  • JEFFUS CHRIST

  • i swear....jeff loomis and emil werstler should put together an instrumental album. thatd be fuckin amazing!

  • Hey somebody tell me more about Jeff Loomis! Where is he from? thanks..

  • @subshrub Colorado i do believe.

  • @subshrub He's a Cheesehead lol. He's from Wisconsin.

  • I would like to use this opportunity to express just how much I FUCKING LOVE THIS SONG, IT'S CONTAINING EVERYTHING I VALUE COMPRESSED INTO FIVE MINUTES OF TONES, it's pure brilliance, it's what makes us human beings unique and now I have no more coherent thoughts to translate what I feel.

INFINITE UNIVERSE, BENIGN, POWERFUL, FLAWLESS, GENIUS.

  • @BioticDog epic comment is epic

  • the sound of guitar play into my heart

  • This is one great fucking album

  • Freaking beautiful. Jeff Loomis is definitely on a completely different level of guitar playing. Normally I don't like instrumental shred albums because (in my opinion of course) they're just pure wank with no intentions of writing a good song. Jeff Loomis did the seemingly impossible by writing killer songs and comibining that with his ridiculous technical ability. With that said, here's my message to him: thanks for making me wanna quit playing guitar because I'll never be this good lol

  • I see chem-trails everywhere....look ^

  • Awe inspiring.

  • @ArpeggioFelatio NOPE lol

  • Jeff is a 7 string guitar god

  • Players in the same league as Jeff technically.....there arent many...George Bellas example song =(Shedding Skin)...Bumblefoot = (Guitars Still Suck) Tony MacAlpine =(Hundreds of Thousands).... and a few others..Uli Roth of course comes to mund

  • oh my god that section that starts at 1:34 is so powerful, i wish i could explain how it makes me feel

  • 00:50 is awesome hopefully his new album is filled with more clasical stuff =]

  • Oreos and Jeff Loomis... Jesus.

  • Does anyone know what amplifiers Jeff Loomis uses?

  • @thunorrr Engl amps(different ones, like for example the Savage 120 and Powerball...)

  • @MrAndy24deth Not really. He records with an Engl SE and a modded Engl invader with 2 Ruby tubes. It varies on the song and album :)

  • @NeoMetalx You would know you fag -_-

  • fuck off to the 3 people that dislike this song

  • This masterpiece moved me deeply and brought tears to my eyes. I didn't see it coming, but I'm in thrilled.

  • 3 people cried to death

  • the 3.17 piece is just epic !

  • Interesting song, What does the picture represent, like the name zero Order phase.

  • jeff is truly awesome!

  • I heard the shit out of it.

  • I have start the Jeff Loomis religion where Jeff is call Jeff Christ. We are almost 60000 in this but 3 people are christians...

  • jeff you're the fucking god!

  • ME GUSTA

  • @Metalsinger418 Are you a fellow Funnyjunker???

  • The dislikes are arising!!! No, this song is beautiful. Everyone should love this song.

People obviously do not understand beautiful music!

  • I.. RevizeLOL have just disliked this video. This song is highly overrated.

  • @RevizeLOL Define highly overrated.

  • @RevizeLOL sad but true. guess I had to high expectations after all those comments. still, Jeff is a genius and this song isn't bad in any way.

  • Paul Gilbert Who ? Yngweegee What ? Steve Vai not ? Joes Stumped ? Vinny More or less ? Joe Satriani all Guitar Soloists in their own Right but good Lord this Loomis Cat is UnGodly Gifted could very well be the BEST of the Bunch!

  • ONE DISLIKE? WHO THE FUCK IS JUSTIN BIEBER?? :@

  • the one dislike is the guitar that jeff loomis didn't use to play this song

  • The 1 dislike is Chuck Norris... sorry Chuck someone surpass you on this one

  • 1 Person is a justin bieber fan.

  • @AwesomeGuitarVideos Even Bieber fans aren't dumb enough to dislike this....lol.

