I am loving zen-coding in Aptana, thanks!! Q - watched your Vimeo vid, maybe that was text expander? Wondering how to wrap content in Aptanta (like the list of exsisting items in ul>li*) - possible?

TBH, I don't see the use of this. Unless of course you're gonna be writing single-page HTML websites. Might be handy learning it. But if you're going to be writing dynamic PHP sites... I don't see the use.

Yes, I'm a developer. And I repeat my statement: I don't see the use for this. The total amount of HTML to be used for any site is not of such an amount that this should be needed, nor could any decent site be that complex. If you're making dynamic sites, it'll all be parsed into HTML anyways.
This seems to be usefull only for people who don't work with PHP but just plain HTML.
How can this not be useful.. Every tool to make you code faster is useful, its like having dynamic code templates. And its not like when you use PHP that all the HTML just come falling out of the sky.. Sure you need to type less HTML but you still need to make some templates, why not make them even faster then before?
Mate, how do u define something being important? For a coder, speed is important. If not, why use an IDE? IDE offers speed, flexibility, debugging, etc. but then you might call those as not important, just as you did in your ignorant comment.
If you're working on PHP, you'll be working with either a framework of a template system. Enter TPL files. It allows you to only add things once and use loops if you need more. If you do as the vid shows, even for just one line, you'll still be editing the result manually, to insert the reference to the PHP files. It's a fancy, but pointless feature.
This is only useful for static HTML files. And if your HTML files are so big you need an IDE to edit them, you should be using PHP instead.

There will be speed improvements in writing the code, but I don't find it important.
