Get Where I Am.

  • Why?

  • Cool song, that's why.

  • They are saying, i love you baby , so love me

  • This song always makes me smile!

  • Muito bom!

  • Hey! I know these guys personally... I saw them on tv once. Really nice guys! Sang this very song just for me too. I will never forget it... wish I would have thought to get their autographs.

  • you didnt know them personally then did you...that doesnt matter anyway if you know who you are.

  • my mum's brother's wife's brother is the bass player :)

  • And my dad's uncle's cousin's son's nephew's dad's step brother's homosexual husband's dad's neice's husband is the guitarist :P

Inbreds lol!!! Just joking, nice one.

  • Sadly this excellent pop song is now better known as a sports theme. Taking the piss out of yourself with your own video clip has never been a great career move. Oh Well.

  • great riff and great aussie song.

A year 7 playd this with lyrics for a kareoke comp today and won.Damn, he was good.

  • This band is something so many bands never have the ability to reach or even aspire to. They're fun!

  • Agreed. Whatever happened to FUN?

  • F.U.N is out there.

  • Didn't the lead singer form a band called The Persian Rugs?

  • fun ?, fuckin fun ?,, hey the bay city rollers were FUN,, but they were also utter fucking shit ,, fun aint an arguement for nothing

  • @spadge321 what is your rabid point DA. Are you pissed that the Rollers are gone? Or does fun conflict with your cutting edge appreciation of such trend setters as the Fall and jd?

  • @spadge321 it was not an argument, but an observation. Lighten up junior.

  • @musiclvr1954 The Ruby Shoes, Australia!

  • un mito degli anni '80!!! grandiiiiiiiiiiiiii

  • awesome - i was a tiny kid when this was out, used to dance to it before little league

  • Brad Shepherd for P.M

  • Great song, it reminds me of a time now long gone, of myself and my girlfriend Siobhan dancing around the sun room in our house to that so catchy chorus, nostalgia's a strange thing, and a lovely thing

  • Remember The Screaming Tribesman?

  • Look art Citadel Records, I didn't know them back then but was a big fan of the Hitmen and Radio Birdman. Just bought their CD. Excellent.

  • haha i love this song. i used to dance to this when i was a little kid. aussie bands are sooo cool lol

  • such great songs. and great memories this band brings back to me.

  • these guys have the best songs and music videos to boot! great work!

  • my dads cousion is in this band . Brad Shepherd ! <3

  • ur dad cousin is ur cousin

  • one of my favourite aussie bands. go dave!

  • jimmy barnes and the kids were no 1 in the charts at the time -daryl braithwait was in the mix along with the hoodoos.paul kelly and the messengers were also about-and i listensed to all of them in oz on fox fm black thunders .they still do that?

  • kiwiin, - Wikipedia them, they are an Aussie band, not kiwi.

  • the good ol' times!

  • These guys would blow a shit band like Nickelback off the stage in two seconds. But look who has all the money....There's no justice.

  • Where is that booga, booga matches song? I can't find it anywhere???

  • that's a awesome song

  • Like others these days this band suffered from bad videos. Made it Hard to take it serious.

  • Thanks. Greetings from Brazil.

  • I sooo love Dave Faulkner's voice - and this video suits the song like a velvet glove! One of my fave 80s groups. Thanx for posting!

  • This is so my scene...

    Pavel Penguin

  • whats my team!!!!!!!!!*australian version*

  • thats my team* sorry

  • they played at the belly up last year in solana, tell u what, best concert in a long while...great,great band!!!

  • So true, quite an excellent show that was...

  • What a freakin' great song. Always a favorite.

  • It's taken me 29 years to think I may have probably figured my scene out - so I may be biased. IMO good lyrics, music holds up brilliantly and video still conveys the theme of the song.

  • Realy...Wonder....Fulllll!!!! I agree.

The best of the best; No bitch, no beast.

    Aloha Bro's.

  • Saw them at the Lady Bay,Warnambool early 90s......Went off their heads!! Cool man.

  • I saw Ucanny Xmen at the lady Bay in the mid 80's and watched 2 sluts have a fight over who was gonna root Bwian!

  • I remember The Hoodoo Gurus filling the Bay. Last time they played Warrnambool (sports stadium) they couldn't give tickets away. Well, okay I got given some, but can't have been more than 50 people there. Live music in Warrnambool is on life support.

  • I had the honor of seeing the Hoodoo Gurus in '91 at the Gothic Theater in Denver. Whenever I want to "flashback" to my college days, I just pull out Stone Age Romeos or Mars Needs Guitars, pop it on the turn table and transport back to those simpler times.

  • Fantastic band ... never got the recognition they deserved.

  • I was given an album (remember them) years ago by a mate who didn't really like them. I've been mtb riding in the middle of no where and i'm sure i'm faster with the HG's on the headphones

  • im must be seriously old, as all these guys music lands with me.

    so good to hear.

    hehe.... days gone by.

  • wow! How old is this song?! I must've been really little, because I can *barely* remember this.

  • haha i keep singing "whats my team" from the NRL

  • Excellent band, one of the best Aussie acts ever and yes, I agree, good comedians too. They never took themselves too seriously. They have extremely good taste in guitars, too. The Gurus are great.Plain and simple.

  • hows 'bout the little river band? or am i dating myself too much? I do love the gurus though! speaking of comedy...ever see let the blood run free? good comment brother!

  • GREAT CHORD RIFF..

  • WHATS MY TEAM!!!!!!!

  • SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i mean scene!!!!!!!!!

  • ahhhh takes you back doesnt it?

  • the best song.......

  • do u mean best!?

  • good song (Y) .. xo.

  • i remember this song, back in the day me, my dad and his friends going surfing, all over the the place... so fun... i miss those days a lot !!!

  • The manic-what-the-hell copy evrything and I think they don'even know about the excistence of the Hoodoo Gurus. Please don't put their name in the same sentence with the Hoodoo Gurus.

  • WHAT?

  • who was that in the old school cronulla sharks jersey

  • Great video says a lot about the closed-mindedness of people who are supposed to be open minded.

  • I couldn't agree more seadave!

  • Are the Manic Street Preachers ripping off The Gurus. Me thinks so. Check out 'Your Love Alone'- very HG vibe about it. Way too earnest however. Not like the joyous Gurus. Long may they reign.

  • this is a great song fuk yeah

  • If you watch Thank God You're Here (Australia.), What's My Scene is the theme song.

  • no, it isn't actually. come any time is the song.whats my scene was used to pormote NRL, but changed to whats my team...

  • What's My Scene was once used to promote TGYH

  • Stop being so fucking racist all of you! It's the Hoodoo Guru's, GET OVER IT!