  • @Ithyphallics justin bieber dislikes this LOL

this on is one of my most favorite compositions!! jeff is a genius!!

  • @Ithyphallics Anoint my phallus with the blood of the fallen.

  • @Ithyphallics yeah they are lol

  • Beautiful =) Really is

  • Fucking Beautiful.

  • on a sclae from 0 to jeff loomis... how good are you at playing the guitar ? = P

  • @joaocarlospalhinha some one who started playing 26 mnths ago and i still suck haha i kno a few a7x, metallica, pantera, death, and some chimaira

  • So... are we supposed to commend you on liking :white" music even through your oppression? Or... believe that it must really be good, if even a black hood rat likes it? I mean seriously, what does your race or upbringing have to do with the quality of Jeff's playing? Nothing... if you hadn't guessed. Comments, and even worse, attitudes like yours are what perpetuate division, hatred, and racism. Get over it already jackass.

  • @xenthar79

I like it how you didn't reply to anyone at all

  • @walshy0001 Was it hard for you to figure out who my comment was directed towards?

  • @xenthar79

lol no, but I doubt black0dragon0kai knows your replying to him

  • @xenthar79 You say that attitudes like his are what perpetuate division, hatred and racism yet you use the term black hood rat as if that doesn't demean a race too. Sure, your race doesn't matter when listening to Jeff Loomis, it's colorless and it touches the souls of all men. Isn't that all the more reason to let someone tell their experience with Jeff's music on a youtube page? You shouldn't down someone because they give a little background of how they got into the music.

  • @REvamp91590 No, my use of the term "black hood rat" was in direct reference to him saying it... And I'm not downing him or his background... I'm criticizing him for using his background to validate Jeff's talent, and/or his illusion of ascendance because even he... a black guy who grew up in the hood likes it, as though he's a better black person... As I said it's a stupid attitude that creates division and a sense of inequality.

  • @xenthar79 Oh okay, I see. Then excuse my outburst, I misunderstood your words. Though I think he was trying to get at that he broke the status quo (musically) by listening to Jeff Loomis which now I suppose is a little silly. You can listen to Jeff Loomis and still be a dumbass no matter where you're from. Well I apologize man, my mistake.

  • @REvamp91590 No worries bro...

  • There isn't a dislike for this video.. What happened was that individual was shaking violently after hearing this song, and accidentally hit the thumbs down. I mean, obviously....

  • 1 dislikes = 1 guy saw his entire family killed by a psychopath the day he voted for the video

  • Incredibly talented guitarist for sure

  • Jeff you are AMAZING

  • MY GOD!!! One of the best guitar songs of all time. Amazing feeling.

  • I ordered this album off amazon like 4 months ago and it just kept getting back ordered every month til they just gave up n I never got it ... >:(

  • If one day Jeff and AJ Minette of The Human Abstract joined forces to create a neoclassical supergroup, I would die a happy man.

  • Jeff Loomis is the Chuck Norris of Neo-Classical metal

  • @xxxxpremierexxxx No sir Jeff Loomis is the Jeff Loomis of Neo-Classical Metal.

  • @xxxxpremierexxxx no, Jeff Loomis IS chuck Norris, 100X the man Chuck could be

  • I'm into neoclassical, however my fingers are just too slow to do those sweep picking and legato. Damn it.

  • Could and have listened to this for hours!

  • Jason Becker does have ALS, but his family made up a form of contact. To this day he still writes music via eye motions. Goes to show, a man can deny fate.

  • @NebirosAndWinter what's als?

  • Unbelievable!

  • Yeah. Loose change-an American coup.

  • ok guys whos better

    rusty cooley or jeff loomis?

  • @DANnJORDAN Jason Becker is just as good or better. It is sad what happened to him!

  • @suluprince what did happen?

  • @DANnJORDAN Jason Becker has the disease ALS.Basically it renders all of your muscles useless from the head down!He lives in a wheelchair now.

