@14Jibbs14 haha! well a breakdown is a repeated pattern (usually) of a very heavy chord, (normally the heaviest chord they can play) and the drummer will us his double pedals in time with the guitarists rhythms... people 'throwdown to this by 'wind milling' amongst other things :P ... a 2 step is a part in a song where the drummer plays a 'punk style 2 beat' and people 2 step to it, hence why it's called a 2 step haha...

Interesting piece of music knowledge, screamo/hardcore originally started as a grunge/metal phenomenom, bands took inspiration from zulu "scream music" men used to scream and others used to drum along - along side this, as a sort of dance, two men from a tribe would fight to the death. You saw the same things in 80's punk, people used to fight during gigs as "rage expression" - so why does music that is supposedly more hardcore than both these examples get arm swinging and epileptic fit dancing?
