My sweet kitty does the same thing but she barely makes any noise, she doesn't meow very well. =) Her name is Squeaky cause she squeaks rather than meowing. <3

lol my cat does that when he sees a bird in the garden. His tail goes all stiff aswell lol i'll try and get it on tape. Or else he miaows but no sound comes out
