If you want to accelerate quick. This mustang does it. If you want an overall good car, that accelerates not quite as quick as a mustang, you'd go for the Mercedes.

What you need to understand is that the Mustang is damn near 400lbs lighter than the CLS and it's barely .6 seconds faster with a perfect start. The marvel isn't in how fast the Mustang is. It's the fact that a 4200LB sedan can do 12 second 1/4 mile times. My CLS63 can easily get a move on with 3 extra people in the car. The fact that it comfortably seats 4 people and still is that fast is cool...

Luxury, power, good handling, good workmanship and safety against .. just power and a good design. That is what you see. better or worse comes from what you want from a car. If you want to accelerate quick. This mustang does it. If you want an overall good car, that accelerates not quite as quick as a mustang, you'd go for the Mercedes.

What you need to understand is that the Mustang is damn near 400lbs lighter than the CLS and it's barely .6 seconds faster with a perfect start. The marvel isn't in how fast the Mustang is. It's the fact that a 4200LB sedan can do 12 second 1/4 mile times. My CLS63 can easily get a move on with 3 extra people in the car. The fact that it comfortably seats 4 people and still is that fast is cool...

Mercedes has never been considered as serious performance!!! the new GT500 makes 540 hp in the crank. and it rapes CLS on Track and in a strait line. with a simple upgrade (pulley/tune) it easily reaches 700+ hp. Ford has been building performance cars (Boss 302 & Ford GT) and winning competitions since the 60's and 70's. yet, i dont remember seeing a Benz lifting up the front wheels! read history asswhole!!!