Becker has old footage of him playing Malmsteen songs in high school on You Tube.

He also employed Marty Friedman to play the songs he composes to this day.

    It's all on You Tube.

  • @suluprince and Michael Lee Firkins and Greg Howe and Steve Vai and Joe Satriani, etc. So many great guitarists are willing to support him. You can tell what a big influence Becker had on Loomis, especially in his song Sacristy.

  • @suluprince that cd with marty friedman..was that called cacophony?

  • @fireguye4 I think so!

  • @DANnJORDAN Rusty is better with technique.

Loomis is a much better musician though. Much better tunes.

  • @HolyReprisal hmm, thats really hard to say you know? i mean if you really pick things apart, then maybe you can notice a slight difference, but jeff is definitely making more attractive music. i hate when cooley just makes songs that are endless shredding. loomis makes high points and low points in the song, so better dynamics.

  • Loomis is too awesome for words.

  • Yeah, I hate it when people assume something has no "soul" or "emotion" just because it's fast/technical/etc. Songs like "Jato Unit" and "Race against Disaster" are upbeat bliss.

Regardless, this song will always be pure gold.

  • LOOMIS, the metal thanks you...

  • The beginning sounds like something Sysnyster Gates would play. Fuckin wicked.

  • @Kryptik316 Never compare a shit guitarist like Synyster Gates to Loomis. Loomis is god. And he will kill you.

  • @Thgreatfailure Meh fuck you. Its my opinion. You dont have to agree with it. Its just the tone of his guitar in the beginning that reminded me of Avenged Sevenfold. Loomis shits on Synyster Gates.

  • @Thgreatfailure cmon man, synyster is a good guitar player too. but your right, hes nowhere as godly at guitar as jeff loomis is

  • Comment removed

  • @sinzlife1: He's decent.

He'd be better if he weren't in such a shitty band.

  • @CallingCrowe there band isnt shitty. cmon :P

  • @sinzlife1: Yeaaaaah, no. Pretty shitty.

If you're older than 16 and still listening to A7X, you've got some mental development issues.

    I recommend growing testicles.

  • @CallingCrowe so your saying all of a7x's fans that are over 16 and are dudes, need too grow testicles?

  • @sinzlife1: That's a pleasing summary of what I'm saying, yes.

  • @CallingCrowe thats a lot of fans that have no balls then

  • @sinzlife1: Absolutely.

The same applies to every metalcore band.

It's the glam of our generation: hordes and hordes of walking vaginas.

  • @CallingCrowe then what do you listen to

  • @sinzlife1: Solution .45, Swallow the Sun, Nevermore, Kamelot, Anata, Kalmah, Skyfire, occasionally Tool, Anaal Nathrakh, Lamb of God (2nd and 3rd album only), Behemoth, Scar Symmetry, Vital Remains, The Berzerker, Origin, Psyclon Nine, a handful of rock bands.

Nothing terribly underground, really. Just bands with at least a handful of talent.

  • @CallingCrowe What about Megadeth? they're extremely talented

  • @zaktan415: Megadeth is pretty good. Kinda boring to me, for the most part (I'm not big on Mustaine's vox), but the guitarwork and overall writing is pretty badass.

  • @CallingCrowe yeah and chris broderick used to be in nevermore :D

  • @CallingCrowe how much of megadeth have you heard?

  • @metalguitarZomg2: Somewhere around "all of it."

  • Absolutely breathtaking. This man is a fucking genius. I wish he would go on the road with a full band with this.

  • Well I think that ends the argument that Jeff has no feel or soul to his music.

Even though most of his stuff with Nevermore is mostly filled with emotion, it's just that people speculate and judge too quickly.

  • I lovey Jeff Motherfucking Loomis!!!!!!!!!!!! \m/

  • Who says metal can't be pretty? This guy is great i'm lovin this song

  • @ 4:33 , i hear some of that there lacrimosa mozart. anyone agree?

