  • that's a beautiful fretboard

  • where the heck's this guy have to be so soon ??? lol...you should TAKE YOUR TIME DUDE..WE are trying to learn one badass Doobie Brothers song...dang man

  • quit biting your fingernails!

  • Um, it's called tabs. >>"

Also, this is YouTube. It's just as easy to upload the whole thing instead of a preview. Previews of things are pointless here. >>" Just saying.

Although I noticed you did play it differently than normal, which is kinda interesting.

  • This is great stuff and not intended to teach everybody every thing. An advertising teaser for those who want or need more and a great way to see how someone else does it for those of us who don't. I have been playing for close to 40 years. I love to see someone elses take on the music. Playing by ear is all I do, but every now and again i see a better or different way, Got to love it.

  • I have purchased a few of these videos & I find them to be worth every penny. They are detailed & in high def & they are geared for beginners & advanced alike. They are also inexpensive for what you are learning. Just IMHO.

  • I'm trying to figure out Pat Simmons fingerpicked part in this song. There are some posted that are close, but aren't the real deal.

  • crazy ass guitar

  • Great lesson! Hope you guys have more Doobie tunes in mind.

  • beautiful guitar beautiful

  • @CRAIGARRR We have rights and royalty agreements with more than 80 publishers and artists, so they are paid. We sell full-length lessons online, DVD and with affiliates like iTunes. We display previews here but some free introductory lessons, too. Many channels on YouTube, owned by Google, are partners and many people and companies make money from the ads on their YT channels becaues they attract viewers like us. This is just how Internet business works for Google, Yahoo and so on. Best,

  • @iVideosongs So basically you use Youtube for your commercials. And if I want substance I need to go to your site and buy a lesson that has the rights and royalty agreements to a song. You paid for the rights and that is your justification for charging us for a slick lesson. If I learn a song from Joe Blow and not paying him anything to see the 3 or 4 chords to play the song, do you really think I am taking food from the artists mouth?

  • @CRAIGARRR CraigArrr, we're not really interested in arguing or debating with people on this stuff. But in terms of the way the music business works, things like sheet music or tabs or other tools of the trade are protected so that a writer gets something for being a genius. You're free to buy or not to buy whatever you want. If you like what we produce and think it worth a few bucks to get a 30, 40 or 50 minute music lesson, great. If not, cool, learn from others. You're call!

  • @CRAIGARRR You can also learn how to play guitar by ear... this way you won't need any of these walkthroughs...

  • @snoookie456 you need years of experience to play guitar by ear this is something only an advanced player can do

  • @fiftieslover I've been playing guitar for three years now by ear and I got the hang of this tune for seconds ...

    Wanna say something?

  • @snoookie456 yes. In seconds, not for seconds

  • @snoookie456 There is nothing wrong with instruction, it is a lot better than doing anything by ear. Try putting a timing belt on your car by trying really really hard. If you don't know how, it's not going to happen.

  • @Terardar If you believe that playing the guitar is like fixing a car, you'll never be a good guitar player... or a good mechanic lol

  • @Terardar Plus... I'm sure I won't be able to find a way to put a timing belt on my car... First of all I don't have a car. Second of all - I don't know anything about cars.

But I learned this song by ear and then checked if I'm doing anything different. Guess what? I'm not :D

  • To play the blues harp part of this song...what key would I have to look for..ty

  • You should be using the Gm7 chord

  • @remyfds exactly it's Gm7 bar chord on 10 fret and than a Cm7 to a Eb and so on very simple but still awesome to play gets everbody going :D!

  • how long should it take to learn the position of a kpl of chords? you saw him play the chord, you know what it should sound like, play it and slide it up and down the neck a kpl of times till you find it. stop being lazy and learn some things for yourselves.

  • @djgreenway822 It's a preview.

  • good point craig but copyrights are only germane to the country of origin. Australian artist don't mean s*** to US and vice versa.

Its just a club- on big club with nasty lawyers but a club nonetheless. Music is a gift from God. Its man that wants to charge for it.

  • If i want to see comercials i'll go watch tv

  • That chord isn't in the right form, is it? It doesn't sound correct.

  • thanks very much for the short and great lesson... really cool, reggards from Peru

  • Listen to the Music, Doobie Brothers.

    can you dig it?

  • some times im in a hurry and i dont have time for big long lessons. ive found 36 seconds is all most of us need, Kinda cool

  • short and sweet is all they realy need ..

  • your giveing away to much away here...?

  • haha

  • how come all these vids are only :36 secods long ,...... kinda sucks

  • @danielc121162 Did you notice that it says Preview Lesson? Makes you wonder what that means don't you? Maybe it shows that you have to become a member to watch this whole thing.

  • @danielc121162

it's not about the length man, it's about the quality and how useful the video is.

and this video is useful- this dude is teaching how to play the right chords of this awesome song

  • @danielc121162 Because if you want to learn the song and aren't capable of teaching it to yourself, you'd either have to buy the tab book or go get real guitar lessons if it wasn't for the internet. He's selling guitar lessons. Not a difficult concept.

  • Comment removed

  • @danielc121162 because its a preview lesson of the ones people will purchase if they are interested....i guess

  • @danielc121162 cuz if you want the whole lesson, you have to buy it :(

  • @danielc121162 They sell the full versions, this is a sample for their website. Yes, I was kinda hoping to learn how to play it watching this - guess I can go to Ultimate-guitar. :P

  • Oops you're right! My ear jumped to the without Lo-o-ove part. My apologies ohvnaq!

  • wrong

  • correct it pls?

  • Thanks, that was helpful, as I played it differently, but this sounds correct!
