@Willz136 Any Garrett turbo that ends in R is Ball Bearing. So the GT3076R for example (GT30R) is ball bearing. So yes, the GT25R is ball bearing

@rayvdub As long as it isnt blown sounds like a great deal. Average for a decent 35R, without the polished and anti-surge ported housing is around 800 from what I have seen. One like this I would expect 850-875 used.

People get very impressed with this behavior of the bb turbos, non bb turbos only doesnt have this behavior because it needs oil pressure, if you put oil pressure in the bearings the non bb turbos make his too.

@hermeshilbertjunior ide like to see you blow into a journal bearing turbo and have it spin like that. with or with out oil pressure. it wont happen. you can manually spin a bb turbo by hand and it will spin for a good ten seconds, you manually spin a journal bearing turbo and you will get maybe 2-3sec top.

@AZRRacing i have here 1 gt3076R, 1 gt35982R and 1 gt4094R. They are great, but i already see a hx30 with oil pressure spins in the car after the engine turns off.

If the journal bearing turbo has pressure in the journals, it turns very easy because the axle of the compressor floats in the oil, there are no direct contact between the parts, thats the difference, look at how fast the bullseye turbos spool and how much power it can handles.

@AZRRacing the 2-3 seconds is WITHOUT oil pressure, if you get external electric oil pump, the oil pressure makes it spin like a ballbearing turbo, the only difference between the two is that the bb doesnt need oil pressure, just needs the oil to lubricate, a journal bearing NEEDs a lot of pressure to be floating, and then it spins freely. make a test, put a external oil pump making the same pressure as a engine oil pump and spin it, this is the real comparison.

@kuenzcrispy You need a rotated turbo kit. The turbo is physically to large to fit in the space where the stock turbo goes, and it wouldnt bolt up even if it did.

Ha, I did the same thing when my GT4088R arrived (also from ATP). Once the bearings get a few drops of oil, it is amazing how easily ball bearing turbos spin. I can blow into the inducer of my 40R from a foot away and the wheel spins.

in his defense think about it cuz i have tested my turbos like this for fun too. if he spun it with his hand he would have spun it in the opposite direction because that would be the natural tendency if he used his right. makes me think its possible its real. though my precision gt30r never spun that freely ;) i have a vid of mine testing with a can of compressed air

If it wasnt on the car I would do it with both hands visible. But having done it myself, all I can do is swear to you that he didnt. Check out the other video I have where I shut the car off and it continues to spin for like 45 sec. That should give some indication of the low friction :)