  • One of the most emotional songs that I heard, Jeff Loomis has complete package!

  • Even Chuck Norris looks up to Jeff Loomis

  • This is the first song to ever move me to tears, if thats not crazy enough, im a Big Young black man raised in the the hood who has been fed rap music all his life, even in that i had the insight and intellectual level to open myself to other genres of music, of all the music from classical to death metal only this track and sacristy have actually produced tears, jeff loomis you are a fucking genius.

  • @black0dragon0kai I understand. I too am a young black man who has found his way into the world of metal after years of rap. I tell you what, when I decided to stick to metal, it was one of the greatest days of my musical life. Jeff Loomis is one of my favorite guitarist and though it's a far shot, I plan on getting just as good as he is. That is one mountain I have absolutely no problem trying to climb! Just wanted to tell you you're not alone in your admiration of Loomis!

  • @REvamp91590 sad human. y should you completely stop listening to a style of music just because you found another one you like...

  • @2hafstylezk First off all, I didn't say I completely stopped listening to it. I said I decided to stick to metal meaning I decided to keep listening to it. Second of all, who are you to look down on me and call me a sad human for abandoning a music genre that has barely declined in quality in the last few years? I still listen to rap (the good of it anyway). Maybe you should chill out or something and not judge me for something I didn't even said.

  • @black0dragon0kai cool story bro

  • @black0dragon0kai Kind words, but also true. The man is awesome indeed.

  • @black0dragon0kai You rock man.

  • @black0dragon0kai you are a very wise gentleman and have fine taste in music, I love it when I hear things like this, it makes me have more faith in the world

  • @black0dragon0kai Dude I'm soo sorry I'm meant to hit the thumbs up button and clicked on the thumbs down button on accident! I'm so sorry! I loved your comment!

  • @dilo777 You mother fucker messing up everything LOL JK i love this song tho

  • @black0dragon0kai Pussy! xD nice song

  • @black0dragon0kai glad to see that you where open to other forms of music, its a wide world, and i for one like to see a lot of it.

  • I have heard Pete speak of you often, Jeff...your music is a gift...a divine gift....

    emeraldeyeze

  • from 1:42 to 1:48 i thought i made up that lick but then i turned on my ipod and it turns out i feel a sleep to that song and this suck someone show stop jeff loomis he's stealling all the badass licks damn he's to good!

  • This is the shiznit!

  • This song sure proves that shredders have as much.''soul''as any other genre

  • Fight Lupis

  • 2:50 - 3:08 is the most amazing part. His shredding style is simply amazing.

    Jeff Loomis rocks!!

  • Fuckin' beautiful guitar work

  • i love how loomis can play fast and remain to have the amazing feeling over it all. and you have to give some cred to the drummer because if it was some blast beat the feeling would be drained =P

  • This is one of the best songs on Zero Order Phase. Jeff is one of my favourite guitarists of all time and this track proves it. He is the modern day Beker. It sounds like a tribute to Becker. I love it.

  • The point is all good guitar players have their own thing.... This is a Jeff Loomis link and I'll enjoy Loomis here rather than talk about someone else I was only giving an example initially about how talent is just not in one person but many. Anyways enjoy the music to me Jeff is one of the most creative and technically gifted guitar players ever!

    Cheers.

  • @immortalsoloist mate your making good point how ever I think when you said is "technically gifted" it was a insult to Jeff, as he was not "gifted" rather he worked very hard and put a lot of practice into the skill he has ACHIEVED, so you know just take that into consideration but overall I see your complementing loomis which is fantastic i love his playing too! I don't mean to come across as correcting you so sorry if I have come across as that. Shred forever!!!

  • @conorthealien Hey man,

No no I didn't take anything negatively that you said to me. See you misunderstood me a little when I said he is technically gifted he obviously achieved that gift by working really hard and doing a good amount of practice and everything. Sometimes you get gifts by the work you do as an achievement that was the point I was making. I didn't mean to say he didn't work hard. That is a given thing that he worked a lot to be where he is at:)

    Cheers.

