To make this more clearly, (I am studying medicin, Nurse..)

will make this into steps.

One, you can make a heart beat if it has elektrik activity already in it.

Two. a defibrillator is only used if the guy/person recently died.

Three. but then when on the screen of the EKG/ECG machine is a straight line, it is impossible to make the heart beat again. That is one thing all that know of this think it funny or sad when they see something on any TV-series that do this miss-step.
