I do a ketogenic diet for many reasons, here are some things that are real important for ME, in making this diet effective. 1. High level of ketones 2. Restrict carbs to very low levels, less than 20g. 3. Restrict protein levels to body requirements 4. Restrict fluid intake, this will increase ketone concentration. 5. Eat a SLIGHTLY subcaloric diet. 6. I eat a large percentage of calories from fat, about 70%.
I use MCT's, (coconut oil) occasionaly, but that stuff is rough on the gut.
What is the point of getting big if you cant fight?. You try to appear more masculine but really aren't. What a waste of time. Sorry, I just dont see the point, Judo is the ultimate way to be fit and strong and thats final. Look at Fedor Emelianenko (the #1 fighter alive) he is abit chubby, isnt too big at all, and would kill anyone.
What a total tosser!!! Who cares about fighting? Emelianenko Who? Go to a fighting channel, this is body building.. learn the difference before you make a fool of yourself!
your book is only good for cleaning my ass after taking a shit.....its so funny to fool a 53 year old loser...pillow chewer...fag ass..by the way, why don't you take off that funny stupid hat...you look like a fag clown...hahaha..i bet you practice the Chinese padlock....hahaha you funny idiot...and on the other hand, the outfit that you use is completely GAY....i realize that your head is filled with water instead of a brain....with a golden fish inside...
you can gain 4lb of dry muscle a month, he doesnt know what hes talking about u can use body weight training exercise along with gym equipment meaning 'naturally' which u gain 4lb of dry muscle a month phhh bout 6lb a year u on steriods youth?.
I stand corrected. Under the BEST possible circumstances the average male body can create between *0.25 and 0.50* pounds of dry muscle tissue per week. That's the natural amount that your body chemistry will allow. So your looking at 1-2 pounds of dry muscle each month. That equates to 12-24 pounds of muscle yearly. My bad. I keep on learning every day
Nice screen name. You are a complete moron. I don't train to be big you fool. I train to be healthy. You are obviously a very insecure person. Work on your self esteem bro.

Hey Rico I am trying to build muscle, and gaining my numbers on the scale are going up quicker than they are supposed to, I'm worried that I've been gaining fat, along with muscle. So what's a reasonable goal for how much I should gain in 1 month?
You can only gain about 6 lb of lean muscle per year naturally. Other gains would be fat and water. Be dedicated and each month , each year you will get bigger and acquire more lean body mass.
Oh my I had no idea it was that little, but how come I've seen videos of people gaining muscle, and it was alot of muscle weight, and you could see them getting bigger in a short amount of time, is this completely fake?
per year. Don't get down! Gaining lean body mass takes time and you will gain some fat while doing it. Just adjust your cardio and carbs if you are gaining too much fat along with your muscle gains. Once you've added your muscle the right way, it won't go away.

why did arnold say in his prime he was only able to gain 1lbs of muscle a year (guessing this was while he was juiced up)
Cr3w96 3 years ago
Most sources say .5 lb per week which equals about 2 lb a month or 25 lb a year...remember your total weight gains are accompanied by fat gains too.
totalhealth4life 3 years ago
i can gain 3lb of fat a week or i have missed the point ?

Did you mean 6 lbs per month? Because this 6 lbs per year makes me really sad about my progress, because I've gained quiet a bit of weight

I said you could only gain it "naturally". People who use steroids can gain quicker obviously but the health risks aren't worth it.
