I miss Peyton and Lucas but at the same time the writers have done a phenomenal job of filling that void. I can still feel that OTH vibe in all the new episodes and the new characters they brought in are so fun and dynamic and interesting. And I find myself forgetting to miss Peyton and Lucas. I would LOVE for Chad and Hilarie to be back for the series finale or if it gets picked up again, season 9. :)

Well, Hillarie is actually doing a new series called new beginnings, check on wiki. It's painful to hear, but this could be one of the reasons she is leaving oth.. I dunno, just a guess. But i guess life moves on and new story lines have to emerge. It's just the way TV is. Change is good I guess, but it's still hard trying to imagine it all without Lucas and Peyton. Strange. In any case I will force myself to keep watching.

i don't think its really Chad's fault though. He told Mark a long time ago he wasn't going to return yet Mark still signed on for a season 7. Chad does not have creative control over the show either. He's not the one writing her off. Thats all Mark. So why is Chad being blamed? Just because he wants to move on with his life.