  • @immortalsoloist cool mate I'm glad you meant that because there are a lot of ignorant guys on you tube that think that " well you could never be like him cos he was born gifted " and "and everyone who is success in music is blessed with a natural gift" so hopefully you can see why i made the comment I made and tbh there really just insulting their "heroes" by saying that. peace

  • @conorthealien I totally agree with you. Certainly being an artist is a gift but that does not mean you don't work hard to make that gift in to a part of your soul.. You can be gifted but if you don't work hard and keep learning you'll never be able to open that gift. That is something people need to understand :) and you are absolutely right man!

    Cheers.

  • @immortalsoloist completely agree. but fucking hell can i just apologize for my grammar i just looked at my last comment and Its retarded.

  • @conorthealien it's all good mate :)

    No worries about it :)

  • Why can't people just shut up and appreciate good music. Rusty is the John Coltrane sheesh what is this non sense every good guitar player has their own thing I know guys that can play just as fast as Rusty that's not even the point Rusty has his place.... All virtuosos do and more importantly it's about the choice of notes not how many you can play in a certain amount of time... Check out people like Guthrie Govan he does some of the most brilliant things on guitar but this is not about that

  • The Intro made my nipples harden up :D

  • yes jeff is awesome... but i like rusty better. Does that mean i have to act like a faggot on youtube?

  • Excellent, pure feeling!

  • Ich liebe dieses Lied sowas von!

    Einfach geil...

  • Did my ears deceive me? At about 0:40 til about 0:55 I heard a part of Bach's Lute Suite in Emajor. This is great!!!

  • Nice to hear some Jason Becker in this.

Jeff truly has the perfect balance between technique and feeling, plus he has his very own unique guitar style.

    Awesome guitar player, great song.

  • his teacher must be soo proud, he mentions him every now and then

  • hmm... i wonder if loomis smokes pot... :p

  • problyy not =P

  • i shredd and pot makes it harder / not permanently but i dont use very often

  • I don't watch the grammy crap but I heard Judas Priest got best metal performance. They should make best guitar performance just so Jeff Loomis would be on my TV lol. Then I would actually watch it.

  • slipknot almost got best band of the year for metal. lol grammys fail

  • @Darkdevil1584 yeah grammys are bull shit just look back a few years when jethro tull beat metallica in the best hard rock album.... yeah its bull shit.

  • Even if there were such a category they would probably be biased and pick someone lesser

  • Neoclassical always sounds godlike when played by the right person. Jeff Loomis is one of those people.

  • @FrostyManElemental neo classical is god like PERIOD its the most technical form of guitar playing rap sucks

  • @FedorCroCop44 Rap does not suck, new hip hop sucks. Rap doesn't suck really, it just gets owned by this. Please do not be ignorant in saying "Rap sucks"

  • Jeff Loomis is my hero

  • I like Laiho for different reasons than Loomis. I enjoy Laiho's playing, because of his flair. He reminds me a lot of Rhodes. Loomis reminds me of the likes of Friedman, occasionally Becker, and Malmsteen. His clarity is unmatched for his speed. Technically, I don't think there is any one out there who can touch Loomis.

  • hell yeah!

  • Technically speaking. Rusty Cooley is better. Musically speaking Jeff Loomis is better.

  • @Kazuath Rusty Cooley is the John Coltrane of guitar: probably the fastest, most technical player of the instrument, but he sounds like ass.

  • fucking beautiful

  • Geez, I listen to stuff like this all day, then my friends make fun of me for being a metal addict and run off so they can listen to shit like taylor swift, john mayer, and the jonas brothers. Music today is such a fucking joke.

  • Which is a bigger joke? They insult you and say you have a bad taste? Or them running off to listen to crap?

Either way, You're the superior there clearly. Well, Musically I mean. You are the wolf among sheep.
